Bacteria are usually easier to cure than viruses...we only have a handful of bacteria now that we can't "cure" with antibiotics (antibx). AND - Nanotech is working in animal trials currently for resistant Staph Aureus, so in ME3 future - either the Protheans have the cure (in all that Prothean data), or Mordin develops Nanotech that encapsulates the little bacterial buggers. Also, lung transplants are a temp fix, not a cure (transplanted lungs have high risk of contracting disease again - bacteria still in patient's body!). Lung transplants don't work real well now for most folks (mortality and recurrence rate is high). However, lung lavage with antibx works VERY well now, would think in the future, it's perfected, esp in conjunction wlung transplant & nanotech!!! He only needs one side transplanted (the side with 42% loss) Here's hoping BW listens......
Unnnnnnnffff! I just love it when people bring up current advances in science! ♥ ♥ ♥
re: Thane/Any Character Ever conflict - as well-intentioned as the thoughts are to nurture a discussion about what we think Thane might think/do, I have to warn against this. Rabid fangirls are quick to accuse people of "bashing." They just appear from the shadows and rage. It's all very dramatic.

Remember:
Wouldn't it be more "Profesional" to have it say Thane Krios instead of just Thane?
Just saying...
Or does TIM work on a first name basis?

Wouldn't it be more professional? Likely! However, viewing the full length trailer, I see Mordin and Tali's dossiers at certain points in the background, and I don't see a last name to go with either of them. Must be how he has them listed in his e-mail contacts /nodnod

Remember:
True enough, but I liked Cheese's version. Jacob wasn't wrong to react the way he did, although he was the aggressor. I do think that if a Jacob/Thane conflict happened, it wouldn't be Thane storming up to the Armory, but it would be him that pushes Jacob too far.

PAAARRTTAAAAY!
I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I'm not sure who Thane would or wouldn't be friends with. Samara seems likely, maybe Kasumi. I think he'd like Tali. I'm not what he'd think of Garrus or anyone else. He's just so reclusive.

I'm going to get away of the current topic... but since it was commented a few pages ago, I had this image crawling in my mind and had to put it into paper....

It is unfinished, but you get the idea
PD: ... can someone tell me how to shrink the image?

Shrink how? Where? Shrink it on the board? this should not be shrunk. It should be larger.
Life size.

I hate it when I stretch my thei imaginatively. I mean... embarrassing. How do you explain that to people? "I was on a bike and hit a bump, and..."
They just never take you seriously again after that.
And then I picture this lizard face with its large, black soulful eyes. And all the... greenness. And when it opens its mouth, stupid things don't come out.
And it's all better.

Glad you like it!
It gave me a hard time, but was totally worth it!
I would like to color it, but I am quite busy of late, so I don't know when I will finish it...
I thought the image would appear larger, I was worried it would take a while to load.
PS: My deviantart is abnocte.deviantart.com. There isn't much to see, I just picked up drawing again after 5 years or so. And I never bothered with fanart before Thane, haha

Had to requote the picture for great justice! So very well drawn, and he looks so peaceful and happy. I need to see the finished result, like, now
However, I do have a small question. I see some people draw Thane with a navel, others without. I assume it's just a preference thing, yes? It's a shame we don't know more about drell physiology, or other aliens for that matter; I find it all incredibly facinating. I have my own theories about how drell differ from humans, but I think I'll stay mum on that.

In my imagination, Thane has a belly button. A cute, cute belly button, that's ticklish. I've put a lot of thought into this being that Drell carry their young internally. So I assume, belly button/navel. I have yet to draw Thane showing a his belly, so I haven't tackled the subject. Besides, I'm more a back and shoulders kind of gal.

Live birth, so it makes sense for them to have an umbilical cord. I know that bachelor party on Illium talks about asari and humans having navels, but it's not like he's likely to have seen a drell before. Besides that, the same bachelor party also tries to hint that asari mindcontrol you to think you look like a female of their species.
And dammit, why does everyone draw better than me?! /pout

I love the bachelor party conversation!
I used to draw a lot when I was younger then I stopped for years. I've only picked back up in the last few months. Its slowly coming back. Thane has been my muse to begin again.

You should see my earlier pieces. Kinda scarey. But I was happy with them at that time. I have no intention of ever going back and improving them. I do like how this scrubble is going. I uploaded it to illustrator and will tweak and color it and add a background.
Thanks SAIBH and JECWSU!

Ah, drell giving birth live would give a pretty good reason for a navel, I forgot about that. Stupid species keeps throwing me off with their mix of mammalian and reptilian traits...I need to see Thane do something reptile-like! Inflate his neck, shed his skin, hiss and stick his tongue out--any of these will do nicely.
