Does anyone know if any new fanfic has been posted? I can't get enough of it, and my husband is on the xbox, so I depend on you all to get my Thane fix.

Mahalat, I haven't come by any other fanfic.. but you know I'm actually in the mood to write some. I just have no clue where I could post it. Do you know any websites that would support hosting fanfiction?

This may have already been mentioned but, IIRC, Thane was primarily written by Chris L'Etoile, who has since left BioWare... so, yeah.

I'm not quite sure what your position in this statement is.  It is a sad thing to hear great writers leaving, or developers for that matter, but regrettably it does happen.  Simply because a great talent has left no sooner should cause assumption for another talent to ruin previous work. 

Should the new writing team choose to alter Thane's fate, well, that's out of my hands as a consumer.  Though, I personally feel Thane has a very strong presence as a positive promoter for this game.  I cannot make the assumption that this character already was written out, and even if so, that the new writers will adhere to that line of predetermined conduct.

This doesn't alter my opinion, enthusiasm, or confidence in our members of the Cure Thane Krios Fanclub, or pursuit towards the developer's attention in obtaining a favorable outcome for this character.

That does worry me a bit. He did such an excellent job with Thane, and he is so well defined, I hope they can find someone to continue the work laid out by the original author.

That does worry me a bit. He did such an excellent job with Thane, and he is so well defined, I hope they can find someone to continue the work laid out by the original author.

Check out my response Mahalat.  Don't let that worry you.  Writers / Devs come and go, it happens very often.  Thane was created as a staple for female gamers as a LI.  That hasn't changed.  Thane has done his job and totally cast a sweet scaley spell of love over us all.  It would be a pretty silly business move to shoot themselves in the foot if they didn't continue to support that.

Id love to see Thane as a party member for M3. What I dont know is if he will be cured. If you look into Drell biology, typically Drell live to 80s. Thane is 38 or something along those lines. He tells you he likely on has 8-10 months to live, I would think this means that he is pretty terminal in his disease.

Only way I can see him getting better is if he 1) gets a transplant lung from someone (his son maybe) and 2) lives on a more Arid planet for the rest of his life (or somewhere on earth like the American South West).

If he gets both of those things, he might be able to survive for a lot longer.

My prediction about Thane is (if he survives in your ME2 game) he'll be in ME3 but I don't think he'll make it. Me thinks Thane will have an epic death scene of some sort in ME3.

Hey, I love the guy, but if he dies, I want him to go out in some epic way, maybe go down fighting or by protecting you, rather than to die on some hospital bed.
