Yikes. o_o If Thane had a disappointing end in ME3... I would just be a little disappointed, probably discuss the disappointment and what they could have done differently, and then move on.

Well, sure, that's the mature thing to do. But my hatred keeps me warm.

We'll drink the red wine first and leave the white wines to be smashed upon the heads of our enemies. And but of course, the cats are clawed. I would never declaw them and rob them of the pleasure of brutally maiming people - what do you think I am, cruel?

Yeah, let's do that. White wine gives me an immediate headache.

No raven, I absolutely do not think you are cruel. Was just checking...hope they've had their shots, wouldn't want the cats to get sick.

I am soooo kidding. really...gosh.

Preserve the blush wines. I need them for my baths and blocking out Christmas carols.

Shots... shots? Excellent idea. We should give the cats guns and then throw them at people. Thane would be proud, yes he would!

Oh, yeah, like "cats and dogs"! Ninja kitties!

of course I will save the blush. White is only good for cooking, IMHO

...and I can imagine that's what Thane's fangirls will be doing to BioWare writers if Thane receives a disappointing end.

What in the world did that kid do. Posted Image

I do agree. I will be more than angry if Thane get a bad ending.

I'm tempted to say it's a fake and that the backpacks are empty, 'cause I cannot fathom it being real, but that might just be my brain trying to make my soul feel better.

I watched it a few times, well okay several times, I don't know raven. The one that hits his little face didn't look empty. Ouch! It might be a purposely made video though.

Well, I've got some projectiles ready to launch, just in case. :D But hopefully we won't need to use them!

Speaking of ME3, is anyone doing any experimental playthroughs to prepare? I've already finished my playthrough with my mainShep who romanced Thane, everyone survived the SM, destroyed the base, etc. That's the one I'll be importing first. But I also have a playthrough planned in which only Thane and Garrus survive, just to see what happens. I know at least two squaddies need to survive for Shepard to live. It might be interesting (and challenging) if you import a save in which only two squadmates make it through. Usually, I make sure everyone survives so this will be something a little different for me.

I've got a few playthroughs that I'm keen on trying. One MaleShep who was faithful to Ash, one GarrusShep and a ThaneShep, well okay, a lot of the last one. I think the only one I ever got killed was Mordin, and I fixed that straight away. It might just be me, but I figure safety in numbers when it comes to the reapers. :)

What's interesting is it's harder to kill off particular squaddies than it is to keep them alive.

I'm waiting for the next DLC before I start a new playthrough. I intend at least two more where my Shep stays loyal to Liara and another where I take Thane to the final boss (as I've never done it before). For now I'm giving a ME2 a break so I don't burn myself out like I did with DAO.

My friend and I have been debating about the suicide mission. He feels it's fitting that some characters die, such as Mordin and Zaeed, as it cements their redemption, whereas I feel their pursuit of redemption is far from over and may have a much better impact in ME3 if they live. I want to see what happens to Mordin now that I've convinced himself to preserve the data for the genophage cure. And I want to see if the DLC companions will return in ME3.

Well, the playthrough I have planned is more experimental, we'll see if I can go through with it. I always end up feeling bad if a squadmate dies. In my very first  playthrough I didn't know what I was doing and Jack, Legion, and Grunt died. I had to reload and figure out what I did wrong. I'm too much of a softie. :/

I always take Thane to the final boss. On my first playthrough, he was the one who fell from the platform after the human Reaper was destroyed and I flipped because I thought he was going to die. lol But Shepard caught him and he was fine.

I agree with you. I like having everyone survive because it's possible there's still more to explore with those characters, assuming they all come back, and I don't want to miss out on any content.

As for Mordin, I always end up telling him to hold onto the data because it's "better to have it and not need it'".

For a moment there I almost thought you said "As for Mordin, I always end up telling him to hold the line" :D

But yeah, I agree. I also feel there's something empowering about everyone around you telling you that you and everyone else are going to die, that it's a suicide mission, and yet with superior teamwork you all make it out of there alive. It just feels... good. I want moar.

I have decided to start a wholly new Shepard from ME1, since my only female Shepard is a Renegade. I'm going to have her background info to be Colonist and Ruthless; the former because none of my current characters has it, and the latter also for the same reason but more because I want this Shepard to be fully Paragon with such a horrible history, In other words, she's going to be an atoner. Quite the love interest for Thane. More importantly, I now know better than to romance anyone in ME1, so I'm finally going to romance Thane without feeling guilty for ditching Kaidan.

In my Sheploo playthrough I was traying to get some squadies killed, but in the end only Jacob died...

My first playthrough wasn't that bad, I lost all my crew but Dr.Chakwas,  "temporaly" lost Garrus and learned to never follow Miranda's advice, then I took him to the human reaper and he almost fell off the plataform! *facepalm*

Mordin died randomly at the end, but I didn't reload so we will see if it affects something important *cough*genophage*cough*

Here is an algorithm for having Kasumi and Thane as the only two surviving squadmates (along with Shepard, of course):

> LINK

I'm willing to bet Pacifien knows how to do it for all 132 possible combinations.

@Fiery People able to play a game in a way that lets them learn all its tricks as if they were the developers never cease to amaze me!

I did follow the guide a little to get Jacob killed, I also wanted to kill Miranda but I wasn't sure it was a smart idea to take the two for the final battle...

@Gnas, you mean Garrus? ( English is not my native language, not sure I made myself clear before o_o? )

Garrus got killed by the swarm because I choose Miranda as the biotic. I remember thinking: "Well I did the biotic upgrade, may be it also applies to her....", how naive I was.... >_<

thane is really one of my favorites along with garrus. my first play through it was hard to pick between him and garrus for the li, but i ended up picking thane and liked him even more, so i hope they find a cure for the kepral's syndrome (or if he could just wade in the water and get cured like that one message you get said). anyway i can't wait for me3, i'm already saving up to get the collector's edition.

LOL Poor Garrus but when you lost Thane in that playthrough, did he get squished, blown up in the Normandy?

I've watched the Thane death scenes on youtube. I just couldn't do it. Or Garrus, for that matter. Some of the crew *cough*jacob*cough* well, I could actually live without.

There is no shame in letting Jacob come to an ending. That was bad. Through all my play throughs I have not lost my crew. I just can't. I would feel awful. I feel awful thinking about it!

some day, SOME day, I may have to make a Femshep for Jacob, I really need to see that line. Wait! i could probably find it on youtube, ae?

I only lost Mordin the one time and didn't even know it until the end of the game. I was not amused. It never happened again. I felt awful!
