MainShep: Commander Shepard-Arterius at your service, Magical Boyfriend Resurrection Fairy!
TIM hologram: *facepalm* I can't believe that name caught on.
Saren: Wait a minute... we got married?! o_o
Garrus: Yeah. You and Shep, me and Tasha. Hell of a wedding too. We're in Vegas, in case you couldn't tell.
Saren: I'm on Earth now? *points to Earthborn Ruthless and laughs* And he's in Vegas?
Earthborn Ruthless: That's... bad. Vegas decided right before I joined the Alliance that I was never allowed back.

Saren: Why, of all things, am I the most surprised by Thane acting as our priest?

Hey, Mordin DOES mention...ah...intimate uses for biotics if you romance one of the human squaddies, all of whom are biotic. So he's dancing gleefully with the rest of us in immatureville. I wish he'd had that line for Thane too, but the drellicking's good enough as it stands.

Yeah, isn't that for Jack? I think that he warns Shepard about her power, and recommends that he uses anti-biotics.Sable Rhapsody wrote...

Ok, I have told that joke before, but my birthday oracle said I should use my sense of humour more
Besides, now we have established that Thane likes Shepard's booty, I imagine he would slap a pull field there. As for marriage, I think an Elvis Presley impersonator would be perfect for my drunken Vegas wedding:
Elvis impersonator: A little less calibrations, a little more action.
Garrus: *Rolls eyes*
Thane: I was under the impression that Garrus' 'calibrations' involved a great deal of 'action.'
Garrus: Are we really having this conversation?
Elvis Impersonator: A little less conversation, a little more action.
Garrus: *Facepalm*
Thane and Garrus are always pal snipers and best buds in my books.

I think Mordin mentions it for all the human LIs.
I don't know that Garrus and Thane would immediately click--it might take some work on Shep's part to turn them into friends rather than just respected colleagues. Or an Elvis impersonator, that always helps
They have lots of personality differences. Garrus is more hotheaded, and much more of a "heart" person. He's also in a different life stage--despite what happened on Omega, he's still a relatively idealistic guy at heart, determined to punish the wicked and protect the good.
Thane is older, and more importantly, he's had a family, fallen in love, etc. He's in a different place in his life. He strikes me as more resigned and world-weary, less idealistic. In some ways he's a lot more Paragon than Garrus. I also don't know that Thane's morals would initially sit well with Garrus, and vice versa.

True, they are very different people, of course. But they have both experienced tragedy in their lives, and they both try to pull through it. That, in my opinion, brings them closer together.
I think Thane can be quite passion driven as well as Garrus. Especially when he 'lingered' on the Batarians' deaths, and in his letter to Shepard as well.
Of course, Thane is quite reclusive and so they wouldn't immediately click. But if Shepard convinces them to talk to each other or something, then I am sure they will be pal snipers!

I think there needs to be an entire rewrite of that song for Garrus fans!!

I agree with the analysis of others. I think Thane is more worldly and patient, while Garrus tends to act on raw emotion and doesn't always think things through.
I adore them both, which is why in my head canon for my FemShep they are both very important men in her life.

I'd say it's a different kind of passion that drives Thane. In fact, it's quite opposite of the kind that defines Garrus as a character. For Thane, it's personal. It's personal with the batarians, with Kolyat, and with Shep. Even his involvement on the suicide mission is personal, a kind of quest for redemption before he dies.
For Garrus, it can be personal (Sidonis, Saleon), but it's largely ideological. Garrus gets just as righteously angry over the deaths of strangers on Omega as he does over the deaths of his friends. He cares more about justice and retribution for the wicked as ideals.

BTW, Thane video is going to be delayed for a while. I decided I'm going to do it in 1080 HD, so I'm recapturing footage. That and the conversion from 32-bit to 64-bit messed up some of my vid files.
EDIT:
Scratch that, I fixed them. Ignore what I said... lol.

Aw, TIM knows I'm just joking. He's one of my favorites. I bet he would use a sparkly pink star wand if it saved him four million credits and two years per resurrection though. xD And those lines would work well for priest Thane in that scenario.Sable Rhapsody wrote...

About Garrus and Thane getting along or being friends, I was just talking about this yesterday in the Garrus thread, so here's the copy + paste response: I think Garrus and Thane would get along well if they ever talked to each other. The thing is, Thane's not used to being social and Garrus doesn't seem to be the type who would go out of his way to talk with someone. Garrus is impressed by Thane's skills. They could probably have polite, casual conversation... maybe one that involves snipers and stealth kills. At least, it sounds like the sort of thing two guys who are very mission-focused would talk about.

You don't want multiple playthroughs? I've planned out 20+. xD I also keep a lot of saves after getting stuff wrong all the time in videogames over the years. If anyone died in my suicide mission, I have a save right before it starts and right before the final battle.

If it makes you feel better, I've got a playthrough where Thane and Zaeed both die. I like both characters a lot, but Zaeed's DLC and Thane has his Kepral's. If they're put on a bus or not concluded well in ME3, I'm going to import the ME2 playthrough where they die in the suicide mission and let'm go out in a blaze of glory instead.
I would've done the same with Kasumi, since she's also DLC, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I use Kasumi too much on missions, and I had quite a few left after the suicide mission. She is win.

BTW guys, this is what happens when you watch Youtube videos with the "captions" option turned on. It tries to recognise the voices in the video and translate them into words.Stabby McGoodstab wrote...
But it oftentimes gets it totally wrong XD
Like in the examples above, instead of "My apologies. Drell-", it thought Thane said "my apologies drugs".
Someone didn't type those subtitles, that's just what Youtube thought he was saying! XD
Most talking videos have this feature, you should try it! Press the CC button available on those videos to "transcribe audio", it's hilarious!
Here are some others funny ones that we have found!
