uhm... about the bomb threat, was it this? :S (was a reply to one of my
posts on tumblr) i thought it was obviously just a manner of speech and
not serious at all..

http://andromedashep...-a-favor-and-go

I wouldn't really take that "threat" serious... I've seen plenty of those things in other games and even movies. It's sad and pathetic but not what I would call a legitimate threat.

Darnit, I always forget to use a quote box... don't know how to edit that in now... as an actual quote lol.

I doubt  that...if I recall right, someone in here wrote that a Dev was actually threatened and such; and anyone could tell what you link was not said seriously!O.o

Then again, who knows...But as Thraz says, I too have heard and seen worse!Who would take that comment as an actual threat, sheesh!!!O.o

um, nobody said a Dev was actually threatened and such, not that I am aware of anyways.

No evidence was presented.

Not sure if you mean the one in the first or second post, so here's both!

I really should have put the sources in to begin with, I was just being lazy!

Edit: For some reason, only half of my post is showing... nothing looks wrong though!

Yeah, Dusty was under no obligation to step into a minefield :D  He does have kind of a point about the YouTube thing; it is very different watching someone else play vs. playing yourself.  The emotions, the connection, everything other than the pictures on your screen is different.  But...still gonna wait for fan review on this DLC.

As for the bomb threat, crap like this and the outpour of Fan Dumb over Jennifer Hepler's comments are why devs stop posting, talking, and interacting with the fandom.  And for good reason.

Well, we don't know who it was and she didn't give any more information. I deem it invalid.

Sable my dear I love ya, and I actually agree to a certain extent with what you said....defending Dusty's encouragement of us buying the DLC for ourselves, instead of relying on YT. Problem for at least some of us is....there was no "connection" anymore. I have said this more than once, even BEFORE seeing Thane in Huerta's, I was disconnected from my Shepard. Enough autodialogue, and MY favorite middle option gone (yup, I am a diehard Paragade/Renegon, and often used the neutral option. I called it the "Just the facts, maam" dialogue option....lol), along with glitches/bugs, and some pretty cheesy moments, I was no longer immersed. When I got to Huerta and started my chat with Thane, I nearly dropped my controller in disbelief. If I had even a shred of immersion left, it was gone with those few minutes of dialogue. Boom! Cate Shepard was no more, and I couldn't care less about the rest of the story. I played for only about 30-40 minutes longer, and said 'enough'.

So how can I "reconnect" or reimmerse myself in a character and plot line, that I feel that detatched from to begin with? The only way I was ever going to regain a connection to this game, was taking my Evan Shepard into the game (the closest Shep I have that matches their "canon" Shep.....lol), and using whatever improvements the DLC could provide to become immersed....as much as I could be. But alas, the DLC will not provide the needed ingredients for me to do so, so.......no buy. If I am proven wrong, I will gladly eat crow, but we all know that is false hope.

So, back to grinding in the Everfall. Weeeeeeeeee! :D :D

That's totally fair.  I might get the DLC for my Garrus and Miranda playthroughs (after seeing fan reviews of course). We'll see how "immersive" it really turns out to be.

I'm actually just happy that a dev is speaking to us at all. And doubly so because he isn't even Thane's writer, and I don't believe he probably has any kind of veto power over what does or doesn't end up in any given dlc/game. He obviously cares enough either about Thane, or the fans, to speak to us and that's really cool, in my book. Dusty gets respect points + from me for the dialogue with us, when he had no obligation to do so.

And he does have a point, for a non-romanced Thane at least. His reply about how the bedside scene moved him was almost verbatim what my youngest brother said his reaction was to it, and he obviously didn't romance Thane either as he plays broShep.

Does my posting on facebook that I want an auto-kill button, with no other context, count? Because I did that, and I did intend it for certain people in particular *squinty eyes*

@Coldi...grinding in Everfall? Sounds like a porn.

@Sable...yeah, pretty much was Coldi said about immersion. I cannot play another FemShep. I did get through a GarrusShep, but I can't do it again. If I do buy it, it will be for Steve and it's a big "if".

@Maera...I like Dusty. I wish someone would have actually talked to us ages ago, but I can see why they didn't. They've brought nothing to the table, so easier (and makes more sense) to hide from us.

Yeah, it does. Especially if you're not the one in control of the fact that you have nothing to bring to the table, and yet you're thrown to the wolves -or in his case, willingly walk into their den.

But I do like him; he seems pleasant and sincere. I've never really seen him around though, but then I didn't dwell here much after I realized the endings to ME3 really were that bad, and not just hoaxes, something they did to troll people for the 'space launch', etc. When I came back the last time the character forums had been locked up, so I probably missed getting to talk to a few cool devs off and on. Who did he write? Or what part? I'm kind of derp on who wrote what other than Thane and Tuchanka.

Steve? Cool. Steve was my favorite of the 'new' people in 3, and one of the few things about 3 I enjoyed. I wasn't expecting it, but he and my femShep really bonded. I loved Steve's character. That bit in the club where he was talking about admiring the male dancers, in my headcanon, he and my Shep just kind of hung there having a 'bros' moment.

Excellent. /mrburns

OH yes, he did indeed write the lovely Mr. Cortez. It's suck that I'm forced to play as the opposite sex to enjoy this game, but Steve helps.

Dusty just wrote steve as far as I know.
He did do a good job. I enjoyed talking to steve, but he wasn't my favorite new character. I didn't really care for any of the new people except Javik. He was rude, but I liked it.

And I'm sorry but I don't agree with one word of what he said about Thane. I hate when people who didn't do the romance say things like he wasn't wasted. Of course he was.

I forgot about Javik. I am ashamed of myself. Okay, he and Steve are tied then, for fave new ME3 person. :P Javik was hilarious.

*tries to think of something on topic about Thane* Um. He's green. His voice is awesome. His killing of many dudes with his bare hands in the Blur Trailer was crazy epic and... I miss it. I should go find it.

He was hilarious. I admit that one of the reasons I liked him is because of the way he treats Liara. I know it sounds bad, but I find it funny. I always take him to Thessia.

I loved that Blur Trailer. Thane was the best thing about that Trailer. I loved the other one too.
Makes me miss ME2. When Thane was so awsome and had a writer who cared.

I didn't like Javik at first but then I got to know him and his past and then I understood why he was such an **** lol
Anyways I like him now and l just loooove taking him with me on Thessia! ;D

Yes I agree I liked...no loved it when Thane had a Great writer and one who cared about his character not some shmuck who didn't do his homework and just "wanted to write about an assasin" and probably wrote it all while siitting on the John!  >:(
