so he can, so he can,
keep track of visions in his eyes.
Don't masquerade with the guy in shades, OH NO.
You got it made with the guy in shades, OH NO. ♫♪
Really, though, they don't come off for anything. I'd forgotten that I'd left him in his alternate outfit on my last play through and spent most of that scene giggling at my misfortune.

Get that outfit off of him! Its going to kill him. I know it will be hard work but its for medical reasons! We have to save Thane and if that means he runs around in his birthday suit, well, we all have to make sacrifices.

In a universe where the dead can be resurrected with perfect results, it is anything but impossible to cure someone's illness, no matter how serious.UnDutchable wrote...
ME3 is supposed to have a much lighter, more humorous tone than the other two games, isn't it? If that's the case, I don't think they'll kill of Thane. Especially not after giving us the medical dossiers in LotSB, which show that there are still several options to pursue, and the Cerberus news updates about that medigel for lungs that Volus invented. The ME dev team has so far appeared to listen to people's complaints and changed things accordingly. Considering that several people have said that they think the disease is just a cheap attempt at creating more drama, I think Bioware will take this into account when they're writing Thane for ME3. Besides, it'd be really weird for them to put so much effort into creating a character to be specifically attractive to female gamers, only to kill him off after putting him in just one game.

This is why it is so strange when people say that Thane shouldn't be cured. Thane can't be cured, but Shepard can be brought back from the dead.

Which is a Big Deal. Cost of the Lazarus project aside, this is a universe where (according to Retribution) humans have cured cancer and emphysema. Humans. The new kids. And, until something or someone comes along saying otherwise, humans are the only ones to successfully resurrect a person from being completely, totally, unquestionably dead.
I would have a hard time swallowing that the hanar can't come up with some kind of treatment or cure, with or without help. And then there's the transplant list. We know Thane's a viable candidate, he's only refused to be put on the list. If human lungs are compatible, Thane can have one of mine. Who needs two when you're a half zombie cyborg!
Welcome BB, Cheese, and JEC, Saibh and Undutchable and anyone else I may have missed!

"I am SO honored to be part of this amazing team." and then linked to an old clip of the voice actors for ME2.
Now I am probably reading into this that this is Keythe's way of saying he's back in ME3? My hubby thinks I am reading too much into this. But why would he post a vid that has been around for a while just to write what he wrote?
Thoughts?
I am trying to not squeel in delight. Oh heck... AHH!!! Happy dance!

Something has to happen. But the VA's won't admit it, even if they've been called back. Hell, do you remember that message I sent Keythe asking him if he could let us know when BioWare calls him back? He never bothered answering me, and I honestly saw that coming.

I posted on his FB that I hope Keythe gets interviewed this time around, that'd be awesome to get his thoughts on Thane and Mass Effect.
And if he holds up a bottle of chocolate milk during the interview - I would die.
Happily.

Kind of stating the obvious, but K. Farley did an amazing job voicing Thane. His delivery and timing are impeccable,. he had me right on Ilium (loved Thane the first time I saw the trailer, his voice sealed the deal).
And Thane should be cured. I understand that if you do not romance him, he gives the impression that it is his desire to die without pursuing a cure, but I think that working with Shepard would give him a new sense of purpose, a cause worth living for.

Overall, it's completely unofficial, but it's neat to see how other people rate / see the characters. Thane always seems to hang on to his spot in the 7-8 range, even this far from when the game was first released. Which is pretty good, if you ask me. He seems to be generally well-liked and seen as a useful squadmate.

Just got done reading those survey results. I'm also pleasantly surprised with how well Thane did.
