Wow, Thane and Feron. I really like that pic. Never shot Talid, I thought it'd scar Kolyat for life and Thane wouldn't like it. I think that's a funny thing about Thane. He doesn't mind killing but hates it if people kill in cold blood. Hmmm, very deep character indeed.

That gif goes well with "Fade to Black" by Metallica. I can't stop watching it while playing that song. The lyrics remind me of the way he felt before Shepard "woke him up".

I wonder if Thane would like Metallica...

Fade to black is a great Metallica song. I never thought of it for that gif but you have a point.

Really? I didn't think that was the case--after all, he made a living shooting people in cold blood. He says himself that he felt no guilt over the people he killed. In that sense, I think he just felt that killing Talid wasn't justified by him being a dirty politician.

Actually, I think he and...Miranda, maybe, are the only two people who say scaring that one merc during Grunt's recruitment mission was justified. He'll say "He probably deserved it". I know that isn't the same thing as killing someone, but I think it was more a matter of justice.

Hi everyone! I've just read the Drell article on the ME2 website... This passage jumped to my eye:

Many of their more reptilian features are concealed, (...)

Was anyone else extremely intrigued by that?

They got his teeth and nose wrong...? I can tell the artist had trouble making a human-looking face that wasn't actually human. Not that s/he isn't very talented--it's a great piece! Anyhow, neat find! Interesting that they lit him in green.

You know, I've read that a few times, but somehow, I never really took notice of that. I'm not sure what to think. I know a lot of reptiles have hidden patches of color when their throats aren't inflated, but Thane's neck is already red. I'm not sure what other "reptilian" features they could be talking about.

I don't think I want to know.

The only things mentioned were the three chambered heart and modified hyoid bone which allows them to expand their throats. I'm not sure what other reptilian features they might have.

His coloring seems, off, as well. Too lime green. And Thane isn't lime green. The rest of him, well, the artist did a good job. BUT why not a neck snap? That is Thane's signature move. Also, would Thane make that kind of a face when fighting to killing someone? Thane always looks so serene and calm, even when under intense fire. He looks out of control there.

I am extremely intrigued by anything related to or about Thane. ;)

That lithograph is great, but the stance and face do seem a bit OOC. I'd probably still buy it though

Anyway, just popping in to see what's up. Been reading through  the Garrus thread when I have some downtime from school. At pg 170 currently, and I must say, I'm surprised by how some people in that thread think others in the Thane thread are hostile. I never got that impression, and I read the whole Thane thread! Strange, strange.

I think it's because we're all very sensitive over his death. :P

Ah, I'm not sensitive over his death, per se. I just think it's annoying when people say he need to die, and then can't even justify it. If you're gonna go in a thread and stir up a bunch of people, you better have a good explanation. Pft.

I've never shot Talid either. I'm not very good at being renegade.

I don't know why they would think this thread is hostile. If anything this thread is the farthest thing from hostile.

I really like the way Thane is lit in the lithograph, the light filtering in and over him as if through a vented window.  I also like the cool tones, the blues, greens and grays.  I also like the way his jacket is moving, but then, I've always been a fan of the jacket.

He looks out of control?  Hmm.  I think he looks fierce.  I actually like angry Thane.  Underneath his cool (as in serene) exterior, he's a pretty passionate guy who can be really intense when the situation allows.  I love those small glimpses underneath Thane's stone-cold armor.

With Kolyat, he's regretful and ashamed, yet determined.  With Shepard, he's afraid and conflicted, yet strong.

I agree about the neck snap though.  I would have loved the litho to be of an epic neck snap.  Glorious.

To me, Thane's litho, next to Grunt's, which is all warm reds, oranges and yellows would be really nice.

The $80 price tag for both, not so much.  :crying:

I said the very same thing yesterday!   I was just looking at lithos for sale a few days ago and didn't even see the character ones.

They go on sale as a group - Thane, Grunt, Tali this coming Friday, I believe.  Then, the week after, they will go on sale individually.  There's a thread about it on the main BW boards, scroll alllllll the way down and it should be in the BW Store Support forum.

Courtesy of Godsy from NSAS, this gif

http://pics.livejour...sy/pic/0001beqf

has shown me that Thane does not always look cool and friendly during a hit, and I can appreciate that. I really like the moment they capture in the litho. For all that some people desire more instances of him kicking ass, I'd think there'd be a warmer reception to seeing Thane in action.

I think his nose seems off and more human because it's scrunched in action-snarl. Otherwise, the only thing that stuck out to me were his teeth. They seem so tiny compared to what I notice in game.

But again, I'm so not going to complain. I absolutely love this. Maybe enough to buy it. Or pimp the fact that it's in time for my birthday.

USA Today has a story on Mass Effect: Inquisition. The story focuses on Capt. Bailey and Executor Pallin and is set on the Citadel.

New book or comic being released? Shame it isn't about Thane, huh? That would be a great read.

I'd love a Thane comic.

I don't know that I'd love comic-drawn Thane, though.

Yeah, comic Thane probably wouldn't turn out well. Novel Thane though... heaven. I wish Bioware would expand on some of the characters' backgrounds and exploits in novels. That would be a great read.
