Glad to be back and reading Thane support. Too many house fire related deaths this week, so needed mood lift, that Thane fans can provide

Gnas - totally agree with your "disclaimer" prefaced statements from 4 days ago, nicely done. So, I'm making some of my own "written opinions here:



Juliaxo - yep, don't see why Thane & Shep can't be together just because Thane is dying, Sure, it's a challenge, but imo...it just strengthens their relationship and deepens their need for each other. Shep is helping Thane atone, by letting him see the "good" inside of him, that he suppressed all these years, so hopefully, he can forgive himself by "making the universe a better place". Thane is helping Shep not only by unconditionally loving her, and utilizing his awesome assassin skills for her, but also by his faith in her leadership and mission decisions. (wow-I managed to not mention sex this entire time, wait, I just did!) And hey, what relationship isn't complex? At least they both know what the biggest problem is in their relationship, not like others that discover it later.......



Collider - If BW doesn't cure Thane, I sssoooo would love the Thane in ME3 with" ambiguous ending". Let me determine in my mind how Shep helps Thane "go out"...........



lydlyd - GREAT pic!



Sable - I'm still hopeful that BW is open minded enough to revise their original plans for Thane, based on awards/nominations, IGN feedback, other respected gaming/gamer feedback, etc that have all praised Thane's character. Killing off a character with this kind of positive recognition is cowardly, unless you really don't think your writers are up to the challenge, and BW hasn't been afraid of challenges in the past,....okay, just my "going out on a limb" opinion................

Red and black looks goooood hedgepath. I hope going on this thread will cheer you up then. I shall do some mods when I get to my next ME2 playthrough, on ME1 at the moment.

Bioware has always been very talented with writing and character development. They are without a doubt the best gaming publisher for those things, so they will be up for the challenge of course. Thane has a great character arc, can't wait to see it develop in ME3.

I'm replaying DAO & Fallout3. Just finished playing Singulairity. Planning on starting NV this week-end. My point, I miss ME2 & Thane, even with Zev (LI was Alistair 1st playthrough). Yep, guess it's official, I'm addicted to ME2. I mean, THANE........Can't believe I'm thinking about modding another female Shep ( caramel haired, golden eyed or raven haired, silver eyed) to play the 17th ME2, because I miss the Thane romance. AND, all while I'm still doing real world things, like working and writing......Ahhhhh, there's always the hope of winning some of the millions in the lottery tonight.

I do think that Obsidian has more...interesting characters?  Colorful characters?  Messed up characters?  No matter how much I adore BioWare's characters, they are a little stock.  They come off brilliant in the execution.  Obsidian's characters are people I find utterly fascinating in conception--Gann-of-Dreams, Bishop, Atton Rand, etc. Depending on the game their execution can suffer, but I think for novelty, Obsidian's a bit stronger.

Basically, I want BioWare and Obsidian to team up again for a game like they did back when most of Obsidian was still Black Isle.  The result?  Baldur's Gate.  Only my favorite game series FOR EVER.

And woohoo thanks for the litho Jelly!  Oh gawd look at those thighs! *drool* As much as I LOVE this image of THane though, something didn't sit quite well with me - his facial expression.  It's very emotional. I always had this notion that Thane, being the calm and collected warrior-monk type, would not show emotions at all in the battlefield.  Regardless, I love this litho and thanks again for sharing this Jelly!

If Thane heard my ManShep singing, he would probably crack up.  Jamie Shepard is a TERRIBLE singer.  Then Thane could get back at Jamie for all the crap Jamie gives him.

Thane:  Your...rendition of "Eye of the Tiger" is quite popular on the extranet, Shepard.

Thane looks good in black and red. If I could use mods, that would be one of them. MainShep's armor has a lot of red, and Garrus' loyalty armor has red around the collar, so they'd all match.

I thought his mouth looked off too, but wasn't sure why. Now I know. But I agree, it's an awesome litho. They all are.

I think at first he'd be surprised, and then either find it impressive or hilarious, depending on the Shepard. I'm not sure if my ThaneShep sould have singing ability or not. Maybe she'll be the type who only thinks she can sing.
