Sometimes, I hate that everyone here talks in english XD, I have sooo much things to said, but trying to explain myself in english is dificult, so..Image IPB I hate it really, maybe someone can explain it to you, someone that talks in english

Don't feel bad Kimihiko, English is my first and only language, and I often lack the ability to get my point across!

Looks like you guys had a good discussion earlier, damn time zones, damn work! Bah!

Hey you've probably all seen this - but I'm dropping it here anyway: Futuristic Lover because I'm sure you won't mind clicking on it again!

Heh, when you see Shep looking like that, you wonder why Thane offered to join at all. It suggests he isn't a stranger to being treated rather abruptly and with insulting ignorance. It's also rather telling that he still believes in innocence at all. Perhaps the fact that he is a fond if absent father is the cause of that.

Finished the new DLC recently. While I loved the confirmation of Thane's feelings in his letter, the rest of it was just depressing. I've never cared for a video game character before like I care for Thane, and just because he's special to me, I feel Bioware is going to really screw me over. Wah, I need icecream.

So. Blame my 8 cats for total destruction of the drawing i was doing yesterday. Thane/Shepard one.

Still, this might not be completely related to Thane. No wait it is.

Hanar this is how I drew my Shepard..and yes connection to Thane does exsist. After all I've romanced him with her.

Image IPB

P.s: It's still more or less work in progress. I drew this in a little hour while having coffe so...I would be grateful if anyone could give me some idea for the backround. Oh and Hanar if you can use the drawing for the idea you got, you're more then welcomed. Otherwise let me know if i should draw her differently.

BugGirl, the icecream comment totally made me imagine Kolyat riding a rainbow pony. I need another coffee.

Now, I understand the depression. Thane is near and dear to us all but, even though he wrote a letter for Shepard to see in the event of his death, doesn't mean he's going to die. We know he is dealing with an illness but until Bioware actually finishes ME3 and we know the true fate of our beloved Drell, then its all speculation.

I, for one, choose to speculate in a different direction than his utter demise.

1. No other love interest sends Shepard a love letter. (Yes, it is suppose to be read at his death but that's beside the point.)
2. He loves Shepard. Its a fact. HE LOVES HER!

3. The medical report is bad but not terrible. There are options he had not chosen. Perhaps now that they have survived the mission and WHEN Shepard tells him, "I love you, Thane." He would reconsider.

4. He has a purpose, to protect his Siha. To be there with her in the coming darkness.

5. He needs physical activity and not isolate if he is to stay relatively healthy. Shepard is MORE than willing to help him with... physical activity not not be alone in isolation. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

So, all we have is hope and a prayer. Really, we don't much more than Thane at this moment. We have no power or controll of the developers. But, some writer, whom ever that may be, put alot of work into Thane. Lovingly detailed character that he is. They would not invest so much time and money in him, he is in a lot of the promotional material for ME2, just so they could indescriminately kill him off.

I firmly believe, we will get the option to help Thane save himself. For those players who chose not to like Thane or help him, that is their choice and in my opinion they are missing out. He is lovely.

Have hope. Hope saves lives and hope, is the best thing we can do for our Thane.

I <3 Thane

Edited to add:

Its not a military pep talk but its a pep talk. ;)

This sounds like a drawing challenge, however as I am "artistically challenged" in this department it will only be your imagination that will see it Aello!

Your Shepard drawing is really good!

As much as i remember from the last year of lurking and posting in Thane threads, Mr. L'Etoile was the writer who wrote Thane and Legion, as well as Ashley in ME1.
Sadly Mr. L'Etoile no longer works in Bioware. I think he wrote it in his blog sometime last year after all the writing was already done.
I must say that is a sad thing and it somehow makes me nervous I could say. But apparently they already found other writers/ writer to accept the role of writing characters that Mr. L'Etoile so fantasicaly delivered and presented to us. He was also really active in the months before release of the game. I still remember his funny comments he did while reading who, we fangirls, pulled our hair out, trying to finally know if Thane is romanceable or not.

Sorry....it's just nice to remember those days.

Most writers know where their characters are going. You fall in love with your characters, you want to find a way to give them peace or happiness before doing something to them. A perfect example is Robert Jordan. The story was outlined, he knew where he wanted his characters to end up, Brandon Sanderson was chosen by Robert Jordans widow to continue the story on.

You never know what's going to happen. We may get a shocker or a tear jerked. I hope for the former rather  than the latter. :D

*assuming direct control*  We will abduct your cats, Aello, for their audacious destruction.  *insert Harbinger here*

I love your Shepard picture.  I love her scar.  That's one thing I missed in ME2, our battle scars!  My Shepards treat hers like trophies.

Shepard: Yep, got this one taking down a Thresher Maw on Tuchanka.

Grunt: It was glorious!

Thane: And dusty.

*collective oohs and ahhs*

I keep trying to draw a reasonable picture of my Shep, but I keep being reminded that I can't draw.

Did the same writer also have anything to do with writing what was in the dossiers and that letter in particular?

I want my cheek scar back for Aeryn and my eyebrow scar back for Nancy. Stupid medbay upgrade.

I wish I could call Harbinger and say "Oy, do take this kitties for now. And please don't say : I know you feel this while cuddling them."  I'll make another one when I have the time.

Thanks. In my mind my Shepard has scars, either those that are visible or those that are not...but mark her soul as I like to say in more poetic way.
.P.S: Don't say you can't drawImage IPB

No.
Mr. L'Etoile left last year. What the reason was, I cannot remember. But it was sad that he left. Soon after that he wrote a blog, saying that now he can reveal which characters he wrote and I think he also did comment on why he left, but as I said I can't remember.
The letter must have been written by someone else. I doubt Mr. L'Etoile came back. But if  he did, then i'll excuse myself while i go grin like an idiot in the corner.

To be honest I don't. It was linked in the old forum-world-land before Bioware social network. But I'll go dive myself in the vast land of internet to try and find it.
