A Thane mug! Good God, I would love to wake up with a nice hot cappuccino with Thane on the mug. I can't believe Feron survived. No free lungs. Damn and woohoo. I don't particullarly want to have to make such a hard decision but I would probably cure Thane if it came to it.

If they do have a cure Thane but with consequences choice, I want it to be equal. Not "cure thane but you sacrifice the health of a race." For one thing there's just about no way Thane would be fine with that. He is already guilty over his son's suffering - he wants to help the world - those who act selfishly are often the people he had killed.



It's only fair if it's equal. No one wants to have to be a selfish jerk in order for Shepard to stay with her or his LI.



So here is what I think would be equal:

a. Cure Thane, but one other person does not receive help and dies or is still afflicted with their issue or disease. Similar to the Ashley/Kaidan choice.

b. Help the Drell or help another race.

c. Develop the cure for Kepral's or for another disease.

d. Curing Thane or the Drell is one of the things Shepard can ask of the Council at the end of the game. Like the boon at the end of Dragon Age.

Finally read the letter last night.    

Today, I'm feeling like little miss foolishly optimistic, because unless BW is trolling us liek whoa, I don't think we'd be seeing this now. 

Otherwise, it'll be rather anti-climatic to have Kelly say, "Commander, you have a quasi-unread message at your private terminal".

Guess I'll share too xD He was being romantic by catching fireflies and putting them in several jars, placing them on a terrace. Apparently he did this because it was a cloudy evening and he knew how much I like to look at the stars, so the fireflies would be like stars on the terrace.

Guess it's because of that letter to Shepard from Thane in LotSB  xD

I've had Mass Effect dreams on occasion, but they're usually pretty expansive rather than inclusive.



Oh GAWD and this one time I wasn't feeling too well, so I took cold medication and passed out for nearly 12 hours. During that time, I woke up once in the dark of my room and was like "Ah, I'm on the Normandy and all is peaceful, how nice. Wait, where's my fishtank... ah well." And went back to sleep. I woke up what felt like a few seconds later panicking because I was like "OMG I CAN'T BE ON THE NORMANDY. I'M NOT COMMANDER SHEPARD! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIGHT REAPERS."



Naturally, it seems really ridiculous now, but at the time, I was freaking out on the inside.



Stupid cold medicine.

Shepard:  The same thing we do every day, Thane.  Try to take over the world find a cure for Kepral's Syndrome.

Part of me is hopeful about the letter.  I would hope that BW won't pull the plug, so to speak, and be all 'heaha we tr0lld u gud'.  It's very Thane-y to try to plan everything in advance, to make sure every base is covered.  And I admit, I appreciate being kept on the edge of my seat, not knowing what tomorrow could bring for Thane and Shepard.  

But, a part of me is listening to Linkin Park and contemplating cutting myself because this could be Thane's goodbye and when ME3 rolls around without Thane BW could easily say, 'We gave you a goodbye letter, gtf over it.'  
The worst thing they could do is take control away from the player, i.e. a situation where Thane dies regardless. Gut wrenching, yes, but it would feel like a total gotcha and it would be salt in the wound if all the other LIs got to frolic into the sunset with Shepard.

I asked Keythe an "interesting" question on his Facebook page. I asked him if he would let us know if BioWare ever contacted him for ME3. He hasn't answered yet, but that was expected on my part.

Keythe admitted in a recent post that he HASN'T been contacted by BioWare since ME2. He actually said he was hoping they would contact him, even if it's to kill him off.
