Have you read "Circle of One" by Eric James Fullilove? In the middle of book scientist van Meer tells about the development of "genes programming". There, everything is detailed, and the method resembles the action Eupulmos Device. There's method is painted on 4 pages! (About not treatable bacteria and viruses, and methods of dealing with them). He would be in ME universe!

I'm sorry, I know there was an interesting idea in the post, but when I saw "van Meer" my mind jumped to Sheploo, and now the only thing I can think of is Sheploo the scientist talking like Mordin

i spent the last 7 nights staying up late to learn to use our xbox360 and figure things out... i even bought mass effect 1 yesterday, even though thane isn't there. figured i'd start over with a strong character from there then do mass effect 2 all over again, with thane ofcourse... my airsoft team is now wondering why i haven't been showing up for games. thane is the reason.
if thane isn't in mass effect 3, my video game nights are over. i love him so much! that voice and that stance! be still my heart! please keep him alive in mass effect 3!!! <3<3<3

I think it does!
Yes. It fits well with Thane and Kolyat, maybe Shepard.

I'm glad you enjoyed the screenies. I actually managed to get one of the full-sized Thane lithographs. I've got it stored in a safe place until I can get it framed.
Lucky! I waited too long to order mine and missed my chance. I didn't expect it to sell out so fast! I've ordered the mini litho so at least I'll have one version of it. I plan to hang it right by my desk.

*sisfist* I feel the same way about Thane! And it's funny because I wasn't much of a "game' person either. I got into them after watching my boyfriend play Fallout 3. That game made me curious to try out playing but it wasn't until Mass Effect and Thane specifically that obsession set in. I pretty much took over the xbox but it's okay because my boyfriend plays mostly on the PC, anyway.
I'm maintaining a positive outlook concerning Thane in ME3. I feel like he has to be in it because Bioware wouldn't create such an amazing character and make him a love interest just to drop him after one game in what is supposed to be a trilogy. Every character has supporters and detractors but I think Thane was pretty well received, overall. Also, assuming he survived the SM, his story isn't finished and there are still things they could do with him. He could be Shepard's liason with the Hanar and help convince them to hand over any Prothean technology or artifact they might have discovered that could be used to help fight the Reapers.
Not to mention, there's the matter of getting him cured which I fervently hope is an option that players can pursue if they choose to.

Although Thane does have this effect on the ladies. If you notice, guys don't often post here (apart from fiery, who is brave enough to post amidst all the girlies.) And in polls, it seems his popularity is with the girlies. Must be the leather jacket...

I'm sort of in the same boat. I got into BioWare games after KOTOR, but then I went all the way back to the Baldur's Gate games and played every single BioWare RPG.
And I'm completely unsurprised, since Thane was specifically designed to appeal to women. What makes me scratch my head more is how Garrus ended up with so many fangirls

Well, they succeeded with Thane appealing to the ladies
Garrus' fanbase includes everyone. But there are many reasons I love that guy. But this is a Thane thread, and on the Garrus thread we are currently discussing our hatred for Lady Isolde
Although, Thane has a human body, whereas Garrus doesn't. Is there a massive reliable poll for femshep LI's? I am genuinely uncertain of who would win, Thane, Liara or Garrus. (Sorry Jacob, your clipped responses and the priiiiize simply doesn't cut it.)

@Tasha, sometimes I think the reason Thane doesn't appeal to guys as much is because he threatens their whole idea of masculinity, also they are envious because no even in ten lifetimes they are going to be as awesome.... XDD
( I'm joking.......mostly XP )

That is so exciting! Thane is amazing! I really think that Thane will live in ME3. There has to be that option otherwise a lot of people are going to be very upset. I can't wait for ME3 and more of Thane!
Indeed! I'll take this as a half-proof that we'll be able to cure him ;-)
Otherwise, they know that at least 96 fans will go to Canada and lay waste to their HQ!

I'll take it as 95%! Why promoting this so actively and officially if the cure isn't planned for ME3, hmm?

Thane's a sniper, too. Hmm, I see the connection there. Snipers are indeed sexy. <3
I think the main reason some people dismiss Thane and assume he'll be dead is because of the Kepral's. Lots of people seem to get hung up on the fact that he's sick. I get so tired of hearing that Kepral's defines him. It doesn't.

Agreed! I don't want to get my hopes up but the fact that they're hyping it really makes me think they have a cure planned in ME3. Thank you so much for putting it together and getting so many people involved, Hanar! It's great that Bioware can be made aware that Thane is appreciated by the fanbase and that we want a cure for him.
