I have Shepards who are great singers, MainShep and Earthborn Ruthless in particular. It was a matter of, "Is this Shepard the type of character who would know how to sing?" And the answer was, "She's the type of character who can't sing, but does. Same with dancing." xD Now I cam imagine her bringing Thane to Dark Star and embarrassing him.

This reminds me of those posts from several days back about Thane trying to deal with drunk Shepard. xD Poor guy. My ThaneShep would probably have one or two glasses of that green stuff at Dark Star and then shoot off some fireworks. Bad combination. She'd hit the Normandy, I just know it.

I would just like to say that there are no fireworks present at my house that I know of, and all the small children have gone back to their homes.  That's a good thing

Reaper ship: *explodes in pretty colors*
Garrus: Impressive.
Normandy: *is hit with the debris of a close-range blast on a Reaper ship*
Shepard: Oh, shoot. o_o;
Thane: *facepalm*

See, I knew she'd hit the Normandy.

The only bawl-worthy aspect of Lair was Thane's letter, I think. Especially if you read it for the first time 'cause it comes completely unexpected. One minute you're reading all your crewmates' dossiers peacefully, the next minute your boyfriend / husband / BFF / whatever walks into the room to see you sobbing helplessly over your keyboard.



And then they walk away slowly.

Apparently he wrote a letter to the mission of the Omega-4.   It appears in the file only after the mission.

To a question about singing. I think Sheppard should be a talented singer, to her sing like him. Do lizards from the planet Earth in the majority of good hearing.

I have a big request to you, dear. Please write verbatim what Mordin says when he gives "advice". If you can, then play the dialogue. Pleeeeaaas! *puppy eyes*

I have read that letter many times myself. I didn't cry, but it almost made me cry.



Did he write the letter before the suicide mission, and do you still get it if you tell him it's just nerves when he comes to Shepards cabin?

Yes, the letter is written prior to the SM because the letter is still there if Thane dies during the SM. So I will assume it's also there if she turns him down in her quarters. It doesn't affect the romance if she does, you just miss out on one of the more touchingly passionate scenes in the game.

I've seen a lot of people talk about wanting to find a cure for Thane and bringing him back for Mass Effect 3. I like the idea of bringing him back, but I don't like the idea of curing him as much. Don't get me wrong, other than Zaeed he's my favorite characte, but having him survive is too cliche in my opinion.



Part of what makes Thane so ridiculously cool is that he's trying to atone for his past discretions before he dies. He "wants to make the universe a little brighter" as he said. That's a very noble cause. To find a cure for him would almost defeat the purpose of the cause, I believe. I do want him to come back for Mass Effect 3, however. I don't want the last time I see him being after beating Mass Effect 2. Preferrably though, I'd like to be able to say goodbye. Maybe at the end of the series if the Reapers are defeated (part of me still thinks they might win out), then the Normandy drops him off on a planet somewhere in the Traverse where he and Kolyat can spend the last of his time in seclusion. It would be a proper send-off.



However, if they made the mission for finding his cure extremely difficult and lengthy I would be on board for that. Maybe Mordin or his assistant from Omega discovers a breakthrough but needs certain items in order to make it work. Maybe the items would be incredibly difficult to find and would require their own side quests. I just don't like the idea of "boom, he's cured!"



Admittedly, I would be pretty disappointed if Thane is dead by the time the third game starts. I love Thane, and his character is amazing. However, I trust Bioware to do right by the gamers. Whatever they do, it'll more than likely make sense and be in our best interest. Maybe one of the DLC's that covers the story arch could cover Thane and his sickness? My only request is that I get a chance to say goodbye, if he does indeed have to die.

Thane and Miranda are on 100% lock on my squad. I don't take anyone else. Do you guys do that?

In ME1, my "locked in" team was Garrus and Wrex. In later ME1 playthroughs and ME2 playthroughs, I switch it up more, but certain Shepards have squadmates that they always take with them. The FemShep who romances Thane will bring him everywhere after he's recruited. I do the same thing for all the Shepards who romance someone.

I will switch it up sometimes. Most of the time it's Garrus and Thane. In ME1 I took Wrex and Garrus with me  a lot too Kim.

Those two were my favorite ME1 squadmates, by far. It was harder to take just two of them along in ME2 though. Garrus was always there, but the other squadmate alternated between Grunt (until I recruited the second bunch), Tali and Thane. I brought Thane with me a lot during the suicide mission when Garrus was off leading a team.
