"well here I am" Yeah, I love that line. I'm like "yes you are, you big hunk of yummy Drell. gimme some sugar"!
If only they had given us that option. I guess it would have been to soon.

Shepard: I know. This is my fourth playthrough. You and I are going to make love in the near future.
Thane: ...I... I don't even know you.
Shepard: Oh, you will. Right after your kid tries to kill someone.
Thane: What?
Shepard: What?

Shep: "Yes - yes, you are... hmm, wasn't there a bar back there at the spaceport?" *hooks arm around him and waves off teammates* "Garrus, Miri... go on, just do... whatever it is you do..."

Argh so much I've missed! I love my ManShep. I spent some time refining his looks and I got to say that he's one good-looking mofo despite not having Sheploo's texture. Then again, I'm probably biased.
As much as I'd love for Thane to get all romantic and sweep my FemShep off her feet , I don't know, I don't think it's in his personality to say the L word outright. It's one thing to write "I love you" in a letter, but another thing to say it in person (I should know lol). As Keythe mentioned in that epic interview: "He’s a deep thinker and a deep feeler, but not overtly. It’s hard to play that duality vocally-- to maintain a stiff upper lip despite the fact that you are scared to death or madly in love or furiously angry." Thane would probably say it in other way I guess.
I LOVE Thane's alternate outfit, unf so deadly sexy. It did make me wonder if that was the sort of outfit he would wear while he was still in the service of the hanar. What do you think?

I see alot of people posting pictures on these forums from deviantart. Do you alwyas ask permission of the creator or do just add their name. Just wondering here
From an artist's perspective I truly don't mind it when people post my work in other places. (Then again it was always my belief that an artwork is meant to be seen by many and not kept at some private gallery, but I digress.) They don't need my permission to do so as long as they credit me, besides I always have mine watermarked;) The only time I'd rip you to pieces is if you use my work as stock or claim it as yours. This is just my opinion though, I know several artists who are so protective of their work they absolutely do not like it if you post it anywhere, period. When in doubt, the best thing to do is ask them.
Whew sorry for the long post!

I admit there is a freedom to playing a renegade. Essentially you just don't have to give a crap as much as a paragon. Ahh, to be bad. Anywho...
I try, try to remember to credit the artist when I post a picture from deviantart. I'm not always that worried since most of them, yes, do watermark their pieces, and of course whenever someone makes the mistake of thinking I'm the artist (rare but it happens) I quickly correct them.
Other than that, I loosely maintain "rule of the internet": If it's on the internet, it will be shared.

I'm basically saying Thane's first appearance scene is awesomely well done. Especially when the sunlight is reflected on him while he's praying and when he starts talking about sins and atonement. It immediately gives you the feeling that he's a deeply spiritual assassin who has come to realize that he faces a dark path, yet there is still lots of good in him.

Juliaxo - I wouldn't mind having no LIs in ME3. Focus on saving the world, tying up loose ends (like that SOB batarian) and walking into the sunset with Thane.
raven - you said "Charming Thane into a friendly game of poker isn't out of the question". Yep, bet he'd be interested in learnin' the rules of strip poker. NOW, that's a real friendly game I'd enjoy playin with him *glazed eyes"
Sable - I didn't feel that Liara needed protecetion in LoSB - she even admits she's tougher now, and, Shep had to remind her, "I'm fine by the way, thanks for asking"...so, I would have run to protect my fallen squadmate, even if it wasn't Thane (it was, you know I took Thane). By that time in the plot, my Shep knew Liara was a lot less naive, more "hardened" (as they say in DAO), able to hold her ownAND had a kick ass shield, so I would have defended my squadmate first...just my opinion
One thing I think Thane is helping Shep realize.....expressing her "softer" emotions AND how to recognize the :good" things in life. I think she is able to verbalize her "softer" emotions now (everyone knew when she was pissed or why she gave the orders that she did). So, she CAN tell Thane she loves him. She may even be able to talk with Tali & Garrus about what it means to have them as friends, and what they mean to her, in case they all die, or go their separate ways in ME3.
Shep: So Garrus, did I ever tell you how lucky I am to have you with me in all this?
Garrus: Ummmm, has Thane been giving you "reflectons on life" lessons again?
Shep: I just wanted you to know that I couldn't do this without you, old friend.
Garrus: Look - I chose to walk into hell with you, knowing what I was getting into, and I'm staying until it's finished.
Shep: It's good to know I can count on you.
Garrus: ^sighs^ - I really need to have a talk with Thane about the consequences his life lessons are having on you. You were never like this with my calibration lessons.
Shep: ^smirks^ - You're right Garrus, I think I'll go find Thane and show him some calibrating
Garrus: ^facepalm^

Maybe its me but I think Thane taught Shepard a thing or two about "calibrating."

Hmm...
Signs that you play too much Mass effect:
1. When you quote mass effect lines without reliasing it until you hear Brandon Keener's voice saying it...
You know, since ME2, 'calibrating' has officially become my favourite innuendo.
(Hoping that someone will get the scrubs reference.)
Raven is craaazy!

Talking to a friend the other day on the bus.
Tasha: So, who was your favourite character of Mass effect?
Friend: Garrus of course.
Tasha: *Launches herself over the bus seat, much to the alarm of several passengers to give this friend a rugby tackle hug*
Friend: I'm guessing he's your favourite too.
And this mate was a guy! Garrus love is everywhere. It is a shame Thane doesn't have the same level of appreciation. He has that much character development that he fully deserves it...
