God, I hope they don't pull a baby Shrios. I love how they handled the half-elf dilemma in DA where all offspring of humans and elves are humans, but I don't think it would work the same way with humans and aliens. Not unless a Shep-Thane baby was like, a human with solipsism or something.

You mean that Kelly is half-drell!? She totally goes in solipsism mode after the suicide mission.
Totally creppy!

Yes! Kelly's father is a drell. Lololol.

When I was first introduced to Thane's solipsism I thought, "Okaaaay... that was weird. Must be an alien thing." And then Kelly did it and I just went <_<

"Is everyone on this ship going to randomly relapse into memory?!"

Raven I think Kellys little, episode. Was suppose to be a flashback rather than eidetic memory.

I know. Post-traumatic flashback. But it was similar to Thane's flashbacks.

The experience of the crew can not technically be called PTSD, under the currently diagnostic categorization it would be Acute Stress Disorder simply because not enough time occured between the trauma and her symptoms. Most likely her anxiety and stress will alleviate themselves within a few weeks. Depending on how she talks and deals with the trauma.

What Thane exhibits is more in-depth than the human equivalent to a flashback. His eidetic memory allows him to literally go back at will. Whereas flashbacks are usually triggered by a sight, sounds, smell, taste or touch.

Welcome, Collider! :wizard:

I think Thane's romance was the most well done for femshep in ME2.

I'm talking based on game mechanics. The flashbacks were similar in terms of how the game projected them, not why they were occurring.

The flashbacks were weird, including for Thane. Too melodramatic.

They were for me too, at first. But they grew on me. :>

The game mechanics still apply. Thane voluntarily spends time in his memories. Kelly flashes back involuntarily when talking to Shepard about her ordeal.

Either way, it's a neither here nor there. Back to the Thane goodness!

The first thing I thought when I saw Thane falling into solipsism was:

'Hey, he has iris!'

XD

My first thought, "Hey! Who turned on the spotlight?" Sheesh, I thought I did something to cause him to be lit up like a Christmas tree.

@Gnas, ROLF. It remembered me more of a classic interrogation where you put the lamp directed at the suspect so he won't see who is asking the questions! XDD

This video was posted here long ago, but it is so hilarious that I'm posting again in case someone missed it

Now that's a true fangirl!

@Tash LOL I do like fortification. So pretty, reminds me of Tron. But I don't think it was meant to be just pretty.

I didn't really know what to think of those flashbacks. They had to grow on me also.

I just think the facial expression says it all. Great picture! You should check out Ashira Shepard's motivational thread sometime! There are some amazing ones.

As to the discussion as to Thane and marriage. Last time he married, it was a commitment he couldn't keep, it appears that they really loved each other, but Thane was a contracted assassin then. Now he is a freelancer, so in terms of problems before with Irikah, it seems he is fine to keep to a commitment. For any Shepard's who want to get married to an LI. My Shepard certainly wouldn't.(Partly influenced by the fact that I am not a huge fan of commitment myself... Maybe I will find a Garrus parellel universe person and rectify that, who knows! ;)

Why buy the pig when you're only gonna get a little sausage?

*snicker*

Seriously. Marriage needs to be conditional in games, like in DA. Or as Tentura suggested, there's nothing wrong with it being mentioned but it doesn't need to ever occur in the game, thus providing an open end epilogue left to the player's imagination.

If I wanted to play house, I'd play the Sims.

...I'm disappointed, raven.  Not the quite the levels of brainbreakery I usually expect from you :P

I did make a house of KOTOR characters in the Sims once.  Watching Revan and Atton shout at each other was funsies for about five minutes.  Then I decided I wanted more explosions.  The Sims honestly brings out the worst in me after Civ.  God games like Sims and SimCity have taught me that I should never be a deity.  I would blow things up,  set monsters loose, and block doorways with potted plants on a whim just for my own amusement

Hehe, I made a family of drow on the sims! I only like making people though, then it gets boring, I dunno how you made yours so drell-like though... Yeah, marriage is mentioned in Liara's romance isn't it? And it kinda suits it. But I can't see your typical Shepard getting hitched with anyone, because she/he has had a hard life which they have learned to live through by staying detached to people. Also, think of the field day Al-Jihani (or whatever she's called) would have if the saviour of the galaxy married a drell (or a turian in my case!!)

I love Civ!! Have you played 5 yet? I'm considering steaming it. I do like making war on all the punier nations!! And don't even get me started on Black and White 2 Posted Image.
