Now that is a great pic of Thane. Don't know but as long as he gives Thane the lungs I'm not too fussed. Longing for Thane to be in ME3, alive. Come on, who else is going to be as stylish as Thane with the way they eliminate targets, Kai Leng would even quake in his shoes if he knew Thane was after him. That's a point, will he appear in ME3 and/or DLC do we think?

Hmm.  Kimi took my first idea.

And I suppose since Feron's not so dead we can't use him for spare parts.

... Or can we.

Didymos posted up some unused audio : here.

Unless I'm much mistaken, that's his E3 demo voice.  There was a time when I couldn't imagine Thane with any other voice but that one.  I rather like Thane's voice as it is in the game, Keythe did an excellent job.  Kudos to nameless E3 voice though, because it was that voice that I totally swooned over for the longest time.

Jacob : Well he looks friendly.

I'm so very thankful they chose Keythe as the final Thane VA. I mean that voice is good, but it's too "young" for someone like Thane.

Kai Leng vs. Thane? I would pay money to watch that fight go down.

Also, I would fully endorse Kai and other characters from the novels being brought into a DLC or ME3.

I think it'd be plain rude to leave us hanging.  They've set so much stuff up around him that it'd make sense for a DLC or resolution, since the purposes of the upcoming DLCs before ME3 is to set the groundwork for ME3.  Of course, him having some freaking dialogue for LotSB would also have made sense, and that all of did not happen.  Maybe in a future DLC or ME3 he'll talk about it [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.png[/smilie]

I do, however, fully expect him to be in ME3 now given his medical report.  Assuming nothing is done with him in regard to his disease ala a quest or DLC, though, I am not positive he'll live through it, or much longer after it.

LAWLS.

I totally meant to make an organ donor banner, but I feel so much like crap right now.  I think I picked up a disease from a carrier-monkey child who's had the sniffles all week.  I'm sniffly now and my head feels like it's full of rocks and doom.  Ugh.

I will try to make something, though!  Assuming I don't pass out somewhere.

Love Neo-Thane btw<3

On second thought, I really shouldn't be in charge of this.

After obsessing over reading Thane's dossier again, this stuck out in his medical report:

...prolonged sedentary activity increases the rate of lung degradation.

Does this mean he's discouraged from meditating?   D:

Kinda sorta, I think.  I don't think he needs to be a shirtless lizard on a treadmill 24/7 (wait, no, of course I do), but he probably does need to get up from time to time and walk around and interact with others, and a regular exercise routine is probably a must.  Think of it as sort of like having an office job.  Sitting at a desk for 8 hours straight is bad for anyone.

So regular cardio of your choice, take on missions.  He can have downtime to be reflective, definitely, just so long as that's not all he does.

Anyone remember giga-pets?

I'm imagining one for Thane.

Shepard's sitting in her office and the console beeps.  An 8-bit image of a cranky-faced Thane pops and does an intense lizard stare at her until she goes to attend to his needs.

...thanks for the Gir-sol.  I'm not sure it made the rocks or doom disperse, but it's the thought that counts.

So he can't in seclusion...he needs to be with the people h eloves..YES Shepard and the crew...

My Shepard really likes to see Thane interact with everyone (Bioware needs to start doing what those people in KOTOR2 did. Everything you reenter teh Normandy, a conversation happens or people appear in different places!)

Exactly, KOTOR 2 had a great thing going for it as did DA:O as we had people voicing their opinions of each other and their thoughts on different matters, which was great. ME3 needs to use that to have squad members sat in the mess hall or even Shepard inviting them to the mess to have a chat. Shepard: Thane, how are you? Thane: I still find it difficult to sit in the mess but I'm starting to settle in. Shepard: Right. (Takes Thane by the hand and has him stand) Come with me mate. (Leads him to the mess, turns on intercomm) Mordin, come down to the mess. Garrus! Over here! Then they all have a civil chat like you would in real life. That would be great.

What would you guys like to see if they did that?

It would be nice to see Joker making jokes on the crew in the mess hall or joke about you and your love interests' alone time. XDDDDDDDDDDD

Joker: Hey, Thane. Cuddling with the Commander again?

I loved how they teased each other in DA:O

Poor Alistair.  Poor, poor Alistair.

But it was also a good way to learn some things about them, and the occasional random convo was good.

Not that there was MUCH interaction this way, but in ME1, after each mission, the entire squad would be in the room and some conversation would go on... though I mainly just remember Liara wanting my brainmeats and Ashley being a jerk and Kaidan asking me why I saved him.  But it was still SOMETHING... something we don't have in ME2.

So, I made a quick banner after referencing organ donor images on the internets.
Debated whether or not I should take the ME3 off of the heart, and if the heart should be a lung symbol.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]

It's sad how Thane is living on a single lung right now, which isn't even working at full capacity.

Watch! They will drag this out until...suddenly CURE!

Anyway...

I think it will be nice to see Thane's interactions. How would you guys think he will treat everyone? Jack's attitude..Joker's joking and sarcastic nature...you know XDD

Yes, this!  I would love to see some cut scene convos between the crew members without Shepard.  Add in some DA:O style party banter, and I'd be happy in the pants.

There's just so much personality on the crew, it's almost criminal to waste the potential goldmine.

I think he'd be amused by most of their quirks; though, no doubt, he'd have deeper thoughts and opinions on all of them. I can't see him having an issue with anyone on the ship, though. I'd be really curious how he'd find Samara. In a lot of ways, they're very similar.

Infact, in a lot of ways, a majority of the crew is very similar. So many were created in one way or another - Jack, by Cerberus (who sort of re-created Shepard); Miranda, by her father; Grunt, by O'Keer; Legion, by the Quarians. The rest seem shaped by circumstances or tragedy - Samara, by her Ardat-Yakshi daughters; Garrus, by... everything...; Tali, by the plight of the Quarians; Zaeed, by revenge. Then there's Jacob, Kasumi, and Mordin who are all sort of what they meant to be.

Not sure where to place Thane in that. In a way, he was created to be an assassin by the Hanar. But then shaped by the tragedy of the loss of his wife and alienation of his son. And now, he's doing what he wants to be doing and is sorta who he means to be.

My two main gripes with ME2 :

No exploration.

No crew interaction.  Not confrontational, just conversations.  ME1 wasn't big on crew conversations, but ME2 made me miss elevator conversations.  For a bunch of people from different backgrounds and perspectives, they were all relatively quiet.  No late night fridge raids.  No intense lizard stares over morning coffee.  No random jokes, no UKFC (Ultimate Krogan Fight Club).

I think LotSB is a huge step in the right direction.  The car chase especially and the way Liara and Shep talk to eachother through the whole DLC is spot on and I'd love to see more of that - alot more.

Especially with Thane.  Because anything Thane says is hawt.
