Nope. Wouldn't go back to Kaidan. Jane likes to keep her word.JECWSU wrote...
If you had an ME1 LI and you left them for someone in ME2 would you go back to the ME1 LI in DLC or ME3 if given the opportunity? Like in LotSB you can go back to Liara if you want to. It seems like a lot of people went back to Liara.

My FemShep romanced no one but Garrus, so it's ok for her. My ManShep is dumping Ash for Miranda, and I have a very hard time seeing him going back. It's not really Ash's fault per se, and I think her reaction on Horizon was understandable, but calling my ManShep a traitor to the Alliance is just not something you do with the expectation of staying on his good side. It's kind of his berzerk button.

That was one of the things that really bothered me about Horizon. That and the fact that Kaidan wouldn't even listen. The email didn't really help. I did hear that Ashleys email was a little better. Kaidan didn't really seem to be to sure if he wanted to continue a relationship.

I don't think Ash and Kaidan's respective freak-outs are unreasonable--I mean, how well would you take it if your lover resurfaces after being dead for two years and turns out to be working with known terrorists?
But I also think it's fair for Shep to call blank slate on the relationship after that, depending on the Shep. My ManShep does not take accusations of his loyalty lightly, and Horizon REALLY pissed him off. My FemShep took the whole thing much more in stride, mostly because she understood how it might look from Ash's position.
But at any rate, it seems like the maliens win. Mmmm...sexy aliens

I don't feel that my Shepard had done anything wrong. My Shepard doesn't need to be told who and what Cerberus is. She knows full well who she is working for. Hopefully this will all get resolved in ME3 or maybe some dlc, as long as they don't try to make Shepard apologize.

THIS.
I don't think Shep has anything to apologize for. My FemShep loathes Cerberus. She swallowed her pride and put herself under enormous emotional strain for the greater good of the galaxy. No way is she apologizing for that, and if someone tries to wrangle an apology out of her, I'll punch their teeth out.
Catharsis is nice. I'm all for catharsis resolving Horizon. Guilt-mongering (on either side)...eh, not so much.

Agreed 100%. That's always how I see it. It was only the most efficient means to an end for my Shep. She dropped TIM like a bad habit as soon as possible. When Kai called her a traitor and wouldn't let her explain herself she definitely wanted to sock him across his pretty little face.FieryPhoenix7 wrote...
Also, Shepard wasn't so much working for Cerberus as she was working with them. After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
The thing is, you never were working for Cerberus. You were working with them. It's even implied in certain conversations with Timmy.Kim Shepard wrote...
My MainShep is pretty much the opposite. She loves working for TIM. xD (Of course, that relationship will get complicated real fast if Evolution is going in the direction I think it's going.) She would definitely have responded a lot worse on Horizon if she could have, like bringing up the fact that the Alliance betrayed her first.
On my first playthrough as a female Shepard, I wanted to keep the base. Just as I was going to make the decision, Thane said it: "Siha, I've made a life of killing those who deserve to die. We must struggle to not become what we have." You can guess what happened next.Anyway, that's off-topic... I plan for ThaneShep to destroy the base because of what Thane says if Shepard wants to keep it, but not exactly leave Cerberus. She wouldn't turn away a potential ally, but she will stand up to them if she thinks they've gone too far.
Kim Shepard wrote...
The fact that Thane and the FemShep I originally wanted to romance him completely disagreed about that line (she doesn't hate Cerberus or the idea of keeping the base), I had to make it an important line when I created this new FemShep. She can have a hard time doing the right thing instead of the practical thing, and Thane is perfect to help out with that - rather than the first FemShep who has no interest in doing the right thing.

I know, right? xD Katherine Shepard/Cousland's love of assassins doesn't quite work on Thane. She can have Kai Leng. I was amazed by all of the little things those two have in common, but she's a Renegade, so it makes sense. The new FemShep is a Paragade. Someone with morals works better with Thane, I think. (Not that Katherine doesn't have morals... just less of them. A lot less. But she's a pretty good example of my favorite trope, Even Evil Has Standards.)
