I wasn't really into Anders. He was too much of an Alistair spin-off. Couldn't see him as anything other than a brother to my warden, like Joker and Garrus are to my Shep. But ah well, every fangirl has a preference. :>

Really needed to clarify. Definately not an Anders fangirl, just thought he was hilarious. We see him the same way. Garrus is so the BFF/brother to my Shep.

And Thane is everything else to me, er, her.

I don't think so. I think BW is waiting until they release ME2 for the PS3 in January before they come out with anymore DLC.

I'm watching utube videos of the exclusive dev reveals and it doesn't sound like our Thane at all. The reveals character's voice is not as deep. Just my opinion though.

I think at one point Thane did have a different voice actor. There was video on youtube of the other voice actor, but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks for sharing this!  I had looked for one a while back, but came up with nothing.  I might just decide to get this when it comes out as a Mini-litho.

Poor Zev could finally get some!  I feel so bad for Zevran--I love him to little bits but Alistair's dopey sense of humor is exactly identical to my boyfriend's, so Alistair gets an unfair advantage.

I have romanced Alistair, when he gave the rose, I said

'Feeling a bit thorny are we?'

'Damn, she will never see through that I thought, how wrong was I!'

And then earlier in the conversation:

'Do you know what this is?'

'Your new weapon of choice?'

'Yes! Watch as I smite the darkspawn with it's overwhelming floral scent!'



See I just love joking around with Alistair. I think Zevran's romance becomes more full of depth later on, to the point where he doesn't join you in your tent because he feels something more than just bow-chick-a-wow-ing (yes, I used your phrase again Raven!) And the epilogue for Zevran and his face when the warden made the ultimate sacrifice, I can't forget that. It doesn't help that I was listening to ghost love score by nightwish at the same time...

Whereas, Thane's romance has a lot of depth to it too. He is the only LI to say the 'L' word. Kaidan came close, but couldn't man it. Garrus' romance is great, Thane's actual scene was the best, but Garrus is just so amazing.



That picture of Thane on a horse reminded me of the Old Spice advert.

And thankyou for the picture of baby Garrus! I loved the baby mobile thing. It reminded me of a great Garrus fanfic I read where his undergarments had 'light red' snipers on them

Thane is that pleasant mix between depth, virility, spirituality, and affection. The guy even has a funny bone under the right circumstances.

I just have a phobia of horses.  Like all phobias, it's irrational.  

Zev's romance actually has a surprising amount of depth if you keep pushing him on it.  He even has an adorable outburst about why you keep talking about feelings   Oh, Zev.  And unlike Alistair, if you work Zev's earring conversations the right way, Zev proposes to YOU instead of you declaring your engagement to the entire Landsmeet.  Awakening's cuts notwithstanding, one of the things I love about Zev is that once he's in love with you, he fights tooth and nail to be with you regardless of anything else.  It's irresponsible, but highly sweet 

And Nate = win.  My friend's Cousland ended up with Nate, and my Amell with Alistair.  I would make another Warden for Zev, but there are so many things wrong with DA:O's design despite how much I adore that game.  The combat.  Dear god the combat.  So poor Zev gets friendzoned until I find a way to port him to ME2 for my non-Garrus romancing Shep

God, I know what you mean about the combat in DAO. It's clunky and dysfunctional. Good thing they're smoothing it out in DA2.

I know about Zev's romance. It sounds very sweet, but he will always be friendzoned in favor of dear Alistair. That and my canon import for DA2 is a human noble who became the princess-consort, so it just... fits that she'd romance Alistair. Even though she could have them both, bwahaha.

Back to Thane.

Wait, Zevran proposes to you??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?! This has never happened to me HOWHOWHWOHOW!!!

Sorry that my typing suddenly became incomprehensible. I have had many playthroughs on DA:O and have never encountered this... I know that a human noble female can marry Alistair and become the queen, and that transfers in a cameo into Awakenings, but Zev?! Zevran becomes so attached to the grey warden, that he can no longer talk casually about sex, but he tries to avoid talking about feelings, love is something he's never experienced before. And all you have to do to earn his love is toss a few silver and gold bars his way We have had this conversation previously, but I do find Zev similar to Thane in some ways. Obviously being an assassin, but the detached way that they refer to themselves, they objectify themselves, and yet they are both confident individuals.



Loving the old spice references. That is a beautiful torso. Hmmm... Where are you Garrus? Ah yes, I'm playing DA:O at the moment. Getting all ready for DA2!!!!!

I love horses too, it is all part of the medieval atmosphere and reminds me of the sword wielding RPG's that I spend so much of my life on. I do prefer Thane over Zev though. And Garrus over them all!!! My love for this thread will not make Thane my preference over Garrus. Even without the oral contact provoking our group hallucinations.

I wonder, is this a hallucination?
