I shouldn't read any other thread about returning squadmates in ME 3. So many people callously write Thane off as dead. It makes me sad.

I vote Thane succumb to his lung rot sooner than expected. Right after the last mission in fact. Lung Rot. What kind of punk ass dies of humidity poisoning.

Well, he's not dead yet!
And I can't believe Bioware will kill him off silently between ME2 and ME3. They wouldn't do that to us... would they?

It wouldn't make sense. Look at how much time and effort they invested in him! It would be counterproductive in so many ways.

For a company as publicly dedicated to giving us choices, makes no sense to not give us the chance to find a cure.

I support Thane being kept alive for Mass Effect 3. Maybe they could find a cure using Vorcha DNA.

I feel the same way.  Not to mention he's the -only- character that has a terminal illness?  Seems awfully suspicious to me <_<

Tamyn, don't let them bother you.  The masses usually don't think far beyond the immidiate.  Most who succumb to this 'sickness outcome' neglect much thought towards some extremely obvious nudges from the developers in the game.

He states he has 8-12months until symptoms show (not death).
The codex states lung implants are a viable way to lengthen those stricken.
He's the -ONLY- character that has a terminal illness.
There's a chainmail letter speaking of (specifically mentioning) a Drell being cured.  (They easily could've put in Krogan and Genophage instead)
You get hooked up with a genius genetic scientist
Thane states the Hanar are actively working on a cure
He was created as a love interest for female players

Okay so generally I don't do fan art.  And I'm generally uncomfortable showing my art to those not close to me but I figured that we all love Thane in this thread so I'd share my drawing with you.  That and my 3 year old son told me that Thane was Cool while I was drawing it    I hope this size is okay it was huge and I had to scale it down alot.

Lets have death and dying mean something in ME3...
IF he is going to live i say it better be because you worked with cerberus and gave TIM the collector ship and reaper.I would like some benefits to making that decision.
