We all need one of those coats.  I love my leather coat, but... his is infinitely cooler.  'Cept us ladies might look like Samara if we were flaunting that much chest... okay, so, on second thought, that would probably be hot.

Perhaps a random question for my favorite drell fans: If Thane were to listen to human music, what would he pick? Something classical? A romantic ballad? Maybe screamo is soothing to drell ears?

He seems interested in human culture so I think he'd explore all music. I can't help thinking he'd listen to classic rock (and by "classic" in ME I mean anything from modern to '60's rock). And probably classical, stirring symphonies.

They probably will never let us see what's under that jacket.

Did BW ever release designs of a naked drell? Don't look at me like that. I mean, there's a body design of the turians you see everywhere, which fanartists love to reference. I've never gotten any of the Mass Effect art books so I honestly don't know.



Also I'd definitely do more fanart of Thane if there was.

I agree - he seems very worldly (or-- galaxy-y?  Universe-y?  Hmm.)  He knows the writings of human philosophers, after all.  If he's that well-read, I'd assume he listens to all sorts of things from all species.

The real question is... where does he put the earbuds on his futuristic iPod?  Until now, I'd never thought about his ears...

Okay, that is actually a good question.  I haven't seen any.  Maybe they didn't bother, since it seems that drell are a lot closer in shape to humans?  I can understand the need to have such designs for a turian or salarian, since they are so different.  It certainly couldn't be because they don't intend to show us what's under the jacket.  I still have hope.

I re-watched the ET video again - for scientific purposes, of course.  I don't see any wee little holes indicating ears, unless they are hidden in the folds on the side of his face.  I think you must be right - internal like a snake.  Random zoologist fact: snakes don't have eyelids, either.  Aren't you glad they didn't make him completely snake-like?  I love his double-blinks.
