Thane is a really cool character, and I enjoyed interacting with him. But I think it would be better if he doesn't return in ME 3. Or actually if he does, but maybe just in a flashback or just a few scenes early on. I would be fine with him dying, but being supremely at peace with everything by then.

The thing about that is, while I don't mind the all too large possibility that he will die in ME3, it would be a rip-off to invest in a romance that doesn't have quite the dazzling ending it seems to promise for ME3. BioWare will do what it must, but as I would think all the ME2 love interests will be returning, since that is implied in the game, it's only fair Thane returns as well, at least to say goodbye.

As a Thanemancer, I want closure, damn it.

I know it wasn't intentional. I don't think I said it was. I do know some people take serious issue with that. They don't bother to look at the reasons why he did it or at the fact that he is trying to make things right with his son.

Oh, no, no. I was more directing that at the people who are mad at Thane for abandoning his family, wherever they are. Not you, lol. I agree some people just don't explore the reasons behind a character's first impressions.

I love the alternate outfit, but I still can't get use to those sunglasses. I wish there was a way to remove them.

There probably is through tedious hacking/altering of your file. I hate the sunglasses, too. Thane's eyes are the most expressive part of his body -- who would cover them up? And his chest. HIS CHEST IS COVERED!

I love his eyes too. They should never be covered up, and for medical reasons his chest shouldn't be covered up either.

I agree that Thane's eyes should never be covered. They're so pretty and soulful. <3


He looks great in the red and black outfit though. I just wish you could remove the sunglasses.

Exactly! For those of us who romanced Thane, he's a big part of our game. My Shep  took him everywhere once she recruited him. She pursued the romance and cares a great deal about him so it would be a big deal if he's just suddenly not there in ME3. It's the end of the trilogy and I think all love interests Bioware have established should get the chance to stick with Shep and see things through to the end.

Thane is confident in his letter. I wonder would he feel a little akward if he knew that Shpard knew that he loved her.

I am pretty sure that he already knows that Shepard is in love with him. Im pretty sure that ending romance scene before the suicide mission with Thane was not a one night stand sort of thing....I would say they are both deeply in love with one another and they both know it

But oh, what if you break up with him after the Collector mission? That would suck. "Yeah, Thane, now that I'm sure I won't die, uh, we should talk."

I completely agree.....We need more heated romance between her and Thane. Sometimes just guessing or assuming what they feel for each other is just not enough......I want to hear them say that they love each other and stuff like that.....I don't like filling in the blanks
