Yeah. My main Shepard is a colonist and a sole survivor. She also lost one of her best friends when Ashley died. She dealt with Toombs and that girl from Mindoir. She's suffocated in space, lost most of her old crew, been forced to work for a group she despises, and been abandoned by the Council and Kaidan. That's enough tragedy for one lifetime, methinks.

I know, I want some sentimental, sad, deep, and enraging moments just to make it interesting, but the the whole
"I love you, but your dying! *sob*" has been used so much that it should be an option to save him. If they make this
story too depressing it will start to sound more like some 13 year old's whiny fan fiction instead of a Bioware masterpiece. Also it would seem bizarre that you can save the entire galaxy twice but you can't cure one drell? Seriously? That's when Bioware puts on the "let's be reasonable" breaks?... If he dies I'm going to be so mad...

Yeah Shepard will have saved the galaxy three times at the end of ME3. One sick Drell should be cake work here. Especially one sick by a bacterial infection. What we run out of penicillin?

Oh your Shep needs a hug! Once you really start tallying up all the crap that's happened it makes you REALLY happy you are not actually Shepard. Her life has actually really really sucked. Except for meeting Thane.

This is not too different from my own SHepard, made especially for Thane.  The difference being she's earthborn and has commitment issues

I had this bizarre, horrible thought the other day.  What if the Hanar have the cure, but only give it to Drell who worship the Enkindlers?  I know, horrible, bizarre thought, but I could see that little plot twist happen in ME3.

 oh the hanar don't want to mess with me!!  If they have a cure they better give it up or I'll go battousai on them!

I had thought about this and I see it like this: The Hanar saved the Drell from extinction by bringing them to their homeworld. They didn't say "If you don't convert we're not saving you." Going along with this train of thought, I doubt it'll come to "No conversion, no cure!" If anything, I think the Hanar feel compelled to give them the cure no strings attatched considering it's their home planet which causes the Drell to get the disease anyway.

Bioware could be totally evil and make it so that we'd have to convert Thane, but I think that would do more damage to his character than just curing him would ever do.

Keep up good work! Thane is my second favourite LI for femSheps. Cerberus brought Shep from dead, but one bacteria is just too much? Huh?

Alright so I was on the NeckSnap discussion, the community play list and I thought hmmm a song for Thane wonder what I have......And I stumbled on to an Elvis Presley song....I love Elvis the man had a voice of an angel.  Anyway I thought for sure he would have one for the Shepard/Thane song I could contribute.  Well he did.  I figure this is more of a To Shepard From Thane song should he die of the illness.   thought I would share here too.

FINALLY I found this thread, listen you Thane fans -Nerd Rage Incoming- I spent three hours looking for information about Thanes race the Drells and there relationship with the Hanar and how they live together, Drells issues with breathing and Drells ability to remember everything in-game. I COULDNT FIND ANYTHING expect love scenes, and the small video I did find had some guy talking over Thane.



Please record in-game footage about Thanes race, breathing disabilties and other things so I can add them to the sticky.

Done! I've been reading the forums since the game was released, I just haven't felt the need to post about anything else yet. Thane's survival is priority #1

Dialogue videos, I have codex entries via mass effect wiki for the Drell but I would like to provide video proof to back up the wiki's claims, you can never be to sure with a wiki.

If I would learn to read I would have seen that the first time LOL! 

Bioware's official site has stuff on the Drell.  Hopes this helps a bit.

On the subject of Drell in general though (sorry if someone's already asked and I missed it), there is mention of
"one unique characteristic is the hyoid bone in their throats, which allows them to inflate their throats and produce vocal sounds outside of the human range."
