So many dumb people around...
"ME3 is a better game because Thane dies" What the hell is wrong with them?
If there is a well loved, awesome character - he must die. And it''s not only in Mass Effect, many games and movies kill the best character, and this is cliche. How good would it be, to release from that pattern and for a change, let an awesome character live... Mordin dies, Legion dies, Thane dies. It's stupid, forced and unnatural, that the best characters must die. It means that story is lacking, because a good writing makes you care even if character you didn't cared for earlier dies.
And the best stories make you feel sad when dies the "bad guy"...
Oh wow, I just found one good side of ME3 - I was really sorry for The Illusive Man. Even after all the horrible things he has done.
And Thane's death only filled me with disgust and wasn't emotional at all. I would cry like a child If he could survive. That would make far better and more emotionally involving story than what we got. I wish more people could see it. And a magical cure...yeah, it's rather a magical disease that is the only thing that can't be fixed in the whole Mass Effect Universe with crucible, star child, Tali adapting to Shepard, turian kisses (really? these teeth?), Shepard being alive after being "meat and tubes" and many more...
<takes deep breath>
You know the only hope I have lies in what Patrick Weeks said. Yeah, that about forgetting Thane was a LI. Because he seems to be the only person at BioWare who admitted that something was at least wrong with that.
