I am disappoint.
At the same time, it makes me wonder about Kasumi. She'd be a great Shadow Broker operative! But then I suppose once Liara took over, she might know the sources of these leaks.
And since, apparently, the saved letter only shows up after the SM but you could have killed the Broker prior to that, I guess there's either still a leak, Liara hasn't found it, the writers totally overlooked this issue, or Liara's guilty of meddling by intercepting that letter and making it available.

I woke up this morning with a severe penchant to hear "Cat's in the Cradle." It was a necessity. Listened three times and now feel as if I can face the world. Of course I had a dream about Thane but I don't think that would have anything to do with my need to hear a song. Nope, not at all. Was a nice dream though.
Cat's in the Cradle is such a sad song. I've read through th lyrics, and it hits so close to home with Thane and Kolyat ughh made me feel depressedI had such a strong urge to talk to Thane about Kolyat more. I wish we could have.
The dream was so good, the song was so sad... it all evened out in the end.

I figure that Liara still has ways of getting information from the Normandy
Perhaps she added the letter to the files once Thane had finished it, since she knew Thane meant a lot to Shepard.

I have played LofSB both before and after the SM. The latter fits better in terms of narrative and impact even though the resources are not quite useful any longer.

Apparently there are just a few differences in lines of dialogue, nothing major really.
You also get the bonuses earlier--particularly resource shipments. After the SM, it's pretty useless to have.

I personally prefer doing it after the suicide mission for a better narrative. Doing it before that is only good gameplay-wise.

For my RP style, I like the sense of closure and anticipation for the future by playing post SM mission. Also, getting Thane's letter has a greater impact.
And BTW I love watching Thane's video in the SB base. The way he turns and shoots at the camera...

Actually.... Do you guys think it's wrong of Shepard to read the information Liara gathered on the squad? It was no doubt interesting but also felt like an invasion of privacy. I'm not sure how I feel about it, really. But now that my Shep knows about Thane's options (the transplant) she can't not confront him if given the chance.

Me too! The footage was apparently while he was on Kahje. Just a random assasination? I'd like to know more about the one-hour massacre on Omega, too. I wonder if that happened when he was hunting down the batarian slavers that killed Irikah?

Ooh, got one. Right, what would Thane call Irikah? I'm doubting he'd call her siha because she wasn't a fighter, or so I'm assuming, I could be wrong as not a lot was revealed about her. Any ideas? It would have been nice to meet her but...

I play LotSB after the suicide mission as well. The devs did say it's supposed to bridge ME2 and ME3. But mostly, I just want to get Thane's letter so Shep can (hopefully) talk to him about it and the medical report.

I'm not really sure how I feel about Shepard reading the squads information. I know there are some things that Shepard needs to know about her crew, but a lot of what was there was private. I think some of them would be upset if they found out.
If they let us I probably would like to talk to him about the transplant list and why he won't get on it. I really don't know how Thane is going to feel once he finds out Shepard read his letter.

I really have no idea what he could have called her. He could have just called her by her name. Becasue we don't know much about her or their marraige it's really hard to say.

Sugar lips.
Ok, ok. I imagine that he called her Irikah. I'm horribly original, I know. On the one hand, we don't know any drell words besides 'siha' or 'drala'fa'. Possibly there's a drell word to describe her much like hanar soul names? Like, a drell word for 'courageous spirit with fearless eyes' or something.

Shep confronting Thane about his medical record is kind of jumbled up in my head. On one hand, my Shep is very angry that Thane would turn down a spot on the transplant list. For many reasons. Not the least of which is leaving Kolyat all alone, again, just when they've reunited. But on the other hand, it's Thane's life and ultimately, the choice to be put on a waiting list or to even receive a transplant is up to him. I don't really know yet just how my Shepard would confront him about it. I think it's inevitable that it would come up, though.
Maybe Shep should take a page from Thane and be a little selfish, like he said in his letter.

I don't think Thane would respond well to confrontation or demands. He seems too logical to go for any kind of emotional appeal. I would think Shepard would need to use logic and gently manuever him to consider other solutions.

I think being able to read the information provided by SB/Liara is a huge invasion of privacy, none of the squad knows Shepard is doing that after all. I can't blame Shepard for being nosy though, I certainly was curious to read them
Scouring through Thane's medical records definitely seems a bit...dodgy, but I couldn't not look through them.
That neck snappin' video was from a hit on Kahje? That's pretty interesting, where did you learn that from, Julia?
