I'm thinking ... I will not buy DLC for ME 3 if there will be Thane. Buy the game to finish the last story, but the additives do not ask.

There will be Thane. Logically, there must be. Terminally ill or not, it would be unfair to invest in an LI only to have him die between games. If he dies in ME3 then it was expected, the show must gone, etc. But if that is the case and there is no cure... many a fangirl shall be heard throughout the land, weeping and gnashing their teeth in woe and anguish!

DO NOT MAKE US GNASH TEETH, BIOWARE. PLOX.

I doubt that he will be able to properly fight if it may take several months after the events of ME2. His lung capacity at the first appearance of 42%. The video can be seen as he breathes deeply. It immerses me into the depths of despair. That means it will have to be treated.

LotSB gave us some clues to what we can expect in ME3, I think. Thane's medical report, his love letter... which doesn't fill me with much hope, but at the same time, I'm convinced he will be in ME3.

In LotSB can finance a study that antibiotic. I have it ended in failure, but One unit was completed successfully. What do you know about this?

Sorry to interupt mid-discussion, but I have a question. Over on IGN, they're saying that the trailer "The trailer alluded to rumors of a new multiplayer element for the series, which will likely take place amidst the human resistance's battle with the Collector invasion force."

Huh? How did they get multiplayer out of that trailer. I've never gone beyond single player, so maybe it's ignorance on my side, but still, I don't get it.

Help?

Thane's resistant to a few antibiotics at this point. I don't know about any of them being successful. Spoiler alert for those who haven't played LotSB.

Thane's Medical Report From Dr. Chakwas

Lung Capacity: 42% (left-side lung shows large lesions, right lung has nodular lesions only)
Antibiotic treatment: Now resistant to cipoxidin, malanarin, alburcin

Metastatic progress: stomach, liver (minor), heart (negligible at this time)

Treatment Options: Viable transplant candidate but refused to be added to list. Synthetic lung generation currently impossible for drell.

That's his medical report. I think being the active love interest will increase his chances of showing up in ME3, due to this:

Therapy and Care: At this time, Mr. Krios should continue getting regular cardiovascular exercise in order to stimulate lung movement and prevent or delay the stiffness that causes lack of oxygen transport. While physical stimulation may also be beneficial in keeping tissue flexible, any injury at this point will dramatically impact Mr. Krios' body and cause rapid degeneration. It is unclear how much longer Thane will be able to serve in direct action. Thane should continue to wear loose clothing that leaves his chest uncovered to prevent moisture buildup that could worsen the problemThe drell eidetic memory is often beneficial in allowing drell to escape unpleasant scenes by losing themselves in happier times. In this case, however, Mr. Krios should try to restrict the time spent reminiscing as prolonged sedentary activity increase the rate of lung degradation. This suggests that what is best for Mr. Krios currently is to continue to remain active and engage with other team members in order to stay mentally and emotionally stimulated.

Now, I am a perv, of course, but I have a feeling gaining loyalty / completing romances will increase those characters' chances of returning in ME3, as they have the most chance of surviving the SM. That's what I took from Thane's medical report. Engaging with other team members to stay emotionally stimulated (i.e. gaining his loyalty, making friends, romancing him, etc.) is the big one for me.

The teaser trailer? The only thing I saw suggesting multiplayer was the potential significance of the British sniper dude, but that was a full-scale Reaper invasion... not a Collector invasion.

I hope they don't introduce multiplayer to the ME universe. If they do, they better stay away from MMO's. Those things ruin lore.

Yep, I agree. But I'm worried about some of his stats. It doesn't give status on his probably sexy six-packed stomach, but his liver & beautiful heart have minor damage. So a bit of a worry, but maybe that can be healed easily.

Yes dear, you are a perv and so are most of us here. It's like a Thane self-help group for drellickers. Posted Image
I also agree with you. That's how I read it. It's like when Chakwas tells Shep her scars will heal if she "thinks happy thoughts", does good deads and romances Thane. I'm sure the romance in itself is very stimulating. Posted Image So maybe it's a positive report for us? Please BW?

The only thing I know about multi is that I do not play well with others. It's why I no longer play Tekken or any of those. I don't play sports because a) I'm, well, fat and B) lazy c) a sore loser. I just don't like people seeing that side of me whether it's a playstation or a pc.

Ruin lore? How's that possible?

I read somewhere that did not talk about MMORPG and about the possibility of multiplayer.

If Thane die my Shepard kill himself on the nearest Reaper (Them as many on Earth), or leave the monastery. And let BW save the galaxy yourself.  :P

You must be my twin! Ah-ha. But being all of the above aside, I also don't play sports because I hate the sun.

I have played... let's see -- Guild Wars, which was ruined by the presence of tiny space kittens. World of Warcraft, ruined by the introduction of sci-fi into a fantasy realm, among other things. And Age of Conan, ruined by... well, PVPers. I play MMO's to RP and they just don't satisfy my RP needs for long. But in the words of Joker: "That's just my opinion, no need to go spreading it around."

Also, yes. Paragons make all the friends and have all the best outcomes, excluding the potential ultimate sacrifice that may be awaiting us in ME3. Renegades have to work for the money. Admittedly, if Thane dies it would be fun to... I dunno, join the Reapers and destroy all life in the universe?

This is true. Part of me still thinks that they may have never had any real intention on letting him die.

I Posted Image you Raven! And everyone else on here! Sorry I wasn't on here last night, I was at a christmas party. It was a most interesting event, especially when I realised that I was barn dancing... The wonders of mulled wine...

Although this is really sweet, I hope there isn't a marriage in ME3. I just don't think it will suit Shepard, or fit in with the ME3 story. It suited DA with Alistair, but maybe that's just cuz I'm scared of marriage! Hehe. I don't think even Thane would suit getting married to Shepard, the closest I could see would be Liara with Shep.
But I suspect that Thane will get a spectacular story arc, they wouldn't build him up for nothing!

Also, I find it most amusing when our behaviour scares off all the guys who attempt to enter the thread, but I love it when they do! I love it when people join in our discussions. I'm like mnomoha, the groups are hard to navigate, so I prefer the threads.

Yeah!! The only bit of boogying Thane does is when you swap him with Shepard!
