I'd like to see the whole package on a few characters. I agree, there is nothing wrong with a bit of drell chest or sideboob. nothing wrong with it at all. If they have to bump up the age rating then fine. At the end of the day, as long as the LIs return and they're still part of the sqaud then I'm happy enough. I'll be even happier if there's a Thane cure brought in just for good faith.
Agreed.
One thing I liked about the LotSB dossiers was that they gave some characters dimension where to me, they were just a bit flat before.
I have visions in my head (and half written out) of a conversation between Thane, Grunt and Shepard about Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea.
Or Shepard walking in on Legion doing the robot while he's playing Galaxy of Fantasy as he's rolling noobs and later Joker complaining about how he, Garrus and Jacob were owned by some douche in Galaxy of Fantasy 3v3 the other day.
Or Miranda talking to Doc Chak in the med bay.
Needs more Thane.

He's my Shepard's best bro, too.General Ashous wrote...
I'm certainly hoping he returns whever he's been romanced or not. I think it would be unfair on the fans who haven't romanced him if he dies. Still life can be unfair... but Bioware's not so I'm thinking they may have a piece of DLC that decides his fate to bridge the gap between ME2 and 3. That is pretty likely. It may mean you have to make a choice of whether to cure him or let him die. I'd choose cure even if it meant killing hundreds and even though I'm a paragon I would still choose Thane as he's like my Shep's bro!

I support Thane's package in ME3.
Let's see if I can recall all my FemSheps...
1st: romanced Kaidan in ME1, Thane in ME2
2nd: romanced Kaidan in ME1, Garrus in ME2
3rd: romanced Kaidan in ME1, loyal in ME2
4th: single in ME1, Thane in ME2
5th: single in ME1, Garrus in ME2
6th: romanced Liara in ME1, split saves between Thane, Garrus and loyal to Liara (for LotSB purposes) in ME2
While I love both Thane and Garrus' romances, it's harder for me to do the latter's, knowing the former is there. Not just because he's so drellicious (mmm...), but because it's rather clear that he falls in love with FemShep no matter what. And knowing he's pining away all alone in Life Support makes me sad in the pants. At least Garrus shows no interest if you don't approach him first.

I just made the mistake of going into one of the main forums and seeing all the drell hate in the Liara/Feron thread. So I quickly ran back here, where it's safe and warm. And sexy.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had trouble staying away from Thane.
I have one Garrus-romancing Shep. It was difficult for me for two reasons : One, Garrus is my wingman, he's my brogan. Took me some mental shifting to get around that. Two, I had to stay away from Thane. That was hard. Even the Shep that romanced Garrus thinks of Thane as one of her go-to guys.
Someday, I'll get around to playing my loyal-to-Kaidan playthrough.
I have four Sheps now who've romanced Thane (and he's about to snag my vanguard). All but one had no romance in ME1.
I always look forward to talking with Thane. I love hearing his memories and seeing his insight into the hanar. I'd love to hear more of his personal history, what kind of training he had, maybe a bit more on that hour-long massacre on Omega, why was he on Ilium for 2 years, if Shep pulled some strings and snatched a pair of lungs would he accept them, maybe more on the old religion that some drell / Thane follow, and definitely more information on the Compact and gosh darnit I want to go to Kahje!
This is pretty much how I feel. I found it very difficult to stay loyal to Kaidan. I did manage to do it. It took me a little while to get into the idea of a romance with Garrus, but I did complete that playthrough also. I just found Thane really hard to ignore. I just love talking to Thane. I wish we could have talked more with than about the compact and his training. I still don't know anything about that massacre on Omega. It would have been nice to be able to talk to him a little more about these things.

What makes you think he falls in love with Shepard no matter what?
All 3 of my Shepards are female, and every one of them has romanced Thane. It's hard to resist the temptation when you go down to talk to him in life support. I think it's mostly the black leather, black eyes, his voice, the brooding, and his depth on an intellectual and spiritual level. Oh...and also he exudes a sort of dark, dangerous, masculine sensuality...that too.

Seems like a dlc plothole that Thane would be completely oblivious to my Shep and Liara's rendevous. This seems like something that would play out...odd in the third.
I'm thinking (and hoping) that they just didn't want to address something like that in a DLC. It seems likely that you'll be confronted and/or forced to choose in ME3.
While I think they gave players enough of an "out" to justify moving on from your ME1 LI, it's pretty cut and dry if you romanced someone in ME2 and then go back to Liara - you cheated. And BioWare had better not gloss over that fact in ME3.
And if it is addressed, I'll have to watch the fallout on the youtubes. I couldn't do it even for science, with my Thane or Garrus Shep. And especially not after reading their respective dossiers.

The fact that he calls all FemSheps 'Siha'. But even more telling, to me, is that he doesn't reveal what it means to a non-romanced Shep.
I think the reason he keeps it to himself, in that case, is that he doesn't want to reveal his feelings if he knows they are unrequited.

What do you guys feel about Thane's conflicting loves in his whole "return to the sea" thing? Let me explain: in the Dossiers, we read his letter that was intended for Shepard after he died. He talks about waiting for her beyond the sea, right (no, no, stop melting in memory, I'm serious here
Okay, but what about Irikah? He is honestly religious and believes in the afterlife. Does he just think that, once Shepard dies, he'll just chill with both of them, one on each arm? Does he ignore Irikah in favor of Shepard? I mean, that's sort of a crappy thing to do to your wife, whom you made vows (I assume) to. If Shepard were in Irikah's place as Thane's first love, I'd be pretty pissed if I spent decades waiting for him only to find out he moved on and is waiting for his new lover. I mean, we married, had a kid, I died because of you.
I mean...how does he reconcile the two? This is something that always bothers me with anyone who has a first love that dies and they're honestly religious. How do you balance them both? To you betray one? Is it a betrayal? Does Thane think his soul will split up or something and go live with both of them on different, I dunno, heaven-islands (also, I'm not sure if Thane talks about the afterlife being in the sea or across it)?
I'm just curious what you all think about it.
