Makes me think about how we've never really seen Thane too angry
I would never wish to see Thane angry, he suits calm and collected too much, it's who he is.
If you ever do want to hear Thane speak angrily, then hang around in one spot a long time when you're supposed to be following Joram Talid on his loyalty mission.

Once I got a glitch at that part. I was stuck in a wall and the timer had stopped counting down so I couldn't fail.
Frustrated Thane non-stop for 5 minutes.
Until I gave up and restarted.
It was.... disquieting.

But I will feel so awful listening to Thane angry at one of my Shepards...
Argh! Now I remeber that the next time I did Thane loyalty mission I wanted to spot the dancing Turian!!! I just replayed it the other day!
Obviously I can't bring myself to fool around in Thane loyalty mission...

i think mordin could easy find the cure for thane and joker.
I think Thane said it well: if the best minds of drell and hanar can't come up with a cure for the leading cause of drell death, I don't think Mordin and Chakwas should be able to. Plus, they can be pretty damn dead in a lot of playthroughs--Thane's cure hinging on their survival is a bit of a wildcard to play, I'd think. Same with Joker's condition--I don't think a few months aboard the Normandy should be enough to just cure diseases.

who says some hanar character can't appear in ME3 and actually be a medical genious who cures thane and joker? still can be possible. even if none of them survived in your playthrough
You get an email in game, a chain letter I believe, that alluded to something like that happening through the "enkindlers", i.e. prothean technology.

Well, I'm pretty sure that was a parody of a certain famous inspirational poem.
Compare to
"A drell lay in the ocean, dying from Kepral's Syndrome, and had a dream. In his dream, the Enkindlers came to him and charted the course of his life. The drell saw the wakes and eddies, and saw that sometimes the Enkindlers swam alongside him, limbs raking the water, while other times he was alone. The drell saw that the times he was alone were the hardest times in his life.
He asked the Enkindlers, "Why was this one abandoned?"
The Enkindlers answered, their light shining brightly, "You were never abandoned. In those difficult times in your life, it was our bodies that bore you through the water."
The drell awoke and found his Kepral's Syndrome cured. If you follow the light of th Enkindlers, it can happen to you. Where the Enkindlers go, we shall follow, and where their light is the sun, we shall be the stars around them.
Send this message to six beings of your acquaintance, and your greatest wish shall come true!"

I wonder whether it would apply if I were to send it to six people I know. I wisk it would. I'd send twelve and get two wishes. Wish one, cured Thane for ME3. Wish two, I'm torn on. Metal body or love of your life revealed. Hmm. Tough one.

It's a journey that may or may not end before you do, but I don't want to get to the greasy details. <_<Hainkpe wrote...
@GA wait wut? Metal body or love of your life? That's easy. Metal body of course. Finding the love of your life is a wonderful journey. Why take a short cut?
Also, Saibh, that was a wonderful poem you linked. I knew it was a reference to something.

I just sawyed to that decision. Besides, I'd have wasted a wish if I chose option two. Metal nody os too much fun to pass up. Indeed, a journey that will end when I do. I wonder if Thane in a metal body could cure him? Hmm. Possible, find a way to create a body that doesn't need to breathe. Vois la! Cured Thane!Hainkpe wrote...

Rude!
As for curing Thane and Joker, on one occasion when you go talk to Mordin, one of his blurbs is about having found a cure for Joker's condition. But it causes kidney (or was it liver?) failure. So he needs to start over.
It's not like he's not trying~
As for what Thane says at the start - he does say "If the finest medical minds in the hanar Illuminated Primacy can't solve the problem, I doubt your ship's medic could."
However, he also says, "The hanar have funded a genetic engineering program. They should be able to adapt us. The project has only been running for a few years. I don't believe my body will still draw breath by the time it bears fruit."
I'm inclined to believe, in the beginning and somewhat dependent on what you say to him, defines his response and openness about the issue. In the beginning, I don't think he wants help because he is maybe too accepting of his impending death, and because he does resent being treated like a sick person to a degree.
But stories and characters progress. I think if research exists and is in progress (ala the Hanar), and you've got people like Mordin around, and the Shadow Broker's resources... you might just have a potential breakthrough in the making.

I actually like to see the little cracks in Thane's cold exterior. Don't get me wrong, I love efficient, ruthless, stone-faced Thane. But I love his sly, witty humor. I love when he sounds just a little wistful talking about his memories. And don't even get me started on epic table fist punch.
This page doesn't have nearly enough Thane.

He seems fairly angry during his loyalty quest, especially if you choose the renegade option when speaking to Mouse. But I agree. I'd like to see Thane be more ruthless and umm...commanding at times.
