Well, as a LI I think Thane appearance in ME3 is a given, but I also wonder if he will be a full-time squadie.

I would think that if Thane is to be cured, Shepard will have to solve some sort of quest, and it would make sense ( to me ) to have Thane around, so if he is just a cameo... that means that there's no cure? 

Someone should make a motivational or logo for our Drelllickers group out of that screenshoot with Thane grabbing FemShep ass XD

Ick... Not that Kaidan wasn't cute, but just vacant of that critical mass that makes one swoon/commit....

So from the looks of what we're being told about having more than one LI across two games, it there will be some sort of Kaidan/Thane confrontation at the end, I REALLY hope that my femshep's choice NOT TO sleep with Kaidan (even though she *technically* romanced him) will have SOME sort of effect on the dialog...

I rolled another femshep that goes romanceless in ME1 as insurance.

Accidentally romancing someone only happened to me once. After that I usually just avoid talking to a character I don't want to romance. I am interested to see what happens with the Shepard that didn't stay loyal.  I went back and made a single Shepard also. I really wanted Thane to have a Shepard all to himself with no prior attachments.

I've never been ninja-romanced in ME--I guess that makes me lucky.  Though to be entirely fair, I was pretty mean to Kaidan the first time I played ME1, so I dodged that one.  

I was holding out for smexy maliens.  NO COMPROMISE!

LOL, I've been ninjamanced by Liara before just by being polite, but otherwise have been able to plan without problems. But when it comes to Kaidan and Ash, when in doubt, Virmire. =P

I liked Kaiden but I Virmired him for story purposes for my Paragon Shepard (She didn't want to play favorites and didn't want her emotions to compromise her. My Paragon Shepard is very stoic mostly)

On my Renegrade Shepard, well, she is indifferent. XDD But I didn't like how harsh she was in saying "I just want to be friends, Liara" (Hale says it so harshly o.o I felt bad when she said it.)

Anyway, I'm glad that I got to hear Thane and Mouse talk about chocolate. Thane looks like he is about to cry when he goes like: I never got my son chocolate.

Alrighty, so I am super late in doing this for you ladies and gents (Mostly ladies. lol!)! But, here it is! My version of "When Thane Meets Kaidan". Enjoy!


The mission is over and the Normandy crew can, for a short while, enjoy some breathing time after defying the odds by saving the galaxy by destroying the Collector base. It's been about a couple of weeks now and commander Whitney Shepard (That's my Shepard. *giggles*) has been making arrangements to see old faces from the days of when she set out for the first time on an forever life changing adventure. She had gotten a message from Kaidan Alenko just a fews before and had just arrived to the Citidal to meet and allow Kaidan to board onto the Normandy for a few days.

*Whitney, accompanied by squadmates Thane Krios and Jacob Taylor greet Kaidan at the Citidal docking port.*


Whitney Shepard: *hugging Kaidan* Hey, Kaidan! I'm glad you found me worthy of your trust again to want to travel with us for a while. How do you like the new Normandy? A beauty, isn't she?

Kaidan: I never stopped trusting you, Shepard. I just wanted to know if you were the same commander I remember serving under two years ago. As for the new Normandy...I guess, she looks like she's a great ship. Are you sure you aren't being enticed by her? The wrong way?

Whitney Shepard: Kaidan, she is a phenomenal ship. Better than the first, I must admit. Just ask Joker and--

Kaidan: Joker is flying the ship? He was bought by Cerberus, too?

Whitney Shepard: He wasn't "bought", Kaidan. He volunteerd on his own free will. He actually pilots this Normandy better than ever.

Kaidan: Right. Well, whatever the case may be, I plan to stay grounded while being on your ship. I only requested to travel with you because we have a lot to talk about. You know, about you and me...

Thane: *clears his throat*

Whitney Shepard: We do have...A LOT to talk about. But, let's do it on the ship in the debriefing room. I want to introduce you to our ship's A.I., EDI. She is truly a revolutionary state of the art A.I.

Kaidan: EDI?

Jacob: EDI is short for "Enhanced Defense Intelligence". One of a kind.

Kaidan: I see. So, you all rely on your ship to think for you instead of you thinking for yourselves, I gather?

Jacob: No. We still function the way we always do. But, EDI is a huge asset and we wouldn't shut her down for anything.

Kaidan: Whatever you say.

Sorry, ladies and gents. My medicine is kicking in. lol. I am so sleepy, I am surprised I can type this. I will come back and add more if you want more. We are getting closer to the Thane meets Kaidan scene. ^___^*

You do the renegrade option with Mouse, not the renegrade interrupt. After Shepard threats Mouse, Mouse starts saying, "Thane, you used to give me chocolate. Real Chocolate."

Also, I only got that convo about chocolate on my third playthrough or something. Didn't even realise it was there. That was back when I was still discovering dialogue and new easter eggs from ME2

Whitney Shepard: So, what do you think of the ship?

Kaidan: I have to admit its quite exceptional and your crew seem to really look up to you. Just as the old crew did...

Whitney Shepard: It seemed that way, didn't it? I was just doing my job, though. I don't see what's so special about me.

Kaidan: Obviously. Cerberus thought you were special enought to "bring you back from the dead", which I am still having a hard time believing.

Whitney Shepard: Kaidan, I don't think I have ever lied to you about anything. Isn't this awkward enough as it is?

Kaidan: Well, sure it is. I thought you were dead, Commander. You don't know what I had to go through just to be able to stand here before you. Why didn't you contact as soon as you...were "alive".

Whitney Shepard: Kaidan, it was not my choice. The illusive man through me right out in the field to try to find why the colonies were missing. I was given a ship, a new life, and purpose in just a matter of a couple of days. I had to process the fact that I was even dead, let alone finding out that we lost a lot of good people when the first Normandy was destroyed.

When I saw Captain Anderson soon after I came to, you were the first person I asked him about. He couldn't tell me what your mission was, which was understandable, with the rumors that were going around about me and Cerberus. But, what I couldn't understand was how all of sudden you thought of me as someone who stabbed you in the back. Someone who had abandoned you and our purpose for fighting for humanity. You acted as if I was your enemy!

Kaidan: Alright...alright, I admit, I was out of line with the way I spoke to you on Horizon. I was just in disbelief that you were actually standing right in front of me, Commander. I didn't know whether to hug you or...kill you. But, if I had to choose the latter....if I had orders...

Whitney Shepard: What? You would have tried to kill me?

Kaidan: I loved you, Shepard. I still do....despite the circumstances.

Whitney Shepard: Kaidan, I have something I need to--


* The doors of the debriefing room open and in walks Thane Krios*


Thane: Siha, am I interrupting?

Whitney Shepard: Oh, no you aren't, Thane. Please, come in. Is there something I can do for you?

Kaidan: Siha?

*Figitting, Whitney Shepard glances at Kaidan with no answer.*

Thane: Yes. I wanted to talk to you about something very important and was hoping if I could meet you in your quarters tonight.

*Kaidan stares down Thane with curiously*

Whitney Shepard: Oh, sure! You can meet me there around 9:00 tonight. Is that alright with you?

Thane: Yes, Siha. Thank you. I'll see you then.

Kaidan: Wait a minute, you're suppose to address her and "Commander" or "Commander Shepard". What is "Siha" and why do you call the Commander that?

Whitney Shepard: Kaidan...!

Thane: No, no, Siha. I can answer his question.

Kaidan: Please, do. *Glares at Thane, folding his arms in the process.*

*Thane stands firmly, placing his hands behind his back and begins to answer.*

Thane: The name "Siha" means " Fierce in wrath. A tenacious protector.". Very few of my species ever get to meet one. I was fortunate to meet mine in my lifetime.

Kaidan: I see.

Whitney Shepard: *ahem* Thane, would you escort Kaidan to his quarters, please?

Thane: My pleasure, Siha.




Alrighty, ladies. That'll hold you over until later on tonight. Gonna do some Mass Effect now for more inspiration. ^__^* Be back soon!

Oh no doubt about it, sadly, my shep technically romanced him and got hugged/dissed on Horizon and got the limp apology.  Even though she evaded the consummation at the end of ME1 (there's a dialog option of "this is not the time or place" that allows you to avoid the romance scene)- but that doesn't seem to count. Arghhh... But damn it, it should..

I tried to write out how I thought the whole thing would go down, and it turned into a mock facebook parody with Shepard threatening to jettison Thane, Garrus, and Zaeed over Mars. >.>

It sounds like someone's been playing DA2?  Or at least heard some of the dialogue 

I know the magazines have said being "unfaithful" comes to a head at the worst possible time, but I have a very hard time seeing Kaidan and Thane getting too riled up over it without being OOC.  Kaidan's chillaxed, and Thane's very professional.
