Yeah those trolls can yakyakyak all they want but all their grumbles and criticisms pale in comparison to the action made by the group of Thane fans who came together and actually did something for their favourite character.

I couldn't agree more.

Oddly, I'm reminded of a cute and amusing Thane/Shep story I read called "How Fornax Changed my Life". There was a running gag in which poor Shep was trying to check out some Drell action in Fornax but kept getting interrupted by people, including Thane himself at one point. Hilarity ensued.

I love that fic! I have asked the writer to update it a few times. Not sure where they went. Very sad really, because it was just starting to heat up.

I know! I still check back periodically to see if it's updated. Hopefully, one day the writer will continue it.

Anyone know if Keythe (Thane's VA) mentioned anything about it?

He sure did!
I linked the final version to him and he had this to say:

Keythe Farley is Thane Krios: That is simply fantastic! I love it!

Keythe! Thanks for posting this, Hanar. It's so great that he saw it!

Well, I sent Kiwibliss (on fanfic) a pm last night, so here's to hoping she gets it. Having said that, there *is* some very wonderful nosebleed material on the website. I'm addicted to fanfics, well Thane fanfics, with a bit of Garrus. Garrus, who btw, did NOT come around last night with his C-Sec handcuffs...

Would also like someone's lemon baking, if someone could so be so kind as to link me. :) Need more coffee...

My technical difficulties should be over tonight. Got the last of my parts this morning, but I need to go pick up a cable on the way home from work. Then I shall finish my Thane/FemShep video. I swear I'm having withdrawals.

She hasn't been online for a while now, I wouldn't expect a chapter anytime soon but she did say she should really get back to it so here's hoping!

Brandon Keener's words were:

I am so glad that everyone is so keen on getting Thane cured! But I wonder when Garrus' bandage will come off, that thing can't be sanitary!

Ah, Mr. Keener is ace. And Garrus will arrest you drellickers...

No, I still think it will be a VS DLC. But there is a lot of commotion all of a sudden for a cure for Thane. Ah well, it will be announced soon...

When is this dlc comming? I dont think it will be a cure dlc either.

I think thats what bugging people the most. That the dlc they have been waiting for will be all about Thane.

Hehe it will be the Garrus gets plastic surgery dlc instead

Hey! I don't want them to change Garrus' face :(

Hehe, but I believe that is a different topic, it's answered on DA.

But a lot of commotion is being caused for a cure for Thane, and it probably aint DLC, something is brewing... I can smell it...

I am seriously not trying to bum you guys out, but having your expectations raised prematurely sucks.  Let's be realistic.  Optimistic, but realistic   If anything, it indicates that the devs are happy to see our enthusiasm, and they PROBABLY won't just kill Thane off or put him on a bus in ME3.  It shouldn't be taken as anything concrete.

As for Garrus, I think the bandage looks silly, but a badass SCARRED Garrus with his sexy-as-sin voice is just made of YUM.  Maybe they'll ditch the bandage....*daydreams*

Actually, what he said was:

I see there's a campaign to cure Thane of his Kepral's Syndrome.
Heartily endorse. (Maybe when they're done, they could do something
about that scary bandage Garrus wears everywhere. That can't be
sanitary...)

I dont take anything for granted until I see Thane cured with my own eyes. Rumors and speculation aside.

It's not unrealistic to get our hopes up that they might  actually let us some how cure Thane. I think most poeple here know the DLC isn't going to be about him.

Yeah, I don't see Thane getting any cure DLC. It would most likely (please!!) be ingame material.

Edit: which could actually make the game longer. So, really, a win.

Yeah, I know.  I just figure that the lower I keep my expectations, the more likely I'll be pleasantly surprised come ME3

That's what I'm trying to do. I would love to be pleasantly surprised. I don't know what they have in mind for Thane, but I'm hoping it's something good. Posted Image

I'd just be happy if they let him last till the end of ME3. He is one of my fave squadmates, really - I'm used to using him! Plus, why make building your squad the entire storyline of ME2, if you aren't going to be able to use them in ME3? If they survived ME2 and randomly get sidelined through ME3, they pretty much completely undermined the entire second game. That's just silly talk.

Hear ye, Bioware? Silly talk!

I really hope the cure for Thane (assuming there is one) is in ME3 and not DLC. It would be annoying if I wasn't able to cure him because of that.

Maybe his bandage will come off and he'll have cybernetics like Saren on that side of his face? :D

Well, I would just be disappointed, say so on the forums, and that would be all. If his death wasn't worthy of his character, it would be more like a mini-rant with suggestions about everything it could have been, and then that would be all. xD The story will end whichever way I want it to in my imagination.

I agree, Kim.

I'll be disappointed. There might be some tears. But a story is a story, and it will be epic. It's BioWare, after all.

That's one thing I expect from every BioWare game, and I haven't been wrong yet - that they're awesome. I have a lot of hopes for ME3, and one of them is a way to prolong Thane's life (or at least have him live through the game), but not many specific things that I expect.
