AMD here, and hehe...I meant Power Supply. *DeRp* My power supply is at the bare minimum for my new video card (I have a 480 watt currently, and am upgrading to a 750).

edit: btw, going from a 480 (didn't know they still made them that small) to a 750 will make a big noticeable difference. I would do it soon. Your poor card is probably gonna start gasping for energy soon.

LOL, you ain't kidding. The video card has a bare minimum of 450 watt power supply requirement.

I took half the day off to get a bit further in my Chase Shepard play through...just triggered the Collector Ship. I usually bring Thane (of course) and Samara/Jack. I wish some of these other squaddies were as good at that mission. I have been trying to use some different squaddies this time around (except for Thane, of course). I have used Garrus and Zaeed before (with Thane), but the biotics are just so much better to roll with against collectors. *shrug*

They decided to buy a house (mansion) in another city and now one of the directors (man she's evil) decides she wants to come back to work but doesn't want to drive the 40 minutes to get here. In her new Holden Commodore. So, they're moving the head office and I'm out a job. I am the only one out a job. Bloody heartless feckers.

Funny that I should recall this, but I think his RM does not trigger if you recruit him early. You can still set him to loyal and get the LM, but the RM goes bye-bye when recruited early. Of course, I am working off of wine-soaked memory. Best to ask @utaker..........did she here me call?

Awesome shot of Wrex and Garrus (and I like your fem!Shep!). I miss playing with Wrex. He is my go-to squaddie in ME1. I actually like all of the characters in ME1, but I have my favorites. For RPing, I love Ash and Wrex, for combat it's Wrex, Kaidan and Garrus. Of course when Geth are my main target, Garrus and Tali work best. However, on Feros I prefer Garrus and Kaidan; because of the Shaira clones, I like having a biotic around. But Kaidan wins out over Wrex here because he also has tech skills against the Geth.

So, going to get Thane early or not??? I was thinking about how I have read how some people manage to trigger Horizon before getting Jack and/or Grunt. Doing so would allow you to recruit Thane before all the regular first-round dossier recruits get...well, recruited. I tried to make this work on the xbox, and it was a no go. But I got to thinking....because the xbox version uses two discs, and trying to get to Illium after Horizon forces the xbox to tell you to put in the second disk. This makes me think that THAT is what is preventing me from triggering Horizon early, and being able to get Thane sooner. With the PC version, you wouldn't have this issue. So I wonder if you did the following if you could trigger Horizon:
1) Go get Mordin
2) Go get Garrus
3) Speak to Aria
4) Pick up Zaeed
5) Go to Citadel and talk to Anderson
6) Pick up Kasumi
7) Do the Normandy Crash site, the Cerberus hostage being tortured for intel, and perhaps an N7 mission

This might be enough to trigger Horizon before Jack and Grunt. If/when I get the PC version, I think I will try that again. If it doesn't work, then I will gibb him in early at least once. I really want to hear any dialogue he has on those early missions.

Gah, it's late and I'm tired and stressed. Maybe I'll take something and go nite nite. I just really want to take Thane with me when I get Garrus.

On subsequent playthroughs I was better about cycling the party, but my first PT Garrus and Wrex were all I took with me either.  Garrus has, by and large, remained glued to my hip.

Except when I play my infiltrator ManShep.  I'm not a fantastic sniper, so Garrus and Thane have a habit of kill-stealing from me <_<

Now I have DAO:UE and DA2 on the PC, but I really didn't want to spend more money on ME after what happened with me3. Heh, my ME1 squad was largely Kaidan and Garrus.

Playing as a Solider back then (because I sucked at the combat gameplay), I had no way to decrypt/hack objects. That, and using Kaidan/Garrus instead of Tali/Liara was (because of my not-so-awesome-skills) suicide. That and I sucked at surviving Thresher Maws. So more HP-repair for the Mako = Yay! So Kaidan and Garrus were my bros.

I've got no update on mum's PT right now; RL threw us both a kick in the teeth yesterday. :/

Garrus is good in ME1 & 3

but in ME2 as a squad mate...........IMO he sucked. He's great at spamming overload but when comes to staying alive .........
I had Grunt to make up for Garrus. Throw some Zaeed in there for crowd control (incendary grenades) and BAM! I was Public Enemy #1

@Seiffer - You're in the Thane thread, and you don't put the kick-ass drell in your ME2 squad lineup??? For shame! hehehe!

I've said it once (okay more than once), and I'll say it again, if I had the ability to have Wrex on my team in ME2, Wrex and Thane would have been the perma-squad! Since I play Engineer/Infiltrator almost all the time (have played the other classes, but I have the most play throughs with engineer/infiltrator), I take care of the tech. Thane with his sniper and Wrex with Carnage (Shush you! My fantasy play through, and dammit, Wrex has Carnage!), and both can spam biotics....hello, dead people! I win!

@giftfish - lol silly lady! If you find that copy of ME2, I will pay for it and the shipping. Obviously no worries if it sold.

Okay I know this may sound crazy....but I just went to this thread and it says they are doing something special for Femshep...just femshep....I wonder what it's gonna be? I'm not gonna get my hopes up to high but........I don't know but this has got me wondering big time!....maybe it's not much but we will have to wait and see....

Anyways nuff bout that....in ME1 I take Wrex with me just about everywhere...and Garrus of course but I try to be fair and take one of each squadmate at least once or twice...but it's mostly Wrex and Garrus! ^^

Yeah, don't get your hopes up. The last time a dev or whatever it was over at Bioware said they had something special planned for FemShep, it was the dress from Kasumi's mission.
