First post ever on forums, but felt compelled to throw my voice in here, too!  How could you not want to find a cure for Thane?  Or at least some sort of treatment to slow/stop the progress of the disease until the cure is found??  I am so glad I am not the only one who finds his character so compelling and lovable.  My husband was picking on me mercilessly for swooning over Thane until he began his playthrough… and now he admits that even a dude cannot deny the bromance.  He's not just your crew, he's your friend (and LI, if you're like me!).

Oh, and I love some of you previous posters for hoping for a "Thane Cure DLC"... I had been wishing for that myself.  I would pay $$ out the nose to ensure that my green LI will be by my side in ME3!

Thanks for linking to the FemShep launch trailer, too.  That vid is just too perfect.  I remember in my very first ME2 playthrough, Thane was the one to start sliding off the platform just like in the vid, and I literally screamed OMG NO!  I think my heart jumped right out of my chest!

Also, a belated thanks to all those who created fan art... it is all such great work.  I nearly died laughing when I saw Missi Moonshine's gif highlighting the oh-so "smexy zipper!"  *sigh*  It is like you were reading my mind!!  So nice to read all of the post from like-minded people.

 I really enjoyed his character, and he proceeded to gain a spot in my squad for the rest of the game. 

However I'm not sure how this syndrome will affect his role in ME3. Perhaps he'll provide a much needed sacrifice to stop the Reapers?
