Garrus probably wouldn't write a letter. I don't know what he would do for Shepard though.

I think Garrus would be all sweet awkwardness, wheras Thane is confident in his letter. Both would be wonderful, Thane a little more so, but that's my bias.
I agree. They would both do something wonderful for Shepard.
Thane is confident in his letter. I wonder would he feel a little akward if he knew that Shpard knew that he loved her.

It makes more sense that Shep would keep it to herself.

Which is why I said it was understandable. I'm sure Shepard's not the kind of woman who would go all out about something like that.magelet wrote...
I think it's better that there wasn't an actual conversation about it. It doesn't seem like the sort of thing you would talk about like "Oh hey, I read that letter that I was supposed to get when you're dead..."

I'm not all gooey and lovey for Thane, but to me, he is one AMAZING character. First play-through I did on ME2 and I met Thane I took him everywhere.. I don't romance him, but I sure hope he lives for ME3! HELPING THE HUMAN RACE ALONG SIDE MYSELF!
Are you playing Man!Shep? I mostly play Fem!Shep and they are "gooey and lovey" for Thane. lol But I do have one Man!Shep playthrough and he considers Thane to be a valued friend. I thoroughly agree that Thane is an amazing character and all my Sheps appreciate his awesomeness.

I'm back, Thaniacs. For better, or worse. Probably worse...
Wait... are you just picking hair colors that are similar to your own - is that what you mean by realistic? A blonde can be a kick-ass, smart, protagonist. As a blonde myself, I like to see us be more than just busty bimbos in video games. Plus, Thane likes my blonde Sheps juuuuust fine.JECWSU wrote...

She has to look good for Thane.

Garrus
Oh, and I would really like to discuss the letter with Thane in ME3. I don't think my Shep would be ashamed for having read it - it's not like she was snooping through his personal terminal. She just ran across it in the SB's files. I think it would be difficult for her to pretend like she never read it. She doesn't have time for drama in their relationship while saving the universe and whatnot... she'd just discuss it with him, get it off her chest.

You know, it wasn't until recently that I noticed I have just about zero heroic blonde characters, and fewer blonde characters in RPGs than anything else. My characters tend to be dark-haired or redheads (dark because that's what I've got, redheads because I think red hair looks AWESOME). My few blonde characters tend toward...evil
I found making an attractive ManShep who isn't the default a lot harder than making an attractive FemShep. I fussed over how Jamie looks for HOURS.

I have only one man Shep, and he romanced Liara. I just cant bring myself to romance Tali. It just seems wrong somehow.
So here's me, I loved getting into character with my female Shepard. I am a woman, I like men, and I loved Thane. BUT.. As a woman, I really enjoyed watching male Shep running around, talking... Yeah, easy on the eyes. I still prefer playing a female but playing a male had it's perks too.
ROLF.
After playing as maleShep the first time I finally understood ( to the point of sympathizing ) why so many males play females in 3rd person view games
My ThaneShep regrets ( a little ) reading such info about his squadmates. But I wonder how it will be addressed in ME3 since, even if an important one, LotSB is a DLC... so not everyone may have it...
I would really like to see it in ME3, specially Garrus family stuff, I mean, of all squadmates/LI's I think he is the one we have less personal info about...

Blonde is realistic. I was just saying I don't really make my Shepards blone. No I'm not a blonde so I do use colors that are close to my own. I just like giving them darker hair. I also don't think blonde goes with some of the skin tones I use. Nothing against blondes. Yes Thane loves blondes, red heads, and brunettes.

Rock on, girl! Of all the games to pick to play a saint - I bet she had a dark, inner desire to set off the nuke in Megaton!! Thane would not have approved of that blondy. I loved playing naughty in that game. I am much better behaved in New Vegas, for some reason. Well, on the average, at least. I did murder Mr. Fantastic in cold blood... for his sunglasses. I wanted a pair like Boone's, dammit! *evil laughter....*
I agree TOTALLY with you about ManShep - he is so insanely difficult to make attractive. I don't know why, but he always ends up looking like an ogre for me.

Such an interesting point. I really wish Bioware would give us a funny conversation with him about the differences in anatomy. (There are a *couple* other items of anatomy that I wonder if he has any curiosity about, Lol!) There was kind of a little funny moment with Garrus - waists and fringe.abnocte wrote...

Ha, so, Thane might be particularly interested in blondes, right? Since everyone else might look the same to him!? Score! J/k... or maybe he'd find Chakwas' grey hair appealing... nooo

Yeah, I guess maybe that's what I should do, too. I just keep thinking I can make a decent ManShep, since I can create FemSheps... guess it just wasn't meant to be!FieryPhoenix7 wrote...
