Cia, is it GREEN TEA that is in Thane's mug then, eh?
And thankyou for your biology clarifications. It is entirely feasible for them to come up with a cure. Isn't Keprel's syndrome a bacterial infection that is caused by the buildup of moisture in drell's lungs (when they are more designed for more arid environments.)
Is it, then, similar to bronchitus, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is the buildup of mucus in your lungs. We can cure that now, so Keprel's syndrome should, theoretically be easy...
However, this is sci-fi, and it isn't theoretical. We have to bear in mind that we are dealing with alien biology who may have a more complicated anatomy and a whole different system to ours. So, because drell are a whole different species, it is impossible to compare.
I, personally, will accept that Thane may pass away in the epilogue like Kim said. But because of Bioware's enthusiasm for the 'Cure for Thane,' I no longer think this will be the case.
I love Thane. But I accept that when you are in a situation like his, it is virtually impossible for things to have a happy ending. However, I think his story arc will take a magnificent turn in ME3.
My favourite outcome, is still Thane having his life prolonged through some sacrifice, or a moral choice. It would appeal to those who would like a bittersweet ending, those who want some realism in his character completion, and to those who want him alive and kicking with Shepard
