Technically the diaper is all Raven. I'm just an innocent Drellicker.

The diaper is detachable. It's like a jack-in-the-box -- or a Thane-in-the-box. POP goes the... well, you get it.

And Tentura...

What have I done???

Hmm... how to get this back on track, here... ummm. When you talk to Thane to start his loyalty mission, doesn't he mention that he had arranged for a package to be given to Kolyat upon his death? Kolyat got it early, and learned about his father's past. So, do we know what was in the package? What would Thane have left for his son?

Um, Tentura, blue? Why are we using blue? Cute kid, btw. My girl always ate the orange ones.

Yeah, Raven geez...LOL

Hey, crayons are yummy. And I got at least 12 up my nose before I blacked out!

Thane said the items in the package were from his "ill spent life" or something along that note. I can't help but think he left a pistol, perhaps a long overdue letter of explanation, and the holo of Mouse. Something that triggered Kolyat's anger. I'm curious about why he went to the Citadel in the first place. Did someone tip him off about his father's package? Was he just exploring worlds outside Kahje? Or was he out there looking for his father?

I thought the package was scheduled to be delivered upon his death. I just thought he went to the citadel because of something in the letter. Maybe he did leave a holo of Mouse, and he went looking for him.

That reminds me. So, how does Kolyat react to female Shepard dating his father? Will your Shepard go out of her way to get to know Kolyat?

Hi Collider!

I think Kolyat would be angry because he is still trapped in the past. My Shep would definately go out of her way to make peace with Kolyat, hopefully having a close relationship with him. I'm sure he's a good kid, just incredibly angry. Justifyably so.

I think Kolyat would be reasonably angry that his father was a better partner to Shepard than he was to his Irikah. Unless Kolyat appears in ME3 and Thane isn't cured, my Shep probably wouldn't talk to him until after Thane's death. She would want to make peace with Kolyat--give him peace about the relationship, that is--and tell him that while Thane may have loved her, he loved Kolyat's mother too. She wouldn't necessarily go out of her way to do it or for Kolyat; she'd do it because she loves Thane, and knew he'd want his son to be at peace.

Ah... here's where he speaks about the package... at 3:16.  So Kolyat got it early, but Thane doesn't know how.  That little sneak.  Thane doesn't say what was in it.  "A relic of my ill-spent life" - I wonder.  Maybe some trinkets, memories of Irikah?  Though Thane doesn't have items displayed in his room like Kasumi does... I still see him as a sentimental person.  I just feel like he'd keep a few things.  He has his memories, but maybe something tangible would still be important to him.  I can also see him leaving Kolyat a letter, explaining his life, and apologizing for its affects on him.

@ Collider: I don't think Kolyat would be too mad about his dad dating Shep.  I mean, it's not like Thane left his mother for her.  But, on the other hand, maybe it would annoy him that Thane is so loyal to Shepard, when he let his work come between him and Irikah.  Maybe, in Kolyat's eyes, that would make it seem like he loves Shepard more.  I think most of his anger would still be directed at Thane, though.

I think my Shepard would try to stay out of the way a bit, at least until Thane and his son mend things between them.  After that, I can see her forming some kind of friendship with him.  He's important to Thane, so she would definitely care about him.

He probably will be a little upset if he sees his father being there for Shepard and protecting her when he couldn't do those things for Irikah. Shepard also didn't make the greatest first impression. She either hit him, or shot him or killed the hostage depending on what dialog you choose. Eventually I think he will come around, but he needs to work out his issues with Thane first.

Found it in the Share Your Shepard thread. Imagine Thane if he were voiced by Billy Crystal...

I was just wondering if your Shepards were more paragon or renegade. Which one do you think fits better with Thane? I can never bring myself to be completely renegade no matter how hard I try.

Paragon.

I never understood how renegade was fun. To me, Shep was just cranky and demoralizing. The only two ren. lines I can think of that got a giggle out of me were Shep's reaction to the Rayya captain if they brought Leeg on board Tali's LM and his / her renegade persuasion option in the Citadel Souvenirs shop.

*Shepard walks out into the street and starts shouting.*

"Hey, everyone! This store discriminates against the poor!"

*snerk*

Paragon was more fun to me. Subtly dangerous and alarmingly polite can be a great combination. Like shoving a gun in someone's face and then calmly thanking them for their cooperation. As for which one fits better with Thane, Shep is an influential person. Whether (s)he is paragon or renegade doesn't matter as long as Thane can trust them. And as for his personal alignment, I would consider him paragade. Neutral. He's polite, gentlemanly, but he has little regard for the law or social standards.

I suppose Kolyat would not approve of Thane's relationship with Shepard, but if Thane tried to explain the situation to him, perhaps Kolyat would understand. At least, now the two drell have someone who is there for them.

In answer to the Paragon/Renegade question, my only female Shepard is a Renegade (not purely Renegade), and I think the romance with Thane goes just fine. I can't really articulate the philosophy behind it, but I'm sure Renegade Shepard goes well with Thane. ;)

Some people say it's fun. Some of those renegade options sound so bad. I could never choose those options when I'm talking to mouse. The kid has been through enough. I can't even be mean to Conrad Verner, even though I thought it was funny to shoot him in the foot. Thane doesn't seem to really care one way or the other.

I'm a paragade!! Bring the whole team back alive!! And Raven, there are some hilarious renegade lines, search commander Shepard is such a jerk on youtube and watch it. There are some great ones. I think Thane can live with either, but not too much of a renegade Shepard.

Garrus+Thane = awesomeness implosions!!! Garrus is in the middle of the alignment scale, so he lurves paragon or renegade Shepard, even more when she is a paragade.

Gotta go to work. I'll be back!!

The first time I met Mouse, I picked the renegade interrupt. But his pitiful response made me feel bad, so I reloaded. I used the renegade persuasion on Kelham though. "I'm a Spectre. Start talking." Thane's comment afterwards is priceless.

My Shep is very justicar-ish in terms of alignment. Cold, remorseless, but fighting on the side of good and not without manners or some form of diplomacy. She gets the job done, but she'll do it preserving as many lives she can.

Unless you're a complete dick to Thane, I think he doesn't care too much. Renegade Shep goes well with Thane as much as Paragon Shep, and everything in between. And isn't that good news? He loves her no matter how much of a raving **** she is.

Cold and collected Paragade for MainShep, sarcastic and impatient Renegon for current DudeShep playthrough. I don't like playing all one alignment, so I dabble a bit.

I do agree with FieryPhoenix that Renegade is HILARIOUS. If played right. A lot of Renegade dialogue options in normal conversations are just Shep being a sarcastic ass, and it's pretty great. It fits wonderfully for my jerkass-with-a-heart-of-gold Renegon. I do agree that some major Renegade choices are pretty yuck in terms of just making me feel bad, though.

I've seen those. They're awesome and admittedly, I've chosen some of those dialogue options. Buuuut I have 1,000+ paragon points vs. about 100 renegade points anyway. :bandit:

Some of those renegade lines are funny.  At least now I know what happens if I make those choices.  Everytime I try to be more renegade I just can't  seem to do it.
