Only the best show ever. Avatar: The Legend of Aang and Legend of Korra are proof that you don't need to be M rated, depressing, or gritty to have amazing characters and meaningful storytelling.

Um, it's a cartoon? Not being rude, just checking that I watched the right thing...
Yep, it's an animated kid's show on Nickelodeon. And it's amazing
Though the original series (Legend of Aang/Last Airbender depending on localization) takes about half a season to really come into its own and grow up.

@DragonSlayer it's good to be back but ya all should probably thank Myth and Mnomaha for kinda roping me back in, it's all their fault okay not really but whenever I saw posts by them on FB or tumblr or got a pm from myth it was like I soooooooooo miss everyone still fighting the losing battle over on BSN.
At this point I don't think BW cares at all about any of us they just want their money and to cater to the masses which is how they ended up in this whole mess to begin with, MP, Action Mode, Auto-dialogue, ME3 being the best place in the series to start, I could have told 'em that 99% of the time marketing to the masses is a bad idea and does not end well especially when you ignore and/or alienate your core/original hardcore fans.
So catering to the masses bad idea never turns out well.
As far as any DLC that improves any romances or adds new ones I'm to the point where I just roll my eyes and shrug it off I don't see it happening and if it did well I can see it being very bad and tacky making things worse. And Mass Effect 4 my stance is even firmer on that than it had been I don't really care about anything Mass Effect because Mass Effect 3 was so appalling and such a betrayal and letdown.
Enough with the dead horse kicking from me, on the subject of Emeralds data/thing Vega could be used for a same sex romance there was that one line of auto dialogue that made m go whoa wait what the heck. When Vega was up in Shep's cabin and something about the bed being really comfy and Vega's reply I can't remember exactly what it was but both Shep's autodialogue and Vega's reply had me cringing because clearly I don't go that way and neither does my Shep, and it was all very awkward and OOC.
But yeah Vega could be tossed in there

It's good to see you again Gears.
I think most of us who romanced Thane can agree with you about Bioware. Especially the not caring about what we all think.
It's to bad really.
Any future dlc is only going to deal with the ME3 sqaud. I would very surprised if they did anything for the ME2 squad.
As for LI's Javik might have been fun. James was fun to flirt with but it didn't take me long to get bored with him. He comes across as an airhead sometimes.

I must be one of the few people who really loved James. Don't get me wrong, I love my assassins with dark pasts and crazy apostates and turian vigilantes as much as the next girl, but it was so refreshing to have a normal dude who was well-written. And he would've needed like ONE extra dialogue to be a real LI.
As for Javik, I've never seen the appeal. But then again, I hooked up my Dragonborn with a dragon in headcanon, so I'm not one to talk

I didn't hate James. I liked him I just thought he was a bit boring after a while and not to bright at times. Maybe if he had been availible as an LI I would have felt different. Then again I have always loved the aliens more in sci fi.
I did enjoy his banter with Steve.
I'm not saying Javik would have been my first choice. I do think it could have been interesting. If they had made him and James availible I might have made a Shepard for them.

I think mostly people wanted Javik/James because femShep's choices were gutted. If they were included, and Thane and Jacob were still taken away, then it wouldn't have stung as much.
Don't get me wrong, it still would suck not have Thane/Jacob, but at least you would have had a straight choice available to you and you wouldn't get railroaded into a lesbian relationship.
And it would have given femShep more replayablitiy. Since I can't stand the blue waifu and Sam's scene turned me off, my playthroughs stopped with femShep with Garrus because Kaidan annoyed me (I liked his relationship with broShep though).

He was intended to get the ultimate bad ending because of the choices he made in ME1 and ME2 and then I assumed he'd make in ME3 p!ssing in everyone's cornflakes. Granted a few choices I couldn't bring jack@ss Shepard to do was Kill Wrex, (Wrex always lived) and Kill Samara (Samara I ugggggggggggh I could never bring myself to kill her and take Morinth. Even if this Shep was supposed to be a jerk). He also romanced Ashley in ME1 and Jack in ME2 and was going to dump them both in ME3 and hopefully hook up with a different chick because he was a total @ss.
Anyway bout Jacob I liked him I always enjoyed him more than Kaidan and I've said it before he was like the voice of reason in ME2 his thoughts on many things often echoed my own due to having played ME1 and what not so I always liked him just he needed more of a full story and what not.

Between the ME kmeme and the Skyrim kmeme, I've developed an attitude of "Eh, it's sentient and interested. They'll work out the details." Though there IS an Odahviing/DB fill on the kmeme that actually works out the, erm, physical elements. Not my writing, though, I don't have the balls to tackle something like that

I agree. Though Javik still would've been a problem since he was DLC. Maybe it's just me, but the F/F relationships in ME3 generally smacked of fanservice while the DA:O and DA2 ones did not. Probably because the DA series actually had some equity in romance options and put a lot of depth into the romances regardless of sexuality.
I will say that at least Liara and Sam were well-written.

Wait your self insert hasn't finished ME1? Heh I had three Sheps at one point but by ME2 it was down to just 2 and one was my main one Jake Shep and the other was well he was a dick I created to make all the wrong, evil, and opposite choices my main Jake Shep made. In other words he was created to be a Shep that I wanted to use to screw the whole galaxy over and basically let the Reapers destroy everything because a **** was screwing everything up.

lol....I kinda like the "cut" of Jack@ss Shepard's jibb.
As for the "Self Insert" Shepard; I never really play myself in RPG's. Not to say I don't make some choices based on my own opinions, thoughts, likes, ect...just not all within one play through. And until this recent experiment, I had never tried to make an avatar that actually looks (sort of) like me, nor have I named a PC after myself. So I decided to finally do this....in fact my plan was to do it in ME1 --> import to ME2, and to create self-inserts for DAO and DA2 as well.
I ended up with one in both ME1 (this is the one I will actually play out to the end of ME2), but I also did one in ME2 just because the CC in ME2 was playing nicer than the other CC's (that includes ME1, DAO and DA2). I played a bit of the "me" shepard in ME2, and I can tell you this.....I'm gonna be in a world of trouble because those damn Paragon/Renegade bars weren't moving! HA!

Wait, in Mass Effect 2 didn't Thane mention that the Hanar were working on a cure for Kepral's Syndrome?
He did.
Iirc, He said: "The hanar should be able to adapt us." and: "The project has only been running for a few years. I doubt that my body will still draw breath by the time it is complete."
Note: Not a verbatim quote, so I could have forgotten something or misquoted it.

Yeah, I hear ya. Vega and <Insert male character> could switch places on that list.
Although if the latter is an alien, the human/alien ratio would be slightly imbalanced. I wouldn't mind more "maliens" personally so...either way works for me.

I like Javik a bit more (all that touching!) and would have welcomed doing things for the empire.
Mhm, you're not alone on that one.
(Poor Trollthean, all those primitive feels are confusing him)
*Ehem* That was slightly OT, so here, have a rough pencil sketched chibi-Thane by yours truly:

^Part of a chibi-series featuring 7 of my fav game characters.
Naturally Thane has a secured place in it. And so has Zevran
