And with that, it's time to open a bottle of booze. Once I am well soused, I will engage in more thread banter (also, my husband is looking yearningly at the marinating flank.....I think he's hungry. LOL)
**EDIT**
Some one toss up a sexy Thane pic quick, before we all drown in depresso dead drell thoughts.

@JECW Well if Thane is alive he takes Kirrahe's place(that is if you talk to Thane but he dies anyway if you don't just offscreen) wether Kirrahe is alive or not...and the only way to kill the councilor is if Kirrahe and Thane are dead. ...what a effing letdown.
I thought you were saying that there was a way for Kirrahe to survive the actual fight with Leng. So the only way for him to survive is when Thane takes his place? Bioware made sure their was no way for Thane to survive.
Even Mordin gets a option to be saved. Bioware knows that the majority of people are not going to doom the Krogan just to save Mordin even though everyone liked him. They still felt the need to put it in there anyway.

Mordin living requires, Wrex dead, Mealon's data destroyed, Eve/Bakara to die, and Wreav in charge and from what I've heard if Wreav is in charge and Wrex is dead , Wreav is vocal about wanting to get pay back for the Genophage after the Reapers are dealt with.
Mordin living and sabataging the genophage is in my opinion the only MAJOR choice with a wide rang of factors involved from the other games that play into effect. The Choices we made in Mass Effect 1 and 2 had no real MASSIVE EFFECT in 3.
EDIT while we are talking about Thane's aweful deatha again I wanted to ask am I the only one who thought Anderson's death and how it happened and played out was really tacky and just felt lazy? I mean if they were gonna kill Anderson fine but it felt so stupid and lame how they did it.

Exactly.
Most people aren't going to have any of that in their playthroughs, but bioware still managed to give an option for Mordin to live.
Very true about the choices
I can't think of any other choices that I made in ME1 and 2 that mattered in ME3. I know there are some that put in a lot of time and effort with these games. Careful about the choices they made so they made. It feels like a waste.
Andersons death was ok. It didn't really make me sad or anything. Only mordin's death did that.
I guess I was expecting a bit more then just him sitting there with Shepard dying like he did.

Okay I know this sounds cold but I killed Wrex, destroyed Maelon's data and sabotaged the genophage cure just to save Mordin -- and I didn't even feel as bad about it as I should. (Though I never really knew Wrex; I just had to choose "Kill Wrex" in interactive comic, so of course it was easier to me than to those who played all three games.) And even if many players wouldn't do all that to save Mordin, I think it's good to know that an option exists. When an alternative to letting Mordin sacrifice himself is letting Eve die and leaving the cure sabotaged, the sacrifice feels more meaningful. If every choice you make led to Mordin's death, it would just be "meh" -- just like in Legion and Thane's cases.JECW wrote...

But yes, no matter how much I love Mordin, I think it's unfair that he got better treatment than some of our LIs. IMO the LIs should have been the first priority.
BTW my brother finally got the whole trilogy on PS3. It sucks that he had to buy them all when he only lacked ME1, but no can do. >.< Soon we'll get to know the ME1 squad better... Perhaps I could even learn to like Kaidan? He didn't really give me a good first impression in ME2 lol. But I don't think I'll be able to romance him, or import his romance to 2 & 3 anyway. His cheating accusations in 3 really made my blood boil. I might try Liara's romance instead -- she wasn't that much of a writers' pet back then, was she? Hmm okay maybe I'll just play the game and see what feels right. xD

Hey guess what guys, this might be the last post I write under my dear brother's username. I finally got to create my own account! =) I just can't post with it just yet. But after ~24 hours from here I'll be back as Stilographium. Going through some identity crisis here LOL. I had almost gotten used to being DragonSlayer.

Not surprising with how ME3 went and now the closure of the C&R forums

I know, I left for a period of time when the C&R forums were closed/locked. I think for many of us it was a last straw that we really didn't matter and so it was like going to work and coming home only to find you girlfriend/boyfriend/whatever had all your stuff packed up and sitting on the door step for you and all the locks had been changed so you couldn't get it in.
And that's how I'd describe what locking the character threads was like, as such many of many of us just left it was the last straw of betrayals and hurt so we decided we were better off without 'em. In this case the "em being BW/EA. Yep I'm rather good at using such metaphores or comparasions to describe things.
