Sheesh, no way can I keep up with this thread right now. Cool, though. I still plan to stop in here and lurk and occasionally post and hopefully see and talk to the folks here.

For me, the best thing about ME3 is that it bothered me so very, very much, that it forced me to seek out alternatives, leading me to fanfiction (some of which is awesome!) and to this place (also full of awesome people). So that's my silver lining.

I really wish people would realize, taking away the Thane issues, is that BW has introduced and encourage unequal treatment of fanbases. And it's a bad precedent.

-Femshep has two hetero LIs taken away without anything to replace them. BroShep keeps his.
-Protests by fans of LIs that were taken away are belittled and ignored. Fans of broShep's LIs that didn't get what they want are praised and encouraged.
-Fans of taken femShep LIs won't get any content compared to what broShep LI's get.

This is the true issue. People should be scared that this unequal treatment could happen to a character they like. THis isn't about Thane dying or Jacob being a cheater, it's about femShep being left in the lurch.

Sigh. I was on the fence concerning this DLC. But now I can't justify the purchase. I love ya Garrus, but it's not enough to overcome what Thane and Jacob fans went through.

I still want to know what happens to Jacob, if anything. That will be really telling if he doesn't get anything, as that signify that there were wrong LIs to choose. Too bad they didn't let us know in ME2.

I wonder if Vega would be made available?

I find it disheartening myself, @Dineboo. And considering how previous titles have been mostly fair-minded when it came to such things, this current title makes me slightly wary of things to come.

I'm guessing nothing of significance (if anything) will happen with a romanced Jacob. But I too am curious to find out. As for Vega, I find it unlikely that they would introduce a brand new full romance in a DLC, especially since they have made it clear, nothing outside the DLC has been added. Since all the current squadmate LI's have there final love scene after the DLC can be played (isn't that right??), then my guess is no. Course, never say never I suppose.

It's funny, I wouldn't have had a problem in the slightest if James had been made a LI from the get-go (honestly, I assumed that he was going to be), but I admit (selfishly, sad to say) I would be ever so slightly peeved if they added a romance with him via this DLC, but could change the romance fate of Jacob and Thane. Meh.....not that it would affect me in the slightest...*shrug/sigh*

Just saw Merizan's tweets. My comments are
She doesn't say it was a Thane fan, I don't particularly like the tone of, "If you think it was your crowd then it probably is."

I'm sure she's understandably upset, but I'd prefer a "yes it was a Thane fan" or "no it was a < > fan" to the passive aggressive stuff.

Which is why I dismissed her claim (ha!) in the end. It could have been anybody, but we (and the Jacob fans) are the ones who have every right to be upset.

Either that or she's trying to disrupt our discussions. And it did just that in here.

Or since mnomaha asked her if it was one of "our crowd," Jessica assumed she'd seen the relevant comment.  It's not an unreasonable assumption to make, and it's easy to misconstrue what people say over twitter.

This is a fair point, but to play devil's advocate again, would it therefore be better if the Citadel DLC addressed none of the inequities that plagued the ME2 LIs as a whole?  Miranda and Jack, while not mistreated as badly, certainly got the short end of the stick as well.  Ashley's ME3 content was plagued with bugs and cuts that amounted to character assassination.  Is it somehow more equitable if none of the LIs who were lacking get anything out of Citadel?

Personally, I'm happy that Jack and Miranda get more. It's just very bitter to be left in the lurch again.

This is so unfair. Now all they say is Thane fans are crazy and they have no reason to complain. Patrik Weekes retweeted that link to the blog saying how wrong is to want Thane to live. WTF is wrong with these people??

So everyone can have their opinion and we can't?
Why can't they see that what they did to Thane and us is just cruel?

I'm the one managing threads about the Romance DLC & #SaveThane on many French-speaking forums and they are currently joking about the fact I should apologize to Jessica Merizan - as if it was me who threatened her. I know they are joking, but still... not cool :/
