Shirtless Thane for ME3, not just for science - it's life or death now!
Don't you think that jacket confines him too much?

It seems relevant to bring up a dream I had before the DLC came out.
Or rather, a nightmare.
I dreamed that at the end of the DLC, you had to choose between Thane and Feron (like you did for Samara and Morinth) except the circumstances were different and they weren't trying to kill each other, lol.
I am quite glad that didn't happen in the DLC XD

That one didn't involve the futon, did it?

Fiery : I did read your post, it's a good read. I've been chewing on it for a few days.
I bet it surprises the heck out of everyone that I think Thane's romance is one of the deepest, emotionally insightful romances BW has done period. Yes, it starts out tragic. Thane's life has been full of pain and loss, death and guilt. But it's also about redemption, hope and love. Which you see if you dig just a little deeper to see what's beneath all the layers.
Some people are turned off because the romance has the potential to end in a very heartbreaking way. Some people are turned off because Thane has a son and was previously married. Some people are turned off by Shep's dialogue options with Thane (I say options because that one single line that people seem to always come back to really isn't spoken as 'I want you Thane.'). All of that's fair. But just because a story could possibly end in tears doesn't make it any less beautiful. Just because someone loved and lost once doesn't mean they are incapable of loving another ever again nor should the love you felt for one person be compared to the love you feel for another. And just because some BW programmer put 'I want you Thane' instead of 'I'm here for you Thane' or something similar doesn't mean you, the player, should hold Thane, the character, accountable.
What alot of people don't see is that there is real potential for something special in Thane's character and his story. The writers could take the easy way out, kill him off and not have to deal with him in ME3 (I'ma firin' mah fireball, Jimmy!!). Or, they could show how Thane continues to evolve due in no small part to Shepard's actions and influence (whether or not you romanced him, male or female). Obviously a romanced Thane will have an even greater desire to live (i.e. hot Shepard lovin), but I get the impression even from friend-zone Thane that since he's no longer disconnected, he's ready, willing and able to fight the good fight until the very end.

Totally agree.
I have problems with how they word it but I understand what they are saying. XDDD.
I always think of the "I want you, Thane." as the option that the BW writers or programmers say: It initaites the romance! Go!" XDDDDD

In spanish is "Te quiero, Thane" and is more like "I love you.Thane"

"I want you, Thane," is appropriate enough (and what guy wouldn't want to hear that?). Just... not the way it was jammed in there.

Alot of people see, 'I want you' and immediately give it a sexual connotation.

Well, in my defense, I'm a pervert.
But I do like your interpretation.
