Okay...I'm less livid now...or not...

Everytime I go into a thread talking about Thane all I see is "You knew he was gonna die", "He had a Great death,deal with it" people have been protesting nicely for over 7 months now bout BW giving us an option to save Thane...an option and I haven't seen one damn person from BW give us any feedback!

So yeah I'm not gonna be nice anymore and I'm gonna speak my mind!
I'm not gonna go around and kiss BW's a** and beg! Why should I? They are the ones that decided to treat Femshep like crap,they are the ones that decided to kill/break off her LI's and treat maleshep like he was fu***** King! They should fix the mess they made which they know they did...they just want to ignore us!

Yes Bioware is Sexist and I have to say a bit racist...I'm mean seriously its like they are stamping all black males as cheaters!...wha????

EDIT:  I'm on top..agaiin hehe!


EDIT AGAIN: I hope I didn't scare everybody off (I probably did)...sorry,it's been a bad week for me!

No problem Roxy.

I just don't like telling people what they should feel. If they want to rage, fine. If not, that's fine too.

Sure being nice generally helps when you're trying to get a response, but when you get trolled or outright ignored from the people you're trying to contact then that's another issue all together.

And to be honest I haven't seen irrational angry Thane fan posts, even right after ME3 came out and wounds were very raw. Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but I didn't. The only times I saw angry posts were at trolls who kept attacking or people that just couldn't accept that people wanted more time with Thane.

But I did see some very entitled "Deal with it" fans though.

For the record, I'm uncomfortable throwing around the "R" word unless it's obviously blatant. But I will call out pandering to stereotypes and being racially insensitive in Jacob's case. Sexism, in femShep case is rather obvious due to the fact she had a lot taken away from her and nothing was replaced.

I was a bit hesitant of saying the "R" word believe me,but it just feels that way cause I mean Jacob was the only black guy that was part of the squad and pretty much the only black guy to have a relationship with ...and with what they did to him in ME3.....ugh horrible!

I've seen videos of Jacob and shep in ME2 on Yt and he doesn't seem the kind of person that wants to just have a one night stand!

*sigh* You do realise that yelling and ranting in here will only 1) get the thread locked and 2) be ignored. You need a more public platform and one that bioware does not control. They ignore us in here, so why bother venting in here. We do have a facebook page (look in my signature) for the ME2 squadmates. Go vent in there. As a matter of fact, please go vent in there. I've started talking to myself in there.

And please, (no, this is not a correction) try not to yell at our comrades. They are here to support. I don't always agree with them either, but running them off does us no good.

Trust me I am not trying to run anybody off or shut this thread down...I just don't like someone telling me how I should feel and what I should say,I was defending myself(and others in a way)! I see where Sable is coming from, but we have been pretty civil for the past 7 months and yet we still keep on getting trolled and such. Sometimes being more assertive and louder is better if you want to get noticed, and the more of a "fan outcry" Bioware will notice. Its also a bit unrealistic to expect Thane fans not to be angry at all the trolls and indifferent company.

I think we gotta do some kind of new thing to send to Bioware since we seem to be losing the little attention we got from them. I was thinking ordering green-colored cookies or something else to them since the staff seems to appreciate getting food. Let me know who's on board.

Personally I don't see why we should send them food, in order to make them hear us. =/ It's been done before without anyone listening, hasn't it? Not interested in giving them a dinner and a show: them laughing at us for being peeved.

Granted, I'm one of those who have given up and have resorted to calling Bioware unfair towards female gamers, whenever I encounter someone I can discuss games with at all. They've already left their mark on me, and unless they fix the situation, it won't disappear ever. But I won't rage on them on the open forum, well except in here, cause I'm fairly sure this thread is ignored anyway. Thane threads have always been ignored from the devs for some reason.

What I find funny is that they were perfectly nice to Garrus. Whom was a perfect male LI and the only reason I could play through ME3 at all. So they are AWARE of female gamers at least, pfft. But that's also the only place where they are it seems. -.-

Bioware's ME3 isn't a great game to me, it's the game I have as an example of poor female gamer treatment.

I'd definitely send them something -- I'd even bake them cookies myself -- if that's what makes them listen to us. (Though I suppose after travelling weeks from here to BW's headquarters the cookies would be all shattered... just like our expectations of Thane's romance, LOL. That would be fitting.) But seriously, if there was to be another campaign involving sending something to BW, I would love to participate. I think maybe they need to be reminded that we appreciate them (well at least did once) and not hate them, and that we're only upset about this whole romance / femShep treatment issue (I know there are other issues too, but this is the one we most want them to fix, right?). Also, I know the fans have been playing nice for quite a long time but the sad truth is, no one wants to give anything to whiners, however justified the complaints are. I'm not accusing any of you guys about whining, though, for I'm more than pissed off myself. And I haven't even been waiting for BW's answers for as long as most of you. =/


BTW I found this! I wondered if that could happen if romanced Thane was killed in ME2. Now I don't have to make another playthrough to find out. But yeah, seems like Thane really gets more acknowledgment by dying in ME2 than in fight with KL. <_< Why bother keeping him alive...


One more thing. Does anyone know how Shep and romanced Thane's dialogue at Huerta proceeds if the paragon interrupt is not taken? I've been looking for that scene for ages but couldn't find it. And I really don't want to import Thane romance to 3 again just to find out... I'm just curious to know.

Ok all, @giftfish published her second in a series of three, regarding the evolution of LI's in the ME trilogy.  Located, of course, on the Cosmic Love blog.  When you get a chance, give it a read, and feel free to share your thoughts!

@firel and DragonSlayer - we do still have the Thane Fanbook in production.  Unfortunately, it has been a bit on hold.  However, we have every intention of still sending it on to BioWare (it is a big one.....over 400 pages of art, fanfic, essays and humorous dialogues).  We will keep you updated on the status, as more information becomes available.  In the meantime, lending support to the FB page that @mnomaha pointed out, tweeting, and participating in other public sites (points to Cosmic Love site....).  Also, retweeting plushie Thane's travels is also helpful.  He has just landed in Greece, and will be crossing a mighty expanse from there as he heads to the land downunder....and New Zealand. 
@wildannie heads up our travelin' Drell, and has been keeping us apprised of his destinations and posting current photos of his trip.

@Beaniebat is also putting together lovely photo album, that many have contributed to.  It contains screenshots of Thane's time in ME2.  It will also have some write ups to accompany the photos, and I have no doubt it will look great!

And @Squeegee still continues to fight and tweet from #savethane, and various other sites.

If the spirit should move you to participate or start a new project yourself, you most definately have my gratitude and my support......which of course means everything!!!   /scarcasm

Nevermind what I said, apparantly it IS single player stuff.

Well who knows. I can't think of anything they havn't done before, that they can also earn on. Certainly won't expect it to be anything I'm remotely interested in.

It's probably impossible for them to edit the main game, which is where they'd need to go to fix Thane and Jacob.

@coldi I read the Focus Friday -- it was great, and summed up pretty much everything that is wrong with the romances in ME3. Though I might have expected a little more rant about the love triangles. That was one of the things that annoyed me the most: femShep can't really tell Kaidan that she has moved on. She just has to admit on "cheating" on him which is, well, disgusting. I can't think of another word for that. I was literally yelling to the tv when my Shep acted like she was sorry for cheating on him. I wanted her to say something like "how dare you, you ******* ****, Thane was there for me when you weren't and I have nothing to apologize for!" But anyways, great text, can't wait for more!

Well at least they have confirmed that Omega isn't the last SP DLC...that's the only good thing..if there is anything good about that!

@Everyone regarding the Focus Friday on the Cosmic Love blog - Glad you all got a chance to read it, but it should be noted (thought I thought I mentioned it in my advert) that @giftfish wrote the Focus Friday piece. There is still a third installment to come, next week, along with a special Monday Musing and Character Spotlight. All of it is related to what @giftfish has been writing about. And yes, my piece will cover the M!Shep/F!Shep + VS + ME2 LI conversation, that takes place in Huerta Hospital.

Hmmm.....not sure I'll hold my breath on that tweet (gamble's). Only time will tell, but.....

As for the slight ruckus yesterday. Perhaps if someone wishes to address a specific person about a specific issue, a PM might be a good route. Sometimes misunderstandings can be quelled when dealt with one on one.
