I think they are great games. You play as male though and that upsets some women. I don't care really because again, they're great games. Also quite mature games, so beware the kiddies at certain times.
And unlike other game devs, when the market something as mature, they mean it. Quite a bit more than some side bewbs. LOL Probably because they're not afraid of Fox News.
The game is based off some books by a Polish author and the story follows that a bit. Still, definitely worth a play.

That same studio is putting out a Cyberpunk RPG which looks pretty freaking awesome.

Along with BW? Hey I'll just live in the BW offices that way I'm serving as security too.
lots of the Liara hate comes from her being treated as clear fav but more so at least I think is the way the Liara fans are quick to get all bent out of shape and upset whenever other fans are ranting about how Liara was handled. When venting about something the last thing anyone wants is some doucheb@g telling you your wrong for feeling however you do and that you''re out of place and line for being upset at her treatment. Or whatever.
Just the other week I got told that and I'm quoting this as near word for word as I can, which is probably about 95% exactly what was said. "You can't feel Liara was forced on you because she wasn't forced on anyone. So stop being so hateful towards her character and claiming absurded notions of feeling like she was forced on you as a romance. Liara is one of Shepards best friends just like Garrus and yet you're not b!tching that Garrus was forced on you. SO stop saying Liara was forced on you because she wasn't and you can't feel like she was."
I'm not gonna lie when I found that waiting for me in my tumblr box (I think it was tumblr it might have been another forum I can't remember where it was excatly.) I split a gut. Apparently this person can tell me how I can or can't feel. Umm sorry doucheb@g not your place.

Sounds good.
I saw that it's the same company that's putting out the new Cyberpunk game. It looks like a very interesting game.

And this is why I refuse to use Tumblr. If someone wants to say stupid things to me on BSN, they at least have to do so in public on the thread where other people can read it too

Well, you can show their question to you publicly AND turn off option to anonymous contacting to your profile. Which is default option too, when you register.

Yes! That cyberpunk looks amazing. I saw that a week or two ago. Just increased the excitement for me. Well, that and the next Witcher game. And Metro Last Light (if there really is a diety out there) and Bioshock. So really, I'm pretty set for games to look forward to. And I doubt any of these will disappoint on the level of the last game that crushed me.
The cyberpunk game has me excited as well. I'm also looking forward to the new Tomb Raider and The Last of Us.
I don't know if any game could disappoint me as much as ME3 did.

I think I learned a very important lesson with ME3 about expectations. The game as a whole is ok. I've played games that are objectively worse. But it FEELS like a worse game because I had such crazy high expectations, and it fell so short. TBH even if ME3 had been a good game, I'm not sure it would've met what the hype whipped it into.
So from now on, whenever a game gets the whole "THIS WILL BE THE BEST THING EVER" treatment, even if it's from a studio I like, I'm just gonna wait and play the damnable thing before I pin any hopes on it.

And no more believing the paid reviewers like IGN. I'm only listening to my gamer friends.

Of course it can be a setup of my own doing when I have such high expectations for a game (which really doesn't happen that often), but those expectations are born by what came before. I thoroughly enjoyed ME and ME2, and played both games numerous times. I also happen to adore the DA games, and had played DAO before anything ME. So these games set a standard. One I "assumed" to continue. It doesn't matter if it was a decent game in comparison to the stack of games I have purchased through the years, that I couldn't stomach. When I put that disk in and tried to play, I couldn't "do" what I did in the two prior games. People can argue as much as they want about how rigid or narrow-minded I must be, but the game broke immersion immediately (among other problems), and I could never get it back. So no, I couldn't play the game in a manner that was the same as the previous two ME games.
So what do I take away from that....like @mnomaha, I will rely on those I know, demo's and YouTube. I have no doubt, that I will still manage to pick up a few "stinkers" along the way, but I don't imagine they will be terribly upsetting; "Shucks.....*shrug*".
Though, I probably should adopt a better stance, and follow the likes of @wildannie; just stop playing games so much....HA!
**PS: Hire me as well, Shell. All I need is a gym membership paid for, a monthly contribution to my Health Savings Account, and a "fat" bonus when the game goes gold. K?

I think for me ME3 taught me never to get invested in another game like I did with ME. I had never even been invested in a game before ME. If I saw a game I liked sometimes I read reviews, or just see what others who played it said. Some were good and some weren't, but I wasn't invested in it. I did become invested until ME2. I wasn't invested in ME1 at all. ME2 and Thane is when I became more invested in these games. Then ME3 came along and let me down. It let a lot of us down.
I don't have high expectations for Tomb Raider since the last few haven't been that great so I guess I'm safe with that one. The other game is made by the same people that made Uncharted so I'm not worried about that one either. Cyberpunk is suppose to be an rpg so I would definitaly get others reviews on that one first.
@mnomaha
I also won't be paying much attentin to those so called reviews from people like IGN. I never really payed much attention to them anyway. I mostly would look at gamespot or gameinformer.

Good point. I find it hard not to get invested at all (I am still pretty into Dragon Age, and Skyrim has its hooks firmly in me), but avoiding the depths of ME investment is probably wise.
Whenever something means more to you than just a game series, book, movie, etc. it becomes really crushing when it doesn't deliver. Harry Potter, for example, was an integral part of my childhood growing up, way more important than a book series. But Harry Potter (at least for me) always delivered. ME3 didn't.
