Also was going through my friends list good lord all the people that have moved on and left WOW.
Not surprising with how ME3 went and now the closure of the C&R forums
I know, I left for a period of time when the C&R forums were closed/locked. I think for many of us it was a last straw that we really didn't matter and so it was like going to work and coming home only to find you girlfriend/boyfriend/whatever had all your stuff packed up and sitting on the door step for you and all the locks had been changed so you couldn't get it in.
And that's how I'd describe what locking the character threads was like, as such many of many of us just left it was the last straw of betrayals and hurt so we decided we were better off without 'em. In this case the "em being BW/EA. Yep I'm rather good at using such metaphores or comparasions to describe things.
The Miranda fans are getting a lot of the blame for that happening.
I still think it was silly to close the entire C&R forum. Instead of trying to fix the problem they just decide to close it. I guess thats how Bioware deals with problems. They just ignor it and don't deal with it at all.

You mean after months of the tempermental Miranda fans who are quick to become defensively hostile and months of threads filled with upset fans BW decides it's best to lock the forums.... yep it still screams to me as BW saying "Shut up, we don't care, we don't want to hear from the unhappy fans, so here lock."

Pretty much.
They weren't moderating these forum like they should have been. So the solution is to close the forum.
Things probably wouldn't have gotten so bad if bioware would have just admitted that some were unhappy with their game. Instead of addressing the problem they just ignored it and a lot of the fans. Of corse things would get out of control so they are just going to ignore the issue.

If they believe that then they are sadly mistaken.

I just bought Fallout 1 & 2 and FO Tactics for like $7. Old Skewl my lovelies!
Oh, but it will wait. I've rolled Daniel (Dnaiel) into ME2 and been screenshotting (is that even a word?) the hell out of it.
Lemme know if you need ME2 Dude(note bi)Shep. I can even put that Village People outfit on him, poor bastert. I rather like Dnaiel (it was a type, but I kinda like it). I would do him.

I don't know what the hell the Miranda fan base has a problem with or why they are fighting amongst themselves. They were at least addressed to about their problems by BioWare, and they are more than likely to receive a fix than we are.
I was told once, and I sh*t you not to act more "composed" like the Miranda fan base. Ah, no offense BioWare, but I at least didn't get an entire forum locked down. Bah, BioWare is just full of it. I swear to God.

So, I have a question about ME1: are there any paragon/renegade interruptions in it at all? Because my brother has been playing it about six hours now and he hasn't seen any. Or will they just appear later in the game?
//edit
@mnomaha I see, thanks for the info!

@Squeegee, to put it kindly I find much of the Miranda fanbase to be very temperamental.
@Mnomaha, WTF there is a village people mod? *facepalms* Now I'm wondering if you can get a more metal version of the mod ya know more Judas Priest Rob Halford?

Also, no there is not a mod like this. one of the casual outfits available just screams "edit for censors". It's awful in so many ways.

also I'm pretty sure that photo of Blackie is from '96 right before the release of Still Not Black Enough, I still laugh at the grundge killed rock thing because some bands were alive and active very active.
Hey remember the old ME3 Thane thread? We used to just go of topic and back on and off kinda like the new thread here, ironicly this "New" Thane thread used to be the old one now the new one is the old one.

Wait Dan who? Buttware is now back to hiring people to wander the threads and act like a fan or whatever like they did with Dragon Age 2?

It's kind of cerebral so it's titled "The Phenomenology of Shepard". It deals with the themes of memory and death in their relationship.
Here's chapter 1! I'll be posting on a weekly basis for what looks like a long, long time.
I hope you enjoy it!
