Sooooo.....explosive. Wut? Did I just go there.... :P Sorry, couldn't resist.

The threats are ridiculous no matter which fandom it came from. If it is a Thane fan....let.it.go! *sigh*

What is done, is done. Make your voices heard through the one means you have left....your wallet (that is, if you wish). If this game is too broken, and the DLC will add nothing to it for you, don't buy. That is my intention.

As for this thread, I think we need some Thane art. (why am I always asking for Thane art, when I am in no position to post some myself....LOL >.<)

**EDIT**

BLARG!  And I'm TOP!Image IPB

Well, if it's fake, it's even worse than a fandom actually doing it. But it can't be fake, none'd be that stupid... I hope.

I'm still getting the dlc indirectly, since that friend sent me the points to buy it. He's desperatly trying to make me see some good in ME3 and... there's still Garrus and Javik for me.

Well...she did say "complicated and spoilery". I don't see anything complicated about it.

I am going back to the "pictures or it didn't happen" camp.

To think of it, two of the three drell we see are/can be mistreated...

Doesn't Feron also die off screen if you didn't do the shadowbroker dlc?

On Tumblr I read kinda funny and kinda sad speculation.

Speculation is that you would get Thane V.I.

Now funny part is short fanfic user made.
That Thane and Shepard V.I. meet and after Synthesis they get self aware and alive( like Kasumi's dead boyfriend in greybox), so they live happily ever after.

You know, if there's ever a reason I would pick Synthesis, that would be the one.
Just because, Thane and Shepard deserve to get something.

That's as dumb as Emily Wong dying on twitter.

We don't even know what happened to Kolyat.

Would you believe me if I said that, that is the main reason why I bought LotSB to save Feron, poor Feron! Image IPB

And yeah it seems every drell we have come across has been mistreated Image IPB

Whoa, I go off for like 3 hours and I come back to 3 more pages!!

Is there actual proof it was one of our crowd that made those threats or is it just hearsay?Because, really, from all of the amazing people in here, I can't see anyone doing THAT sort of lame, nutty thing!:/

And they're still trying to convince us to buy the dlc for our personal 'experience'...Reaaaally? So we can watch whatever nonsense they have prepared for Thane-assuming there is actually anything other than a holovid to watch-instead of what they should have made and pay them for the added aggravation and heartache, is that it?:(

Didn't know that about Feron!O.o Geez, why are they killing our precious drell????:(:(:(

EDIT: Well, after just wording a large reply for Dusty...he does have a point on personal experience; but sigh...if it means watching Thane die all over again or seeing a holovid or some heart-wrenching letter...I don't think any of us can handle that without 1.bowling and 2. getting enraged!:(I know I can't!!:crying:

lol...I'm not a well woman. So many drell avatars, so little time. Does my drell inspired t-shirt that my Evan Shepard is wearing (see current avatar), good enough?

I think Kolyat was mistreated, too. :P He loses his father just a few months after reuniting with him and doesn't even get to talk about it with his "stepmom". Also, he seemed a bit... out of character to me in 3. I expected more emotion from him at his father's deathbed, considering how he was shedding tears when seeing his father back in ME2. Did spending time with priests make him that stoic?? A part of me is glad he got some character development but then again, I feel like they just wanted to make sure Thane didn't have any responsibilities left when dying, so they needed to make Kolyat mature quickly and be all cool about his father dying.

@Beanie Those are some very nice pics! <3

and aye on Kolyat; plus, we have no idea where he is when the Citadel gets hijacked, so he might well be dead off-screen too!!!:(

This seems like a horrible idea. But I'm a synthesis hater. If there is something more stupid than Thane's inevitable death  and Shepard's 'reaction' to it, it's the synthesis ending. ;)

Honestly, the whole idea for the ME3 was wrong, from beginning to the end with some minor plots or greater plots that were amazing. Still, the game as a whole isa dissapointment in comparison to 1st and 2nd game.I only accepted the game and some of its failures, believing that Thane would get that cure. But once there's no such chance at all, I can go back to thinking, that ME3 is not canon for this trilogy. Everything ends at ME2 and then it is only headcanon.

Yesterday, when I went to sleep, I was thinking about all this, I couldn't calm for a long time. Then I came up with idea, that Shepard is unconscious for some time in Arrival and Reapers are trying to indoctrinate her. All the events from ME3 are in fact a Reaper manipulation combined with dreams and nightmares. When Shep picked destroy, she finally woke up from the indoctrinated dream. Still, the epilogue doesn't fit. ;/

Edited some mistakes.

I still consider the Indoctrination theory as a plausible course ME3 could have taken-it could easily enough solve so many of the inconsistencies, couldn't it? And the plot twist at the end, I feel, could have, indeed, been a work of art, if they had gone with that!:/

Kolyat has always been yet "another" reason why I can't stand Thane's involvement with the coup. Kolyat is 18-19 years of age. Yes, that is legal age of majority in many countries, but many 18-19 are still dependent on their parents at that age, and PARENTS often still think of their teenage children as...well...children. All of my friends who have children in their late teens and early twenties, would be protecting (if possible) their children, and concerning themselves with their whereabouts and safety, in a crysis. So I keep wanting to yell at Thane whenever the coup is brought up, "Where's your son, knucklehead!" Ah well.....it is, what it is.

Word. Seriously trying to cut the apron strings, but love having her live in the backyard in her own little apartment. I know where she is most of the time and if there is a problem, she's close enough where I can help her.

Although she is also close enough to drive me insane at times. Especially when I need some "alone time". LOL

This. Thane might not be an epitome of a good father but he went through a lot of trouble to find his son and prevent him from becoming an assassin. He accepted that it would take time to rebuild his relationship with his son, and he was ready to work on it. Yet in ME3 he only briefly mentions Kolyat when talking with friend!Shepard, we have no clue where Kolyat is during the coup and, well, the death scene is what it is. I can't get over how selfish Thane seems, even unromanced, being so ready to die when he is just getting to know his son again. It breaks my heart.

Aw crap, now I kind of want to write a fic about Thane and Kolyat again. I already have like 10 unfinished ME fics. =P The mess with this new DLC isn't helping me to want to finish them.
