I have been trying to get them to compliment each other in my playthroughs but they seem to just compliment me. Maybe I should stop hogging the enemies >.<

From my experience, here are a couple of situations where they do complement each other (squad banter, not combat):
- While walking down the small C-Sec corridor on the Citadel, if you talk to Thane, Garrus will complement Thane's comment.
- While talking to the asari detective during Samara's recruitment mission.

I'm sure there are quite a few more of them, too.

Some of the funnest times I had was actually with Thane and Grunt.  Grunt can take a major beating.  I remember the Collector ship, Grunt being surrounded by husks, Thane sniping them one by one and me, tossing incinerates, running around looking for thermal clips.  Good times.

And they pair well together in my head.  Grunt and his exuberance for violence, Thane and his cool composedness, kind of a yin / yang thing. I like what Thane says on Tuchanka, both about the krogan and Grunt's rite of passage.

Yes, I have a preference for Grunt and Thane as my companions in combat as well.

When do the complement eachother during Samara's recruitment mission? I don't really remember, and I usually don't  go through that C-Sec with both of them. I will have to try it on my next playthrough.

I found out about it in this video a while back (before experiencing it myself in-game). Here:

Starts at around 2:30.

Things can get wonky there at the convo in the police station.  Alot of the times it doesn't sync up correctly.  To me, it sounds off to answer, 'Why wasn't I told about this?' with "That's about twice a day."

I've actually had it go :

(Insert squadmate here) : We can disobey suicidal orders?  Why wasn't I told about this?

Thane:  I have to remind myself that I volunteered for this job.

Paraphrased, not exact words.  And I think it's only happened twice in all my playthroughs.

And Kasumi says her own line :

Kasumi : Really?  I'll remember that the next time Shep sends us to get our asses blown off.

And sometimes Thane responds with his 'That's about twice a day,' line and sometimes he doesn't.

I never warmed up to Grunt like I did with Rex. I miss Rex, him and Garrus were the best. So since I couldn't have Rex I didnt bother with Grunt. Snarky comments are the best! But I can accept cool deliberate obliteration just as easily.

There's randomness involved; that's for sure. Samara's recruitment, in particular, is very random when it comes to squadmates spontaneously making comments.

Wrex is my favorite krogan in the galaxy, period.

Dang iPad, it took the w off of Wrex! Big stupid. LOL oh well...

Maybe it's just me but when Wrex yelled, "Shepard!" Then walks over and says, "my friend." I so wanted to do a tackle hug and yell, "Wrex!" at least got, "you look good for dead...." AND my favorite... "ah, the benefits of redundant systems." "yeah, humans don't have that." "oh, must have been painful..." So awesome.

Samara and Thane are unstoppable with Husks - set Throw and it's a ripping fest. Needless to say as soon as Thane is available I bring him with me every single mission. Then, depending on what class I am playing, it is an exchange of Miranda, Samara and Kasumi.

I should try Garrus again (he is after all my true second in command), I really have to micro-manage him or he tends to go Kamikaze on me and getting killed way too often.

And Wrex... well - he will always be my favorite Krogan.

Oh guys, I had to mention this.

I was playing ME2 yesterday and My Shepard is really gung-ho when it comes to fighting(Some times she forgets to go to cover) I was getting shot up by a collector. I ws almost dead then suddenly, someone killed him and said, "Embrace the Sea!"

Thank you, Thane! Love you!

Also found it sweet that he is always around my Shepard (Our romance hasn't begun yet ^__^)

Same here. I believe I have been saved by Thane twelve times, mainly when I've run out of clips. Thane seems never to run out of clips. I think he hides them somewhere and just whips them out. Wait, that sounded a bit like it was innuendo, don't you agree?

It's like testimonials in here. Hi! I'm Hai and Thane saved me 5 times. Once a mech was closing in on my position, I was put of clips and Thane head shot the mech then calmly reloaded.

Yes, one of things I like about having Thane on my team (beside the eye-candy) is that he always watches my back. Been saved too many times too count - GO THANE!.

I don't think any of the squadies ever run out of ammo...

"The taste of another's tongue in your mouth."

It was really that line that made me go, "If I can't romance him, I will NERDRAGE."

And by NERDRAGE, I mean, write a strongly worded e-mail forum post.

I love how he closes his eyes when he says that, like he's savoring some sexy memory, and then leans closer to you.

God, I'm so ashamed for talking about a video game character like this...Image IPB

Thane is too cool to be thought of as a mere video game character.
