As for a fairytale ending, ME isn't designed to end that way. Part of why ME2 is so dark and gritty is to pound that home for those that still haven't realized it.
That's totally your opinion, and I completely disagree. This game is dark regardless of rather squadmates / shepard survives or not. Just because this second installment is gritty and dark doesn't mean that it's a certain path to the ending of ME3.
Anyhow, you and I have very conflicting opinions. Thanks for your responses but we're probably not going to get very far debating this lol.
