Is anyone planning on buying Omega for $15? I wasn't going to buy anyway. Even though I do like Aria that's a lot, and it doesn't seem like you get much with this DLC anyway. Of course no Thane but I didn't expect it really.

I'm also tired of "flings", like Aria is looking like according to the info released, being female. I guess it's easier to work with since asari can hook up with everyone, but it's just irritating and lazy to me.
They need a male species, or a bisexual male, for sheps hook up with. At the very least.

Is Aria going to be a fling? I don't see the need for that at all. Who writes these things?
Bioware probably does feel that since Asari can be with anyone that it's easier than just making a male for femshep to flirt or have a fling with. I guess they don't realize that not everyone wants an Asari.

Well I'm pretty sure my brother will buy it no matter what, so I'll get to play it too... Otherwise I don't think I would buy it, though I like Aria a lot. It's just "meh" without your squad members... especially ME2 squad members... *sigh* I would pay twice that price for a romance DLC that fixes Thane!JECW wrote...

And based on what we've seen, I really don't like that female turian. Even if those boobs are just some clothing trickery, why would a turian female dress like that? Why would she want to look like she has boobs? And then there is the lack of head fringe... at first I thought it was cool, but then I remembered my Garrus romance and how he said to my Shepard something like: "if you were a turian, I'd be complimenting your fringe..." Based on that, I'd expect female turians have fringes just like males do, or even bigger ones, and not lack them... =/
And, AFAIK, Aria is not going to be a fling. I read somewhere that Shepard may "grow a close relationship" with her but not romance her, or something like that.

Not gonna get any of the dlc. Oh and I've heard, and I'm not sure how reliable it is, that all the dlc builds upon each other. It sounded like you have to have them all, in order?, to play the next one. I dunno, it's what it sounded like to me.

I did think the female turian looked a little strange with no fringe and boobs. Maybe we just need to get use to it.
I guess Bioware forgot about the conversation you have with Garrus about the fringe.

I am personally ashamed of BioWare. I feel we all have worked harder to keep Thane alive than they did to kill him off.
I'll keep my money, thank you very much.

If all these DLCs stack I'm going to be ticked. There was a time I would by everything. Now the only thing I bought was from Ashes, and I regret even that.

I just wish we could get past these already planned DLCs and over to the new ones we may have a chance to effect a tiny bit at least.

@Everyone regarding the Focus Friday on the Cosmic Love blog - Glad you all got a chance to read it, but it should be noted (thought I thought I mentioned it in my advert) that @giftfish wrote the Focus Friday piece. There is still a third installment to come, next week, along with a special Monday Musing and Character Spotlight. All of it is related to what @giftfish has been writing about. And yes, my piece will cover the M!Shep/F!Shep + VS + ME2 LI conversation, that takes place in Huerta Hospital.
Coldi, have you been taking credit for the Focus Friday posts again?
Since there has been some confusion in the past also, here is a bit of a breakdown on who does what for the blog (for those of you that are curious, lol). I've been toying with putting this up on the credits page, but honestly, we all pitch in quite a bit, so the post "author" is almost never the only person involved in the post. At any rate...
Monday Musing -- Coldi
Character Spotlight -- guest; sarah_ann_mann & Coldi solicit posts
Quote of the Week -- giftfihs/n7petiole/moho (all these handles are myself)
Screenshot Thursday -- guest, Coldi writes intro, gift inserts slideshow, sarah_ann_mann & Coldi solicit screenshots
Focus Friday -- giftfish
General Editor -- giftfish
Now, watch me forget something and I'll feel like a total ****. >.<
I see things got a bit spirited in the thread this week! Hope folks had a good weekend :]

That said, I got From Ashes right away, and I, too, loved Javik. I did feel like BW/EA was stealing $10 from my pocket though. Just give me the game and increase the cost. Doing it as a Day 1 DLC feels scuzzy to me.

Ok all, @giftfish published her second in a series of three, regarding the evolution of LI's in the ME trilogy. Located, of course, on the Cosmic Love blog. When you get a chance, give it a read, and feel free to share your thoughts!
@firel and DragonSlayer - we do still have the Thane Fanbook in production. Unfortunately, it has been a bit on hold. However, we have every intention of still sending it on to BioWare (it is a big one.....over 400 pages of art, fanfic, essays and humorous dialogues). We will keep you updated on the status, as more information becomes available. In the meantime, lending support to the FB page that @mnomaha pointed out, tweeting, and participating in other public sites (points to Cosmic Love site....). Also, retweeting plushie Thane's travels is also helpful. He has just landed in Greece, and will be crossing a mighty expanse from there as he heads to the land downunder....and New Zealand.
@wildannie heads up our travelin' Drell, and has been keeping us apprised of his destinations and posting current photos of his trip.
@Beaniebat is also putting together lovely photo album, that many have contributed to. It contains screenshots of Thane's time in ME2. It will also have some write ups to accompany the photos, and I have no doubt it will look great!
And @Squeegee still continues to fight and tweet from #savethane, and various other sites.
If the spirit should move you to participate or start a new project yourself, you most definately have my gratitude and my support......which of course means everything!!!/scarcasm
Hugs to all ya crazy drellickers and friends of Thane!
Okay, a few things since I'm still not caught up with what I missed out on when i was sick but when i saw this post I had to respond, so sorry for the coming double/triple/whatever posts. I'll start from the beginning.
Fanbook: Yes it is on hold, and I take full responsibility for that. The essay is the only thing holding us back, but with my carer's responsibilities, my being sick, my high school reunion on saturday (it was AWESOME!
Speaking of that, Emerald? I think we may need to get you to make up the pages for the essay. Yamainu is unfortunately still out of commission (my poor darling). I sent her an email a while a go but I think her reply might have gotten buried somewhere in the pile of messages I had from when I went offline a month ago.... still haven't gone through them all what with all the above reasons, so I don't know what we're doing about the actual physical construction. I believe most of it is done, but yeah, I don't know. Cosmo also offered to post it to bioware and get it printed but yeah, logistics of it and all, since the production team is spread out all over Europe, North America, and here in australia.
Thane Plushie: I can't wait for that. I think the travelling Thane plushie will be in NZ with mnomaha when Mum and I are there! That will be awesome! We can do all those photos of the offical traveling Thane plushie meeting my travelling Thane plushie! Then I can take him around my place when I get back!
New Project: It's actually funny that you mention this. A few days ago Ezri-Krios and I were talking/noting on deviantart about a new fanfic/comic project. one to be run separately from the Fanbook project and SaveThane campaign. She's working out the details, but asked me to put out feelers, so I'll do it now.
This new project is going to be a fanfic/comic project, sorta like the Fanbook, but it will deal specifically and only with Curing/Treating Thane of Kepral's. Working title is going to be "Resolution," which is based off of her fic Resolution. Like the fanbook there will be sample chapters from a whole lot of fics and possibly comics, and like annie's memorial board, and squee's poster, a list of supporters for curing Thane. I have an idea to go along with it, but I haven't discussed it with her yet so I won't mention it here. Anyway, since Ezri can't get onto the BSN (you know, because of that Origin problem) she asked me to put out the feelers.
So what do you think about that?
@coldi, I see what you did thar, too. I love that piece. The fic that mappeli asked me to write for it is nearly done. I'm just editing it, or will be after the essay is finished.
@Roxy. I know. I miss her Thane pieces too, but she had to put all her art on hold because she went back to work and to school for additional training/studying. She's finished now though, except for exams, so she should be able to upload some of the half-finished stuff she had. Poor bugger was getting burnt out.
So, to tied us over, here's another Thane piece. It's the one Roxy mentioned earlier, by JoeBlack. But i'm gonna do the actual picture, since I sense that most of you didn't see it.

And here's another of mappeli's. An oldie but a goodie.

hi
I'm going to bed, but I love the update, @myth! Give me a holler if ya need a hand on anything. And even if the stuff is spread out over...umm...continents (hehe!), I have confidence that we can get this project out, even if we have to rethink how we go about doing it. Wishing @Yamainu hugs too.....miss that lady! Hope you are feeling better my dear, and glad to see that you had a good HS reunion.

I've got a pattern that I made for the Thane Plushie, its not an exact pattern (needs some improvisation) but I can try and look it out and send a pic of it... or I could post some templates to you

Yeah my reunion was awesome. Talked to a lot of people, did a lot of dancing. actually got dragged out on to the floor by the former popular kids that I *never* hung out with in school, and several times during the night i caught myself doing the techno turian! XD Got a LOT of weird looks because most of these people know that I'm a ballroom dancer but bloody oath there's a world of difference between club dancing and dancesport! Still, I had fun. Only woke up with a minor hangover so I don't regret a thing!
As for the fanbook what I really need now, as in right now, this instant now, is the Kepral's timeline that we established. I've been trying to find it (while downloading Hearthfire and Dawnguard and watching videos from the 2012 World Ten Dance Championships in Oslo. Major collision in the Viennese, hehe.) and I haven't yet. I'm trying to match the symptoms of the new and old keprals not only to each other but to the diseases' progression, in relation to the real life diseases it is based on/resembles.
Oh and if I ever volunteer to write an essay like this again, please, someone, hurt me and stop me from doing it. Please?
@Hilsome! I can't wait to see your photos! If you can manage to post yourself over to NZ I'll see you there!
And I'll take a look at the articles as soon as I can! Gonna write as soon as I get off here!
