I don't think, at least from my Shep's perspective, that she would try to get him to lighten up. She has enough of her own dark/crude sense of humor that she doesn't need someone else's funny bone. When Thane told Mouse that he could "change his pants in a moment" I wish there was an option where I could have looked skeptically at Mouse and went, "Oh my God. He made a funny."

That said, charming Thane into a friendly game of poker isn't out of the question.

I agree with this. I don't really want any new ones. We have enough already. I don't understand why they would want to cater to people who didn't bother playing either game.  Hopefully like you said it won't be at the expense of the ones we already have.

Skydiving off the rooftops of Illium? Sounds awesome! Although, I'd be worried about getting squished by incoming traffic during the fall. Reminds me how I kept bumping into everything during the chase scene in LotSB. Thane came along for the ride and I suspect he will not be letting my Shep drive him anywhere anytime soon.

As for getting him to lighten up, I think my mainShep, Ava, would try to get him to socialize and make some great memories along the way. A double date with Feron and Liara at the Dark Star, museums and sight-seeing with Kasumi, some meditations with Samara, fighting through antique shops with Garrus. It'd be great.

And maybe when the Reaper threat is taken care of they can finally enjoy that desert vacation they talked about. Relaxation at last. Lots of sun, sand and shirtless Thane. Yay!

Shepard is... well, let's just say she's satisfied. For the children's sake. Wherever they may be.

Thane came along for my chase scene, too. (Why do I feel that deserves a 'giggity'?) I had a blast. Especially when Liara made that paranoid comment, "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"

I wondered what comment Thane would have made.

"Do all human women drive like this?"

I totally road raged at Tela, too. "OH, NO YOU DI'NT JUST SHOOT THAT MINE AT ME, ****."

Ha. You and me both. I crashed into an incoming truck the first time! And I hated those mines Tela kept tossing out but the chase was so fun!

It was sad there was no new squad banter. I would have loved to hear what Thane had to say about Shep's driving skills (or lack thereof). Plus, the Shadow Broker is the one who gave the Batarians the info that led them to Irikah. It would have been interesting to hear what he would have said to the Shadow Broker, if given the chance.

I'm excited for the next DLC because there's a better chance for squad banter since they already have the voice actors around for ME3. That's my hope, anyway.

Oh wow.  That completely slipped my mind.  I'm sure Thane knows how the Broker operates--highest bidder, no questions asked--but that couldn't have been an easy thing to see.

Especially when the SB (or SOB, in this case) said, "I'll give Mr. Krios' son my regards." I was shocked by Thane's continued stoicism. I almost expected him to go into berserker mode and rip the SB's heart out.

But nope. Thane's a champ.

No you are not the ony one. That made absolutly no sense to me. Why they have Shepard protecting Liara over the person that she loves is silly. Then all Shepard does is just look at him lying there. It would have been nice to see Shepard run over to Thane. She ran over to him a lot faster during the suicide mission. I guess this is there way of showing us just how important Liara is suppose to be.

Lair centered on Liara and her story, not on our squadmates. While I wouldn't have minded a chance to make sure if the squadmate I brought was okay, I understand why they didn't do it. It just wasn't about them.

I kind of chuckled at the end though when I saw Thane and Feron walking out of the room together. What would they be thinking, I wonder? "Them ****es be crazy"?

I do understand what your saying.  Them letting Shepard protect her LI wouldn't have changed anything. The entire dlc is still about Liara catching the Shadow Broker. Maybe it would have been better if Shepard didn't grab anyone. I still enjoyed LotSB, but this is one tiny thing that bothered me.

But what if Shepard hadn't brought along his/her LI? They're not going to make a separate scene where Shepard runs to their LI since the key focus was Liara anyway. More than that, some people romanced Liara. It makes sense that they would make sure she was okay.

I know not everyone's Shep has a reason to do that. Mine did. She loved Liara at one point in her life and still does, to an extent. It made sense for her to protect her former LI and an old friend.

Having Shep run to Thane would have been sweet, but sadly at the same time, I can't expect a DLC to cater to Shepard and their LI unless that is what the DLC is meant to focus on. For example, if they made DLC that centers on Thane -- then yes, I fully expect their relationship to be explored if he was pursued as an LI. Just like LotSB was with Liara.

That's why I said it might have been better for Shepard not to grab anyone. I know for the Shepard that I have that romanced her it is understandable that he would do that, but for the ones that didn't it seems a bit odd. The fact that Shepard didn't run over to Thane doesn't bother me because she still does go over to him. Its when Shepard grabs Liara to get her out of the way that bothers me. If Thane was way on the other side of the room I wouldn't have a problem because Liara is closer, but Thane wasn't that far from what I remember, and  my Shepard should have gone for him not Liara. Like you said this was her dlc so the was solely on her.

At least we got that letter from Thane.

I can't remember. We were talking about the conditions of getting the letter to show up. I think someone established that if you reject Thane before hitting the Omega 4 relay you don't get it, but what if you continue your romance with Liara when you've already romanced Thane? Or does that not count? I don't remember when Liara gives you access to the dossiers -- before or after having a drink with her.

It kinda worries me a bit to be honest. I hope its not a goodbye forever kinda thing.
Though the letter was very sweet and sad so I am glad we got it.But why only Thane

I remember getting access to the dossiers before having a drink with her. I don't know how anyone can read that letter cheat on Thane. If you sleep with Liara and have an ME2 LI that is what I would consider cheating.

*shrug*  I didn't romance Liara, had Garrus with me as my LI the first time I did LoTSB, and I was mostly ok with it.  It's pretty obvious that Liara's the one the Broker's gunning for, and she's the one who needs more of Shep's proactive protection during LoTSB.  Also, I understand that by the end of LoTSB Liara's taken about twenty zillion new levels in badass and I LOVE that, but it doesn't keep my Shep from being her scarily overprotective big sister figure.  At least that's now I rationalized it.

I can't rationalize Shep catching Grunt during the suicide mission, though.  Enhancements or not, that right there is a case of physics fail 

As for Thane's letter, I'ma be optimistic and say that the reason it turned up in the dossiers was because Thane's the only LI who would do something like that.  I love Garrus, but I honestly can't see him writing Shep a love letter, LOL.  Though it'd be hilarious if he tried.  Same goes for the other LIs.

I would never cheat on Thane. Not even for Liara. I only asked because I was curious. You don't really get to confess to your current LI that you "embraced eternity" with your old flame. Can you imagine Thane's reaction if you did? Ouch.
