Bioware are always great with their writing, Thane was great in the romance scene. Very typical of his character, but there were a couple of femshep's lines that I wasn't so keen on. The 'Be alive with me tonight' was a bit corny, especially due to Thane's condition...

I don't think Shepard will regret it. She is giving Thane purpose and happiness in his final months/years. I can see where you are coming from, you think that Shepard may regret it later because it will hurt more (when and if) Thane will pass away from Keprel's syndrome. Although, on here, apart from a terrible typo on the previous page, we are convinced Thane will live on in ME3.

So why did you find the romance weird? Also, have you tried out Garrus' romance yet? I recommend it!

Just romanced Thane for the first time, absolutely love the romance (apart from the "be alive with me tonight" made me cringe) but after reading the letter after LofSB, he says see you in death well along those lines, would he not be with his deceased wife, this sort of situation always bothers me? Hypothetically anyway?

I'm almost positive Thane isn't going to die. Still doesn't keep me from feeling sad about his current state, though.

So, question. Does anyone else feel weird romancing Thane with more than one FemShep? I've never been able to do so, as it just feels wrong. Perhaps because she's my favorite and original character, so I'm incredibly attached to her. Funny thing is, though, I'm just as fond of Garrus but I have two Sheps with him... same with Kaidan.

I guess I'm a lot more selfish with Thane. XD

I think I would feel the same if I would have one single Shep that I am really attached too. I have around 10 Sheps that I all really like and I cannot say which is my main or favourite. Normally I plan for each Shep the LI but than I think, "oh she would so wonderful fit to Garrus" and than Thane shows up and I think "Oh, she really fits to Thane" and it is really hard to decide which of both to romance. And this is the problem with nearly every Shep I have. And when I decide which LI to select, I make a new Shep for the other LI 

Sometimes, it is really hard to stay faithfull....

I have romanced Thane on three separate playthrough's with the same Shepard, if that counts. But that's only because I have one FemShep. I do, however, plan to create a new FemShep from scratch this summer, who's also going to romance Thane.

I honestly have zero interest in the other male love interests. Kaidan is my second favorite, but I muchly prefer Thane.

The Garrus megathread is, well, pretty mega! Although you think that was big, the previous Tali thread had way over 20K posts. No joke!

I preferred playing a femshep to a maleshep, but I do have a maleshep for Tali. Did you know that Thane is the only character to have romance specific content in his LotSB dossier? So we are pretty spoiled!

However, the romance scene does have its... perks. Revealed to us by a certain flycamera...

And welcome to zombiegeisha!! I believe that Irikah and Shepard will be stood in front of Thane at the pearly gates. And I wouldn't want to imagine that things would come down to a decision (poor Thane!) But, if it did, it seems Irikah dissapproved of Thane's proffession as an assassin, and it appears they didn't have the opportunity to spend much time together. Although there is no doubt that they loved each other.

So I think Thane would pick.... Shepard!

Although, perhaps I am biased!

And 5iha, I have two Shepards for Thane and it feels fine. Perhaps your femshep wants Thane all to herself!

Tali is my favourite female character.

It does separate him out from other dossiers. But each dossier can be interpreted differently for a romanced/unromanced LI. So they have been really good with the dossiers.

I think Thane only wrote a letter because of his mortality. Bioware's way of saying sorry perhaps?

No I don't feel weird about doing it. I have about  two so far and will probably do more. I'm not that attatched to my Shepards so maybe that's one reason. I think the main reason is Thane is my favorite. The other romances I can only do once and then I have no intrest in doing them again. I never loose intrest in Thane, so I create new Shepards for him. I also create new Shepards because I can't really play the same one over and over. I have to make a new one. That might change if I find one I become attached to.

I did do the Garrus romance twice though.

All my FemSheps are for Thane, well excep the one for Garrus. She may change her mind though and head for lift support. They don't mind sharing. There's plent of Drell to go around.
