I am very interested in how this will all play out, regardless of outcome.

Shepard's in a crappy position, no doubt about it.  Does she send him out on missions with her knowing that "any injury at this point will dramatically impact Mr. Krios' body and cause rapid degeneration" so he's more likely to die than the rest of her crew, or does she keep him on board just to keep him safe?

If she's not going to send him out on missions, he may as well be on the list for transplants.  And if he feels guilty about, she can beat sense into him.  He certainly can't help make the galaxy a brighter place if he's dead, and there's no reason he doesn't deserve the same chances as anyone else, especially if he's out saving the goddamned galaxy.  If he wants to atone, he needs to damn well live.  Because...

In the end, her squad is a very small number of creatures from across the galaxy that is standing between the galaxy and its utter demise.  She needs every body she can get.  Transplantation would be an investment in that regard.

I'm also milling over the fact that only Shepards romancing Thane got the letter.  So, I'm not sure how to take that.  Do I disregard the letter because it doesn't apply to ALL Shepards?  Do I take it as something important since no other LI received a special cookie from BioWare?  Is it just a plot device to further attach the Sihas to their Thane and build the drama for them?

It just... feels... so much like the tell in their bluff.  Almost too obvious a ploy.  Because, if it's not, it's a really cheap trade for killing him off.

Disregarding the letter entirely, I find the medical report hopeful.  It was good to know he's not to the point where even a transplant wouldn't help him.  That, to me, would be the final straw.

Very seriously, if they were going to kill Thane off, it'd be nice for them to clear up the speculation before ME3 rather than build up more speculation... like I feel they have.  The Sihas really REALLY don't need his death freshly ripping their heart apart right before going up against the Reapers.

That's just... the stuff of nightmares. GAWD

Keythe admitted in a recent post that he HASN'T been contacted by BioWare since ME2. He actually said he was hoping they would contact him, even if it's to kill him off.

In a recent post or in response to you?

Non-disclosure agreements are a ****.

It was in response to a similar question (he hasn't answered me yet). Here it is, copy-pasted from Facebook:

I know as much (maybe less) as you do about ME3. I hope they'll bring me back, even if it's to kill me off.

Finally, I have trouble remembering last week, let alone dialogue I recorded over a year ago. Perhaps there's someone on this page that can help you.

There was the video of Jacob doing those shirtless crunches.   It just also happened be lulz for the 99.3% of us who didn't romance him.

I see you're a girl with your priorities in order.

I did find so much of that hilariously... oh, gee.  Poor Thane.

"Mr. Krios should continue getting regular cardiovascular exercise in order to stimulate lung movement."
"While physical stimulation may also be beneficial in keeping tissue flexible..."
"Thane should continue to wear loose clothing that leaves his chest uncovered..."

DOCTOR'S ORDERS, LIZARD BOY.  Strip and get to work!

The first thing Shep did after reading that was to hit up the delivery pickup console thinger to check the availabilty on a crate case of 5-Hour Energy.

I'm also wondering if the bit about Thane restricting his time spent reminiscing was aimed at people who are weirded about by the possibility of him thinking of Irikah.

Hello! I just wanted to direct your attention for a moment to the new introduction to the forum with an outline of the purposes of this forum now that it has been separated from the strategy discussion.

You have discussion of your favorite character going fairly well, but I'd also encourage you guys to present any fan-created works about the series to your other forumites!

Hmm.  Kimi took my first idea.

And I suppose since Feron's not so dead we can't use him for spare parts.

... Or can we.

Didymos posted up some unused audio : here.

Unless I'm much mistaken, that's his E3 demo voice.  There was a time when I couldn't imagine Thane with any other voice but that one.  I rather like Thane's voice as it is in the game, Keythe did an excellent job.  Kudos to nameless E3 voice though, because it was that voice that I totally swooned over for the longest time.

Jacob : Well he looks friendly.

Well I tried posting junk in the social group, but it felt weird when no one else was!

And now I'm going to re-re-play LotSB.

And compile a LIST.

But, really - MOAR ART.  BANNERS!  POSTERS!  PUT ON YOUR HAT SHADES AND LIZARD COATS AND GET TO WORK ON GETTING THE WORD OUT!

I read that as well while snooping through Chris Priestly posts today - NOTE: I just read it in one of the threads he had posted in, I did not read it in a post of his. And someone in NSAS is saying they read somewhere on the forums that there's a whole lotta speculation that ME3 will be announced in October.

I wasn't here for the ME2 announcement. What do we learn when a game is announced?

Since this originated from a discussion on this very forum. I am posting it here. I find it hilarious.

I had to draw it. Been working on it off and on for the past few weeks. Finally pulled out the stops and finished it. I have to say, he looks rather severe. :P

This is all I got right now.  Because it's late.  And I'm tired.

Thane totally rocks the Neo look.  Lots of places to hide sneaky things ... like guns and Shepard stuff.

Kai and Bggrl: Thanks. Had fun drawing it. A lot of times, I just sat back and laughed. I kept hearing Thane's voice saying, "Whoa." All Keanu-esque like.

:D
