If someone volunteers to do this 25-page thorough financial analysis and forecasting of KONE corporation for me, I'll be more than happy to stay with you guys nonstop. Stupid real life, disturbing my fangirling businesses.

I have SO MUCH unfinished fanmaterial on the works. There's the on-going bowl of lemons, there's another bowl of lemons waiting to be baked with Thane/Irikah, I've got this Thane/Shep letting go of their past lovers pic of symbolic fail in the works, one Kolyat pic, one Shepard pic, one Thane pic and one Thane/Shep/Feron pic of such questionable nature that I can't believe I'm actually doing something like that......

Why can't I work on all that now instead of stoopid analysis. I've spent so much time with Thomson Banker database that despite our previously passionate relationship, right now our love is facing some dark times.

I feel your pain. I'm the accounts admin for a private school here. While I don't have to do the analysis work, I do the accounts for 4 sites, maintain the trust account for student fees, the GST & PAYE (taxes), budgeting, blah blah and blah. And sometimes I call the accountant, who loving goes by the name of Darth Vader. No really, I can actually phone him and ask for him by that name.

As for the fanmaterials. Oh my gawd, tell RL to go awayyyy. Some of us here *cough*me*cough* like questionable just as much as everything else.

That's just as much work, if not even more. Great thing about analyzing and forecasting is this: if you guess wrong, you can just brush it off by saying something along the lines of "Financial situation changed in an unforeseen way, we couldn't have predicted this from the way company X has performed in the past". In accounting? You better get those numbers right. LOL.



I think... hearing about an accountant going by the name of Darth Vader is probably one of the most awesome things I've heard in a looooong time. If I ever end up as an auditor, I'll take on a pen name like... Poison Ivy or The Emperor.



Also. Questionable. Yes, questionable WINS, ladies. But this is graphic we're talking about here. >_> And while we're at the subject, LADY, DARN I'M LOVING YOUR NEW VEGAS FIC. Not at the smut part yet, but it's still awesome - it's one of those pieces of writing that you just get stuck with. Can't put it down once you start. I highly recommend reading it to all the other lurking Booniacs in the thread!

THIS. Oh dear gawd THIS. I love it that I can just pick companies (say, a company and some major competitors) and have a databases give me comparisons on basically anything I can come up with... very few things I have to calculate myself anymore. Thank goodness for that. And now you've reminded me of why the passionate love between me and the said database was born in the first place and I feel much less anguish over spending so much time there.

My database has literally saved my life and backside more than once.

We <3 you too. Thane has been through a lot and needs his women to stand strong. Hence, like monks, we go through numerous harsh exercises daily to keep our minds resistant. You've spent too much time with Garroogurls, but staying with us here, eventually you'll be able to stand much more brainial punishing than before!

Well, I am a Garrus folk and a Thane folk. that does not bode well for my very thin thread of sanity... The picture is actually hilarious! I have just been laughing my head off at cora's 'ode to a zipper'  Raven's drell horse and gnas computing pi all day.
Looks like someone plugged in the overlord on you gnas!!
The Garrus thread can get a bit crazy, not as mad as clan Vakarian  But the Thane thread beats all, even the moderators shy away from this thread . Unfortunately, I do not work in finance, I work in a bookshop. Not fun doing ten hours a day for 6 days straight which is why it is just a post here and there from me. But after christmas there shall be much more drellicking from me!

Speaking of drellicking, it's midnight in Finland and I've officially granted myself the permission to delve into a realm of more pleasant things than analyzing stupid numbers. I was reading this and that fanfiction when I stumbled upon a writer whose stuff I hadn't read before and was utterly to surprised to find an impressive amount of win there!

As follows, possibly the awesomest piece of Thane-in-action I've ever read. Definitely cracked me up, at least!

His Locust and biotics kept the creatures back. None of them made it within her range, which was to say, none of them were crawling on top of her. Thane had forced them back into the tunnel, with his strange acrobatic combat style that seemed more like dancing than fighting. Shepard tapped her foot. She wanted to kill something.

Trying to distract him so a husk would slip past, she let out a loud catcall. He didn't pause, didn't even seem to notice. Shepard sighed loudly and pulled her knees up to her chest, draping her arms across them. A wicked idea struck her, and she kept the whistles up and shouted, "Take off your top!"

She'd expected him to ignore her, or slip up. She hadn't expected him to flip over a husk, fling his jacket off, and shoot the creature in the back of its head. His jacket fluttered and toppled down in front of her. Shepard blinked in shock, then let out a wild cheer and dissolved into a fit of giggles.

They slowed to a trickle and then stopped all together. She hadn't killed a single one, and she didn't care. Thane brushed off imaginary dust, and glanced at his jacket. Shepard scrambled forward and snatched it up before he could retrieve it.

"Siha…" He clipped his pistol back onto his belt, and walked up to stare down at her. "I feel as though I've more than earned my clothing back."

"You'll have to trade me for it."

"… My other layer is a single piece."

"So?"

"My only other layer."

"Oh." She fingered the leather idly, and locked her shotgun back onto its holster. "Well, you can't expect to sell your body and keep your dignity."

The chapters are one-shots, very much worth reading. Cora's seal of recommendation!

Tasha, just you wait, the writer is fully amazing to me right now! Everything she writes seems to be full of unexpected turns, and it's not often you see renegadeish Shepard and what I'd classify as dark!Thane done with such grace.



Did I mention all these completely unexpected turns? Just read chapter 2, I was like:

Biological sciences here.  Ask me about the affects of protected areas, tourism, or development on species... or the intricacies of coastal environmental law... or, well, let's just boil it down to 'critter stuff.'  I got ya covered.

I just read Fringe by SailorStrut / Cheese. Awesome, Thane can pull off a headshot (whoa, almost typed head****) with zero collateral damage and braid hair.

Me too!  Oddly enough, I just recently was trying to teach my husband to french braid mine.  He knows how to do a regular braid, thanks to having a sister.  I will tell him Thane knows how to do it... that will be his motivation.  Every man should want to be more like Thane.

LOL!  I am not very good at french braiding either.  I can't do it on myself, only ever did my girlfriend's hair.  Mostly I was joking when I said he should learn, but he actually thought I was serious.  I wasn't about to stop him!  As I type, he is playing black ops, cursing like a sailor at the TV... ahh, my love.

Poor Kolyat.  He just can't catch a break.  His daddy shoots down his dreams of getting girls by becoming a sexy assassin... and now he finds out his dad has outshined him again.  Don't worry Kolyat... you can still learn to braid.
