You say it's not exactly realistic, but this DLC is supposed to be super special in that it starts laying the groundwork for ME3.

Not so implausible to me. And it's likely that anyone who recorded dialogue for it might be under a non-disclosure agreement. Who knows~

As for the already recorded dialogue, I saw a youtube of soundclips from the game's soundfiles that involve Liara hunting the Shadow Broker. I should find this. I can also search through the soundfiles on my computer, but that's a helluva hunt if I don't know which folder I'm looking through. I will say, though, that I think I've been through all of Thane's soundfiles, and didn't find anything relative to what would likely count as LotSB lines =\\\\\\\\

I'd search, but... but it's almost Tuesday!

edit:  This.  Warning: possible spoilers.  It's the files this person found overlaid on game video.  Interestingly, the first lines are what are in the actual trailer.

edit edit: and I found the "hidden" soundfiles.  (pssst, this means more possible spoilers)
They're in with the bundle of conversation files specific to Liara and Illium when asking her about how to find Samara and Thane, and what she's been up to all this time.  I did not find any other folder, however, that would contain anything of the content likely to be specific to the parts of the game that the DLC will take place in.   It was also centered around using the Shadow Broker's information to learn more about the collectors and how to take them down.  And it's tied to The Observer, the guy she was trying to track down when she had you hack terminals for you.

listening to all of those Liara files.  Man, she's creepy.

Liara was obsessed! But in a good way. Afterall, if she didn't do what she did then Shepard wouldn't have come back, she would neer have met Thane and where would we be? Not to mention bringing us Feron who, by the way, is coolness and hotness but not in the Thanesque way but the drellesque way...

I guess taking Thane along would make sense in the DLC mission as the Shadow Broker provided the intel that got his wife killed. I believe I will take him along. Revenge should be good for him.

The male shep one focuses more on the friendship between the two, which is great as by the end you really do feel like the two are good mates. No dialogue! Well I'm bitterly disappointed. Still, Thane should go along for revenge.

"Thane should go along for revenge."

rawwrrgggg.  And that's what bugs me about this DLC if there really is no additional squaddie dialogue.

SHOULD he go along for revenge?

The writers made what happened to Irikah fairly important to the Thane we know today.  He hunted her killers down in cold blood and that's sort of haunted him.  So, why didn't he go after the Shadow Broker?

Did he suddenly realize that what he was doing was wrong?

Did he turn the blame inward?

Did he ever search for the Shadow Broker and failed?  Did he succeed and changed his mind?  Are there other connections?

And so here he is, and he's come to what, for all intents and purposes, is the end of his life and he's trying to find peace and make the galaxy brighter before he dies, and he may or may not have managed to find love in this twilight hour.

And now, bam.  He has the opportunity to take out the Shadow Broker.  That's gotta knock some things around for him.  Does Shepard encourage him to come with for some kind of closure or what?  Does Shepard encourage him to go out of a sense of duty?  What would Thane want?  I really really want to know this.

Does Renegade Shepard give the Shadow Broker a high five for making it possible to romance Thane?  I mean, c'mon.

I know -__-  It would have been interesting to HEAR something. I mean the Shadow Broker did give him the information.

I guess we will have to go with our own opinions on that.

Been working on my male canon Shepard for the past few weeks, tomorrow I will come to the end just in time for the DLC. Between work and craziness, I had to squeeze in something ME2 related... just not art or stories. Oh well. Everything in time.

FFFFFFFffffffff - no squadmate dialogue in LotSB?  I expected as much, but a part of me was keeping hope alive.

Why wouldn't Thane say something?  Something spiritual, something sexy, something profound.

Liara: Shepard!  Thank the Goddess you're here.

Shepard:  I'm taking my Drell and going home!

Thane:  LUUUUUNNNNNGGGSSSS

Shepard:  And if that crispy guy over there is done with his lungs, I'll take those too.

It has been brought to my attention that I have been sadly neglecting my favorite LI of ME2. This is probably because I'm trying to work on a male Shepard playthrough. First one, too, so will be interesting to see what Thane doesn't have to say to me.

I know it's for ease of character modeling, but sort of takes away from Thane's coolness factor that both his son and Feron have the same outfit. See, I could explain it away with Kolyat a bit by saying he raided Thane's old wardrobe. :P

I've been thinking about an old video showing the responses to the earlier missions that was recording from the characters in the second set of dossiers. Specifically, Thane's response when you tell him to stick with Garrus while you deal with the shutters. He seems so keen on the chance to use his sniper rifle. Unfortunately, Garrus ended up overshadowing Thane was the supremo sniper of the bunch. Sad for me, because Garrus was never really a sniper to me, I used him for his assault rifle and tech abilities in ME1.

I have this list of questions in my head that I've always wanted to ask the developers, and on that list is why they gave Thane biotics. Still feel like it was a late addition to his character considering we see no evidence of them during his introduction for the 2009 E3 demo.

Okay, here's more thinking about Thane. No squadmate dialogue for Lair of the Shadow Broker? What. The. Hell. I'm sorry, but the Shadow Broker is the reason Thane's wife is dead.

From now on, I might as well assume anything labelled a DLC has no extra squadmate banter. This might change if they release something that they consider a proper expansion to ME2. Or it better. Otherwise, I will cry.

ohai
Strangely i never seen neither Garrus, nor Thane as 'hardcore snipers'. I too mainly used Gary with AR in ME1 and in major part of ME2, and Thane, well. He really should've been more like Kasumi in battle. It almost looks like they hurried to finish some parts of the game and Thane ended up being one of those parts. Like at first his concept was very clear, but then something broke and the interest was lost. I have a very pessimistic view of Thane's role in ME3 because of it.

all Thane gurls are emo, i know =]
