Herp, derp, back to report on that PT:

*We're doing Kasumi's mission, and we get a look on, well Shepard's look*

Her: Oh, that's quite a "Little black dress" Shepard is sporting! Oh, sorry, "Miss Gunn" is sporting! But that Hock...Not a sympathetic person by any means is he?

Me: No. Your atypical friendly neighborhood villian. Pastiche'd from a Bond movie.

Her: Heh, now that you mention it, this mission's premise does have bit of "Bond" written over it. I mean, look at Shepard's dress for crying out loud! But, she's the agent in this mission, not the villian's insider agent!

Me: Yep. Shepard is the one handing out the orders here.

Her: Indeed she is! Spectre Esmeralda Shepard, Infiltrator, Spacer, War Hero, Paragon, and drell charmer*! Speaking of which, tis a shame Thane is not with us on this mission... :(

Me: Yeah, it's a shame. I guess he'd stand out too much on Hock's all-human party though.

Her: Bah, I'm sure the assassin would find someplace discreet to hide.

Me: That's a point you've got there.

Her: Speaking of drell charming*, we still don't know what "Siha" means. Tsk, cliffhanger.

Me: Heh, time will tell if we get to the top of that cliff.

Her: Eh, we're not bringing him on this mission so I guess that's a cliffhanger for him too.

Me: Uh, yeah...I suppose that is true.

Her: I mean, he's sitting all alone in Life Support, probably going through memories, heck, he's probably going over and over about Shepard's "I've come to care for you" and ""Friends" huh? That's a start.". He did say he'd rather go through "pleasant memories" than sit all alone staring at a wall.

Me: Er, yeah he uh, kind of did. Although the kind of "pleasant memories" he was talking about...uhm nvm. *Ehem* We've got a heist to do.

Her: Oh, yes. Gotta help Kasumi!

*/Note: Another Swedish explaination inbound; She's saying "drell-tjusare" in Swedish, it's a play on the Swedish word "orm-tjusare", in English: "snake charmer". So "drell-tjusare" = "drell charmer"

*We meet Hock*

Her: Ew. I don't like him at all.

Me: Neither do I.

Her: Ugh. I hope we nail this slippery piece of trash.

*We're at Hock's party, and it's time to get him "talking". We we're low on Paragon points so that left us with three choices, two of them didn't sound like they'd entice Hock into talking*

Her: Sheesh...safest bet is to pick upper-left (The "Flirt" response) I guess? Oh well, she's under-cover. *shrug*

Me: Well, it will probably work. Here goes nothing...

*Shepard flirts with Hock*

Her: Er...That was unexpected. But ehrm...that was some acting on Shepard's part. Pfft, save some for the assassin Shep! ;P

Me: Oh, she probably will.

*We rummage through Hock's private quarters and check out the sofa*

Shepard: "Aha!"

Kasumi: "Found DNA?"

Shepard: "No, a credit chit!"

Her: Oh for crying out...Shepard you and your awkward distractions...XD

Me: Don't forget: "WE CAN USE THIS!", "I'LL TAKE IT!", "THIS WILL COME IN HANDY!", "OH, WHAT'S THIS?"

Her: Oh..Shepard, you tactful upgrade hoarder... >_<

*Fast-forward to "Mission Complete!" We parade ourselves to Life Support, Thane says "Will you hear my confession Siha?"*

Me: Well, here we go.

*Thane tells us of how he met Irikah, how he raced Shepard to Nassana, and last but def. not least, he explains what "Siha" means; "A warrior angel of Arashu. Fierce in wrath, a tenacious protector".*

Her: Oh my...He thinks of Shepard as an angel? Awww, he certainly doesn't mince words does he? Nor does he kid around about feelings. Shepard is one lucky lady! But goddammit, Mordin, "Kepral Syndrome"... Do something you brilliant-minded salarian!

*We talk to Kasumi; After commenting on keeping the greybox, she comments about Thane*

Her: Oh, you find Thane mysterious now do you? Oi, keep your mitts to Jacob! /jk

*Kasumi continues: "Whenever you (Shepard) are mentioned, his (Thane's) eyes go all aflutter!"*

Her: Hehe! Look who's all turned into mush by Shepard's charms! ;)

She decided we'd do Miranda's LM before we do Garrus'. Oh well. Anyhoo... Miranda's LM made her a Miri-fan. She really likes Miranda now. Yep. that's it for this time. Garrus LM is next up on our list. Yep.

Garrus is a far worse manho.  He ends up with either Shep or Tali in most games, two of the sexiest and most badass ladies in the galaxy.  So Thane needs to get in on the manho-ing action ^_^

Speaking of our plentifully ridged Drell...can anyone remember how to gib him in early? I cannot get his dossier to pop up (lololol) to save my life. I remember something about Legion needing to be ticked...

A bit late for the reply @mnomaha, but wouldn't have been any help regardless. ;) Hope you figure it out, and then tell me some of the dialogue he has if you take him on Jack's RM and/or Grunts RM....pretty please?? That is, if he says anything. :D

I've picked up Mordin and I wanted to take him with me to get Garrus. I'm on hold until someone remembers. Damned if I can find it myself. :(

I'll keep you updated on the dialogue if I get some help. :)

Yeah, to get Thane after Freedom's Progress you need to check the Miranda Alternate Appearance and Jacob Alternate Appearance.

To get Thane in Freedom's Progress, Save right as they drop you there and check....Thane 1st Appearance, Thane acquired, Thane in Squad, Thane is revealed, Thane is selectable. You can check Thane is loyal if you want, he'll still ask to see you and you'll still have to do his LM.

I will remind those who want to drop him in Freedom's Progress, you MUST either uncheck Jacob OR Miranda in squad. I normally take Jacob out. This will cut out some of Veetor's dialogue though. You will get to the RI or PI and the part where Jacob is supposed to speak will kick you straight to TIM...Veetor by default will be given to Tali.

Hope that's the right info!

Edit: trying to get the quote to work.

Well look at Beanie go! Good on ya....I think I will just keep a copy of these instructions, on the off chance I DO buy ME1 & ME2 for the PC. Still not sure....if I had a more stable DSL connection, I would just look at buying and downloading from Steam or whatever, but.......*wah-wah-waaaah!* :P

Haha! I just remembered someone asking in the photo album topic and there's not that many pages to go through in there. Maybe I'll keep a copy too, would be interesting to have Thane on the other missions! Thought I don't have a gaming PC so have to stick with the xbox for now.

I understand...I only recently got a new desktop so I could start playing games on it (yes, yes....and do work. bleh!) That is why I have all the BW games on the xbox as well. Now I have DAO:UE and DA2 on the PC, but I really didn't want to spend more money on ME after what happened with me3. I still play both ME1 and ME2 on the xbox (got a play through I'm working on right now, in fact), and for that reason alone, I am tempted to buy them for the PC. BUT......idunno...... :P

I love my pc games. I love my PS1 & PS2 games as well, but there's more customsations available on pc for most games.

Especially something like ME2 where you can get Thane earlier.

@Beanie!!! You rock woman! Thanks so much!

Except save-editing is possible on the Xbox!*
If you've got a spare USB-storage device that is.

*/Coalesced mods, txtmods can't be done on Xbox naturally.

It involves a few more steps than on PC but it does work, I've successfully fixed the "Conrad Verner bug" in ME2 with Gibbed (Heh first time I ever saw the "Paragon" dialogue).

I've also modded appearances and first names for Shepard in ME2.

(I used the same ME1 import for all of my ME2 PTs. It was confusing that every PT had the same name so I renamed my Shepards after importing them in ME2)

Heck, I even managed to mod my ME1 Xbox-save so that I wouldn't need to replay it a third time just to hit lvl 60. Hex-Editor FTW!

But, I've yet to gib in Thane/Tali/Samara early. Might do it on my Solider PT.

[Edit] A bit OT but...Yay! I finally figured out how to properly set-up the mesh for a Combat drone in 3ds Max!
Now, if only I could get the Tech Armor to work properly.....

Oh, such a cute word! I enjoy your little Swedish lessons.  I live in Finland but my Swedish is very rusty. Also, can't wait to hear your mom's reaction to Thane's romance scene -- if you'll go all the way up there!

Today I first time played through the Citadel coup & Thane's death scene with a Shepard that didn't romance him. The dialogues and all made a bit more sense when Thane wasn't romanced, but still... UGH. I was literally shaking during the coup, but afterwards, I felt nothing. To me, the death scene still seemed so unreal and stupid it could as well have been a dream.

In this playthrough I also managed to save Mordin. I love the way his fate is handled. Even if he lives, it's bittersweet; the guilt my Shep feels about sabotaging the cure is so tangible, and the way Mordin still seems a bit unhappy about not curing the genophage... it's almost heart-breaking. And does the option to save Mordin somehow "cheapen" his character? Well, I think it adds to his character, but maybe that's just me. Yep, I'm still wondering why there couldn't be a same kind of path for Thane. All I can think of is that they were lazy.

Oh, I was also going to shamelessly self-promote my character spotlight for Mordin but now it seems I don't have to. Thanks, Coldi.

FINE!! I buy the damn games.....quit pestering me. :D :D HAHA!

One thing I really need to do for future games on the PC, is learn to over-cloak my processor. I upgraded my video card (works great so far), replaced my dvd drive, about to replace the battery for a bigass one, but I'm not ready to fool around with the motherboard/processor yet. And this is a new PC, mind you. (yea....still a little bummed that hubby didn't do a bit more research, but dog love him for trying. *grin*) I did do a little research on the processor I have though, and even though it isn't exactly great, it is great for over-clocking. Because it is a cheaper processor, there are many who still buy them, and then over-clock them. The downside to this processor is how the quad functions (i'm told). It has a tendency to "not fire all cylinders", so to speak. If I turn the computer one, and immediately load up a game, it runs great. If I turn on the PC, tool around in wordpad, notepad, the internet, and THEN load up a game, I can sometimes (not always) run into problems.

Okay that was a lot of shop talk for no real reason. >.< ;)

Well, so far I haven't mucked up my Xbox saves. Course keeping a back-up of the "vanilla file" never hurts.

Two tips that are useful for Xbox/PC when gibbing:

1: Save your game twice before editing; that way you automatically keep a vanilla file that you can roll back on should your modded file become FUBAR.

2: Note down the save file number. I.e Save XX. This saves you time later.

3: Follow this tutorial

4: Profit?

And the best part about ME2* saves? You can convert them from PC to Xbox and vice versa.
So, should you change your platform of choice later on you can migrate your ME2 saves too.

*/Note: Not possible for ME1 and AFAIK not for ME3 either.

And now I'm off to help Garrus deal with Sidonis. See y'all later. ;)

[Edit] Haha! A few minutes late! Lol. Hmm curious...What MB/CPU have you got? Plus, PSU?

My CPU is an a quad-core too, and AMD (Iirc that was the brand you have too).
It's one of the late-gen Quad-cores so it runs ok without Over-clocking.

hehe...I guess my "cylinder" explanation wasn't very good.  Supposedly the reason I sometimes get slow downs on my PC (and this thing is bare...no added software when it was built) has to do with the type of processor I have.  It is a quad that is meant to fire the individual processors as needed.  So playing a game, should fire all four processors, while just tooling around with email, or working in wordpad would only need the bare minimum.  I don't know....I read stuff, and this is some of the things I learned about my processor.  I am only now starting to get PC literate again (worked in the industry in the late 90's early 2000's, but have been away from it since).  And I ain't that literate yet...heh!

As for the rest, my vid-card (which you were so kind to help with) and RAM are good (got 8g of ram), and I am upgrading my battery so it could handle anything I decided to change out over the next couple years.  Besides, the battery isn't going to break the bank, so figured I would do that now as well.Posted Image

I had a problem with that for Skyrim, but found a program that fired all four processors. I haven't had a other problems that that. Are you on Intel (barf) or AMD?

And um, I may be a big rusty, but why are you upgrading your battery and not your power supply? I'm running a 750, only need about 500, and run like a bat outta hell sometimes. :)

edit: maybe it's off topic but my signature is always on topic. :)
